Good morning Folks,
Thank you all for your kind thoughts about Rosie Doggy. Mhags, she was devoted to DH, but reserved 5 minutes for uninterrupted Mummy cuddles every morning. I will miss that. ☹️Sue I ended up in hospital a couple of years ago, with a similar problem. Be kind to yourself, it will take 6 weeks or more for you to be back to your normal self. Make sure you rest when you have the chance.Recent 5OSP
1. Friends new baby has arrived.......Matilda. Born on her parents wedding anniversary. Photos look gorgeous. I can't wait to go and peek through the window at her!2. Road trip yesterday involved shopping for DMiL, and us. Delivering food parcel to DMiL, various birthday cards and new baby card put through letter boxes, and conversation with DSiL from the bottom of her path.
3. LO for lunch.
4. DH made chilli for tea while I did some home working.
5. Monopoly en famille. DS stropped off, DD gave up, DH won. 🤣
& Can we share NZ PM? She is wonderful ❤️
Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)

House elf sorry to hear about your dog.
Suffolksue take care of yourself so you are well enough to give the care you want to give.
1. Telephone consultations continuing at work. Had a lovely conversation with a patient.
2. Tried to get a simple job done at work without success. I couldn't get something signed off which in these current times it doesn't need to be signed off. My boss won't accept that I don't need to do it even when others tell her too.
3. Washing dried on the line.
4. Time spent in the garden.
5. Watched Tuesday's GBBO11 -
Sorry to hear about your dear friend DD
For yesterday,
Menopausal insomnia, the gift that keeps on giving! Pleasure was having a lie-in followed by bacon & mushrooms.
Cleared Mount Ironmore and made Soda Bread (thanks Mhags)
Lunch was HM veg soup with bread & cheese
Sat down to read and woke up an hour later!
Evening walk with small dog, no sunset tonight but grateful for the night’s drawing out.

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
HT making me a cuppa instead of the other way round which is more usual
HT's new headset being delivered (thank you Argos delivery person) so he can talk to his online friends without borrowing mine
Antihistamines - I have a cough but it's allergy related. I'm trying to cough quietly so nobody hears - it's only in the evening or at night but times being what they are.....I'd be very unhappy without antihistamines. I should also probably dust more often and not stroke the cat but what can you do?
Crafting - I did some knitting and some crochet. I have several projects on the go so I'm not bored. It probably accounts for the lack of housework though and therefore the allergy related cough
Chatting on the book of face with my schoolmates from primary school last night. We started a group just before all this covid stuff kicked off and we're so glad that we did.
SSue what a horrible thing to happen. I'm glad you have company for a bit and let him look after you too.
DD sorry to hear about your friend
Take care all of you

S Sue. That's just not fair!! But so glad that you've got a wonderful son and good friends.
Nargleblast. I'm quite envious of you watching Life on Mars/ Ashes to Ashes. Almost wish I hadn't already watched it! The last episode is one of the best last episodes of any series.
For yesterday
Fruit and veg delivery from market greengrocer ( would you believe, predictive text doesn't know that word! Must be too old fashioned!). Lovely fresh stuff, and delivered in a wooden box, which I am sure we can use in the garden somewhere
More dressmaking. Doing the neck facing which I remember ( from 30+ years ago, when I last made clothes ) is a bit tricky. Going slowly and carefully now I'm older, and maybe a little bit wiser.
Finding yoga classes on Amazon prime. Much easier than trying to see it on my phone. The pause button came into its own!
Weather still good enough for DH to be in the garden. Dreading rain!!
Happy whatever day you think you're on today, everyone12 -
Oh, I got one later!
Yes, BoP has a Humane Remains interview later this day, and yous knows the rules. They are in the ilk as Software persons, social workers and educationalists. No worries, BoP shall put her correct, politely! They should play musical chairs, but it wood take all four a long time to sort the chairs. Weird has this interview all remote and the like!
Todays picture. Meggies Town, the beach is empty this season. The little dipper, helta skeltor and big wheel on the north beach in Cleethorpes. Deserted! Bin a while since BoP has bin there and the grate Fish n Chips in Steels. Will be back soon!
Had cereals for brakefest this morning, then off to A1D! for the shop. We has enuff inn. We has wobbleades! Loads. The lounge bar is open, hic hic hic!
Just had hot dogs for luncheon, with toms and onions and a bit of cheese. Water has bin drinked. For dinner this evening is buzzard curry with plain proper rice, not that bashcarpi mess, which is actually mostly long grain but thrice the price.
Did not watch the flix last evening as we caughts up with an challenge of the uni and The Dog! BoPise I thiks is a bit tears as it is soon Beth will be no more! Shes was about the same age of BoPsie! Sore ted flix for this evening, more later.
Paid mortgage again, as we is able too so do! Word of advise from BoP. Don't take the holiday if you can do so, it is better to pay, because later when you has burned all the coals, it will be impossible to do so. Bin there, seen that, got the T-Shirt and got the medal.
Well it was 38 years since the recall for the Falklands, and then that day, no one knew where the Falklands where! CiA GRDSMN Marks, brother of my comrade in arms was laid.
Keep safe and well!
We will get over the line!

