Deleted_User wrote: »Morning,
It's Friday...always a good day...it is also very chilly too...I think we are on the slippery slope to Autumn now, but all in all the weather has been good the later part of the year so I'm not complaining.
I did it, I paid the £1.95 off the BC, so it at least look tidier than it did.
DH got a letter through from the bank offering him 32 months at 0% APR if he took out their CC, I told him that I think we should go for it and then cut the card up once it arrives and he agreed. Thanks Monz for listening to my fretting last nightI have all the necessary paperwork with me and will apply on his behalf today, I'm sure I can always save the application if DH needs to do anything in particular.
If he gets accepted, which I can't see any reason why not, I can then transfer as much as I can from the BC over, obviously taking in to account the transfer fee to be added on top.
Got my lunch with me again today, cheese and pickle sandwich and a cuppa soup out of my drawer.
Always here to listenxxx

Afternoon and Happy Monday
The CC is showing up on the mobile banking but the balance transfer hasn't gone through yet, as the application was only done on Friday, I assume that it'll be at least Friday before it's showing. Itching to get going on that one!
Brought lunch with me today.
Meal plan for this week has been done.
Didn't have a great day yesterday as I woke up feeling pants...still felt dodgy this morning but much better now, so I think it was a little bug.
Very impressed with my car, it seems to be more economical than the last one and I've only had to fill it up once, where as the last one I had to put diesel in at least twice a week.
Week looks like this so far:
M - DS Cadets
T - DS meet the tutor
W - DS Cadets & DD Guides
T - Gym induction (me)
F - Weekend starts0 -
So it seems that Tesco are paring up with Jamie Oliver....Guess I'll be boycotting them then. Their prices are creeping up anyway and I can't stand him so that gives me more reason to ditch them.0

Tesco definitely getting more expensive and my local one stocking less and less own branded products, went to get fruit the other day and a whole aisle was empty!
We have a Lidl opening on 27th September and it's literally across the road from me so can't wait to try it.
Hope you're well, H x0 -
Good news on the 0% BT.
Mr T are doing less own brand stuff which is disappointing. Lidl does some good stuff but I think some of Lidl's own brand stuff is not great quality. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

We have a Lidl not far from home, some of their stuff is ok but a lot isn't. I have tended to shop at Sainsbugs as we like their chicken.
We have a £100 gift card for Tesco that my mum gave us last year for Christmas, I will save it up and use it at Christmas this year as it will help but gradually will move away from Tesco.
I think we have an Aldi somewhere but don't know if it is local enough to home to use.0 -
DH got confirmation that the balance transfer has been accepted and that it will show on the account tomorrow :j
That will leave the figures as follows:
MBNA: £5960 - 0% Sept 2019
BC: £40
Lloyds: £10,000 - 0% to Approx April 2021
I left the £40 with BC as it is a small amount that I didn't see much point in transferring it over.
I'm hoping that by September next year BC will send us through another 0% deal, I can then transfer the remainder of MBNA on to it, whilst paying off the LC.
I've had a look on the mobile banking app and it is mega easy for me to make a payment to the LC, I was a bit worried about how I go about it.
Time for a new diary I think.0 -
You're doing so well and seem very focused.0
