Morning,
Still lurking on here, just not really had chance to update my diary.
Things are still going on in the background and I'm wondering if they will ever be sorted!
Lunches to work are going ok this week, so that's good.
Didn't get to go out last Friday, it was just a no go...no reason, just a none starterstill I managed to blitz the house last week, so that was a good thing
It was our anniversary on Tuesday and we ordered a curry for a change.
DH has announced that he's signed us all up to the dentist...I know we should've done it when we moved, but I have a serious phobia of them and I knew that the kids needed to go but kept putting it off.
We are going back to the old place on Sunday, so that the kids can catch up with their old friends, I hope that the weather keeps clear, so that they can have some fun.
I need to get my act together and get things moving.0 -
I always got mixed feedback at my DS and DD's parents evenings, depending on the teacher.
Good that DH sorted the dentist - needs to be done unfortunately. I've had some horrendous things done at the dentist - root canal, crowns and veneers. All worth it in the end though and the needles don't hurt as much as they used to thank goodness.
Have a good weekI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
May has been sporadic with regards to posting and debt busting.
I feel like I'm taking two steps forward and umpteen steps backwards with life at the moment.
May's goals weren't a total washout but as usual I could've done better. I'm thinking maybe small weekly steps with June, to see if that motivates me a bit more.
Panelbase have flagged up a Quality Check? Hope that's not a bad thing, I've only been doing their surveys a short time so no major loss if the account is closed but I would be annoyed.
PA, I'm waiting on a few surveys to clear then I can cash out.
Onepoll, I've not done anything on for ages.
I have been slightly more active this month, just need to up it a bit more.
I was looking at my tapestry and I am determined to finish it, it's only lingering on because I have a big load of blue sky to do and it is draining doing it, when I should just pull my finger out and get on with it. I enjoy it and it is relaxing.
LTW, not too bad this month but I lost count in the end, probably due to my erratic posting.
The BC debt has gone up but that is because DH has had to use it for his expenses, once they come in on the 20th, that'll be paid off.
June's Goals
Lunches to work
Meal plan
Keep going with my tapestry
Walk more
Reduce grocery spends
Do more surveys
Things coming up in June
DS's birthday (29th)
Father's day (17th)
DD's Boulogne Trip (29th)
Pay remainder of DS's cadet trip to IOW - £80
Debt so far:
MBNA - £6200.00
BC - £6482.06
Cap One - £400.00
Overall, I'm quite happy with how things are going debt wise, considering the Cap One card was over £700 by July last year because of DS, it is going down and the MBNA card was at £9000+ back in October 2016.0 -
You're doing Fab!
Keep plodding

Making fab progress, and as long as it's going down, it' still progress regardless of how slow it might feel.
Hope you hit all your June goals. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -
Hiya,
It's Friday and I love a FridayI'm tired, hot, tired, hot and motivated and did I mention tired? lol For a four day week it's been a long and busy one on site.
We have the BSI auditors due next week and as a consequence we had a pre-audit yesterday...that was fun! Not!
Any way I have made my 'mini goals' for next week:
Lunches to work - 4 days - 1 day done so far
Top up shops - 2 days - 1 day done
NSD's - aiming for 3 days
Reading
Stick to meal plan
I was also VERY tempted to make a random payment and pay off £5 off the Cap One and get that under the £400 mark but decided against it, it will be under that very soon.
I also realised once I'd updated my signature that I am close to hitting my £7000 target for the year....may need to revise that one once I hit it :j0 -
A new month is a great time to review your goals. The debts are definitely on a downward trajectory. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Morning,
It's Monday and I'm soooo tired today. Had a rude wake up call by the dawn chorus this morning....3.30am is not a good time to be woken up by blasted birds!
Had a good weekend and was nicely relaxed, I managed to get some of my tapestry done, I was aiming to get one particular bit done....got close lol
Took my engagement ring in to the local jewellers, £289 to fix it. Not as bad as I was thinking it would be so they have it and it'll be ready in three weeks. After 10 years of not wearing it, I'm looking forward to getting it back.
Meal plan done for the week.
DH's expenses are due on the 20th, so I can sort out the CC then.
A couple of surveys done this morning on PA
We have a mobile bike man coming over tomorrow to look at DS's bike, he had an accident on it during the week, so I need £19 for that.
Brought my lunch to work this morning, I'm aiming to go over my target, but if I hit it then I'll be happy.
Here's hoping for a frugal week! :cool:0 -
Have a lovely day PMO2