Bop - thought you'd already begun new work. Soon, I hope.
1. So much good, good R4x and R4 listening:
The Frederica Quartet
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007jsnw
Leo McKern's autobiography, read by him too.
The glorious jaunty music matching the terrific jollity, knowing observation and character names in Conan Doyle's "Rodney Stone".
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000gtkn
Anton Lesser's reading of Hilary Mantel:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000gvc7
I cannot stand her or her writing, but this has been brilliantly adapted.
2. Today's 3hrs of 1hr walk - badger sett no. 3. since lockdown walks began. Hard to show scale of Mr Brock's tunnelling and earthworks. Over 2 metres wide, 1 high here, under hedgerow. Peer left and right - more holes and big time JCB'g :-)3. Another NPD - could be &'s longest-lasting tank of fuel ever, including 6-8wk NZ trips!
4. Jacinda, still - every single update day
🇳🇿❤🌹❤🇳🇿
5. Will have a jar of &'s recent Blood Orange Marmalade in pocket tmrw, for Nice Lady+Dog, after paths x'd @2 metres 3 times now. Accepted with alacrity, having told & - not bleating or self-pitying - the other day of complicated mass family covid caring atm - like many - home, immunity-compromised daughter+3 grandchildren, ditto husband and brother, over 4 addresses and 140 miles daily. She needs that doggy walk...

Hello. Much better day today than yesterday. More oomph than I had yesterday.Made pancakes for the girls breakfast.
Made scones. Forgot they were in oven. Slightly overdone but tasted fine with jam in them. All the back fence , which was new last year has been painted. It was the easy bit. Literally down to the last brush worth of paint as I got to the end. It was so blooming cold this afternoon so I would do a bit , let it dry, go back out, do another bit...and so on until it was all finished.Made a rather lovely loaf of bread. Sat it in front of the roaring fire to prove.Had leftover bolognese sauce mixed with pasta and topped with mozzarella and baked for tea.
watched a couple of episodes of Bake Off with DD1. We stopped to go and clap.10 -
DD so sorry to hear of your friend, amazing to be able to still find 5.
1 I meal planned from the freezer for the next week, our bad cupboard is starting to be in danger of becoming good, as our snacks disappear. DH is starting to get antsy, I think because the fridge is very sparse, but trying to calm him. Pasta bake is todays main meal using up any left overs. I managed to get a Tesco slot in the wee hours of this morning for 3 weeks’ time
2 DH and I went for a walk to the local garage for milk, we walked our most socially unacceptably behaved ferret as we were safe in people not being able to touch him.
3 Various birds demanding the feeders re filled.
4 Plans a foot for tiny veg patch area.
5 Reading everyone’s pleasures.

Quick pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Bit of a lie in.
2) Some digging on the allotment and hens well.
3) Email from County that they will sign smaller son up for online courses - Maths and English retakes and also a computing science GCSE, if he would like that. That's what I asked for last September...
4) Cleaned the bathroom and did various other jobs.
5) Made fishcakes for tea, with PSB and carrots.
6) My patience tried for 12 hours by bigger son today - just the constant talking and bouncing about. This culminated in his being very silly when everyone was doing the carers' clap at 8pm then dancing around stupidly when I told him off and knocking smaller son's favourite massive water glass to the floor and smashing it. He then made a big show of strutting off through the kitchen but fell over, landing on his elbow on the cooker. After some dramatic writhing on the sofa, he made a second attempt at strutting off, catching his foot on a bowl and sending that flying across the house (don't ask me why his bowl was on the floor)! Smaller son (who would usually only notice if you had a limb off) made me a cup of tea!
