1 An organising time, I found more photo’s on the computer and moved them all over to a central area, which feels organised. Also I spent a long time over time putting together things that DH may need to know, have today but it in a safe place with the will, just at least keeps my mind at rest. Morbidly organised I guess.
2 More stuff cleaned, it’s the part of having animals, it was the weekly animal deep clean, pleasure to finish it. Washing loads hung out a frugal pleasure.
3 A local ice cream company that provides to posh places offered a ridiculously good local deal I took them up on it, rather looking forward to a treat.
4 This is our third week of nothing in, which was wearing thin, so a basics farm delivery tomorrow is much looked forward to, and looking forward to even more next week’s asda delivery, or as DH is calling it the “proper” shopping, he’s not a fan of the fruit and veg.
5 I just sat, in the garden with a tea, watching all the little birds, and a beautiful vibrant yellow flutter by.

I love marmite dfv
1) while waiting for the kettle to boil at various points of the day worked my way round the unit and drawer fronts - now all sparkly
2) made a very nice minestrone soup, a bowl of which i had for lunch with bread followed by apple crumble and custard
3) last of yesterday's toad in the hole for supper with potatoes, cabbage and tomato. Used a scoop of the minestrone juice for gravy - genius!
4) online chat with friends from church - everyone seems to be doing well. a week ago we lost a dearly loved member of the congregation so update on her funeral. we will have a memorial service when this is all over
5) then long walk with dd2 and the dogs.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) A lie in.
2) The hen bedding arrived so I cleaned the hen's sleeping quarters out. Not much else to do on the allotment until the plants and seeds arrive.
3) Did our weekly farm shop order. Managed to get flour and caster sugar this week, so we are doing well. Bought some chocolate eggs ready for Sunday and have hidden them so well that I have already forgotten where they are!
4) My sister popped round with some supplies. We spoke to her across the garden, but it still felt too close so we probably won't do that again. She went to look at the allotment (without us).
5) Bigger son and I had our weekly campfire on the allotment with sausages and marshmallows.
6) Smaller son hasn't left the house for 3 weeks but I managed to get him to go for a walk across the village at 11.30pm to post a card to my cousin and his new baby.
We needed some tongs to turn the sausages on our campfire. We had to make them from whatever we could find on the allotment. Guess which are mine and which are bigger son’s!

1. Messaging a friend who enjoyed her birthday despite being in lockdown.
2. The feeling of leaving work and fresh air and warmth of the sun. More rooms were having vinyl fitted. All rooms were out patients rooms so relatively quiet.
3. Some plants delivered from a local nursery which they grow themselves.
4. DS2 cooked tea. It tastes good and looked very pretty.
5. Hayfever is more or less under control.14 -
Oh I appeared to have been signed out but I’m back in now!Just watched a beautiful sunrise. Hopefully another pleasant day...we maybe got to 12o Happycas but that was nice enough!Tuesday ...the day the washing machine broke down. However a text to the chap and a call back and yes he’s still classed as an essential service and would come later. And he did and he fixed it and it was £47 I wasn’t expecting but at least it’s working again. And it wasn’t more than that and I didn’t need to get a new machine!Made pancakes for girls.Went to allotment with DD1. The walk there is so much better with company! We weeded the two beds that needed weeding. Planted and watered in the three chive plants I’d been given. We had a picnic lunch of banana and some tinned peaches and she had her flask of tea. Nice to feel a bit of warmth on our faces as the sun flitted in and out behind clouds. Met a lovely family who popped in ‘for a look’ as another allotment chap was coming in. The wee girl was a breath of fresh air. Such a chatterbox . She was good fun ‘and mum had a gin’ as she was telling us something! The mum laughed and said ‘actually I had two! ‘ Then quick chat with other chap as we were leaving. All at an appropriate distance.
walked up the big hills and stopped at supermarket for just a few things. Then home to wait for washing machine chap.
Then drove to mums. I’d had her meds delivered to me and they’d arrived bang on 8am by a very nice delivery chap who left them on my doorstep. So took them round, she’s not great and I will be requesting a GP visit this morning. But she managed a shower as I made some dinner for her which she managed to eat a bit of. Tidied kitchen as best I can ( just clutter everywhere) , hoovered, emptied bins.Home and hello doggy. Who’s currently at my feet as I write. He’s got another 6 days of wearing his cone of shame and another 6 days of meds that make him pee and pee and pee and because we are not walking him as normal ( sore paw) he’s ruining my lawn! ( such as it was!) anyway his paw is looking much better than it was.Made chicken fajitas for tea.Called friend and chatted for ages. Again! And then fell asleep. Where despite the usual crazy dreams I managed to sleep all night through!Today I need to go to mums mid morning and then take it from there as to how the day goes.Have a lovely day 😊13 -
For yesterday,
Scrambled eggs on seed bread for breakfast.
Defrosted a few cherries and popped them in a black currant jelly to eat later whilst watching GBBO, always fancy something sweet.
My gorgeous girlie whinnying as I walked up to her field, guess she is missing me as much as I am her on the days I don’t go. Gave her a good groom and general pamper. Chat with fellow livery owner from a distance and admired her ex racer looking sleek in the spring sunshine.
Sat outside in the garden for a while then off to the pharmacy for time bank pick up and then dropped scripts off in village.
Tea was tasty, pesto crust on salmon fillet with loads of veggies followed by said jelly.

Wow! - just listened to Frank the Zappa- on R3!
1. Yesterday - a mundane day of much done and other not done and all useful busy-ness all day. Lovely. Felt free. So, no walk, but no waste, viz:
Milk container re-use.
2. Remembering re-jigged rubbish dates online - hearing distant binmen as we speak. Next one 20/4 - diarised:-).
Compost transforms most & waste - glad :-).
3. Last night's big moon, special moon, full moon - taken with end of day outdoors pastis and more book - dark, fine writing: Cambridge Blue(excellent) - with birdy bedtime quietening song. Took a pic, currently elusive, but will hunt for it.
4. Great St Mary's online.
5. Labelled as Lockdown Lavender for now :-) Munstead, but on verra. The seeds were ridiculous, no idea how many/if any, went into each pot.
And, water swarming - midgery in waiting? Oh dear, 'format not allowed'.
Never mind.
