Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Glad the government is finally, FINALLY doing something. The first case in the UK was in January... had an email regarding gloves (all museums and archives have to keep an emergency box so we all have a few pairs). London Ambulance has nearly run out so they're collecting them from museums.
2) Bigger son is a bit better but seems unaware of the whole situation and was off to the pub this evening! Was shocked when I said it would be either shutting,or shut.
3) Up to date with housework.
4) Watched a lot of TV.
5) Day 12 of the BSD and I can say the beanburgers from the recipe book are nice. Had them with braised red cabbage (from the freezer) and green beans.

1 The usual upstairs cleaning, all hoovered, bedding changed, bathroom deep cleaned.
2 We sorted out an investment and checked banking.
3 Leftover stew was lunch, but we caved and got fish and chips, I don’t think we are meant to but phoned the order through, and literally just picked it up and came home so a calculated risk, either way it will be our last take away for a long time as we reign in pennies, and close the doors now.
4 Hmmm we just watched meet the Richardsons, and apparently I am him, DH is his other half, and it’s so true.
5 Caught up with DB and his family online.

Just popping on to say good morning. We did a very early morning doggy walk. The sunrise was stunning, the birds were being busy, the !!!!!! cat saw us before dog saw it and stayed out our way. The trees are in bud. Clusters of daffodils in hedgerows.Have a lovely day 💜12

1. Managed to attend my counselling session. It helped.
2. Managed to get the small amount of shopping I needed. Mainly fresh fruit and veg. Also had to buy some beer for DH and cider for sons.
3. Washing dried on line -3 loads of it.
4. Sorted out the freezer and have enough food for a few weeks with fresh stuff needed and may end up with some strange combinations.
5. Time in the garden.
6. Phoned my parents and they are ok.13 -
My pleasures for yesterday.
The camellia flowering for the first time in the garden. Actually the whole garden makes me smile after spending time on it this week. Will do more today.
Having my haircut, also shorter than usual!
Got to see DD and her husband from a distance.
Watching the Richardsons with DH, we can see comparisons too.
As always, cuddles with the dogs.Spend less now, work less later.13 -

For yesterday
Sun!! And today as well
Our magnificent magnolia in full bloom. So beautiful.
Spending time in the garden planting out 3 blackberry bushes. Pies in autumn! If the birds don't get there first.
T'internet and phones to keep in touch with friends far away - and those round the corner, isolated.
Support we are receiving from offspring. I knew they would come in handy one day!
Happy sunny Saturday everyone10 -
For yesterday,
Our postlady laughing about a nice smelling parcel that contained Equine girlie’s supplement, chamomile flowers and valerian, she suggested perhaps we should all have a dose.
Getting back into routine of having Capt S working from home, when he took yet to be washed laundry outside to hang I did say perhaps he should stay in office 😂
The buds are out on the apple tree and with a sunny weekend forecasted we should have blossom soon.
Made mincemeat flapjack and a seeded loaf.
The return of Nigel, Nelly and the lovely Monty, just what we all needed.12 -
Pleasures........
Returning from work yesterday to a meal cooked by my son, chicken, rice, tomatoes and curry powder. His own recipe. A bit bland for my taste but surprisingly well cooked and quite edible. He had also washed up the pans etc.
Starting off a batch of home made vanilla extract, anticipating it turning a rich dark brown over the next few weeks.
Mothers Day card and gift arrived today from son. Yes, I know he is staying here and working from home but he hasn't been out to buy anything so thank the gods for t'internet.
Big plans for the choir to have a singing session on their Facebook page from Monday, every day at 15:00. Press release going out so everyone in the land, member or not, can join in.
Lavender plants and compost bought today, to be planted tomorrow.
Special lunch today to celebrate Ostara- sushi then lasagne and salad then banoffee pie. All ready made, I just chucked the salad together.
Reconnecting with my home, my family, nature, good friends on social media, strange times we live in but we should grasp opportunities to make the most of our reality. One life - your life - live it!8 -
Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday....
I made oat biscuits. I'm currently thankful for a life long interest in cooking and baking
We helped our new neighbours move in. They had a van and were moving themselves so appreciated the help (at least they said they did)
Gave new neighbours a card and some home made biscuits. They said they needed to go and look for toilet rolls. Thanks to prepping for brexit I fixed that for them too
The HT's new game that we pre-ordered for his console was delivered. That kept him busy for the afternoon/evening. I left him to it because he was so good helping to carry stuff earlier
Long chat with best friend whilst online gaming. It does us both good to talk about what's happened during the week. We do message daily but a real person to talk to is much better
Take care all of you9
