Morning all - from my niece's bed in my sister in law's house (niece and nephew are away with OH, MiL and other sister in law. It is nearly the 10th anniversary of BiL's death so they are having a weekend away together...). Pleasures for yesterday
1. Lovely spring early morning walk to the train. Other walks were had throughout the day with Oscar the dog.
2. coffee in an excellent deli where we also bought lunch for later
3. SiL is helping to edit (my now completed!!) thesis. it needs A LOT of editing and she is much better than me at it - but she does do it for a living.
4. at the end of our final dog walk we went to the pub!
5. ordered in Vietnamese food - it was a bit 'meh' but meant that no-one was cooking in M's minging kitchen... (the quid pro quo for the editing is that I will help clean and declutter her house which, quite frankly, I can't wait to get my hands on...)
Have a nice day all..I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Ooh VJS, getting close now.....
For yesterday,
Tiny buds on the apple tree when I filled up the bird feeders and anticipating blossom time.
Reading a book by Karl Greenwood who runs the Centre for Horseback Combat in Herts, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do but nerves have always got the better of me, I want to change that.
Talking of which my one mighty charger alternated between dozing and munching on her hay as I removed a large pile of hair, hard work but good for the bingo wings!
Seeing a fellow livery owner, our schedules and paths rarely cross so it was good to catch up.
Late afternoon walk with Capt S and small dog, not raining and quite mild.
Chicken curry for tea with WG basmati rice.12 -
& being super dim - Frith, 'psb'? And Lainey, 'WG'?

1. It's a right now, listening to Oz v India Ladies' T20 final, a round ball sport & can deal with, rare thus. Alyssa Healey just out after a heap of 6s.
2. Where to start with ballon ovale at all levels yesterday? Took young person to rugby, on from 11th minute. His try-saving tackle soon after was twig-on-tank equivalent+ def. praiseworthy v. mostly, HUGE established team U.S. Forces players. Other skills will return. Weather turned horrible - icy freezing grey from warm sun - Mildenhall area, Lainey. Decent report will go in: keenness, attitude, squad mind, some social skills resurfaced, continue training. Onto atmosphere-overload at The Alma - CRAMMED, heaving, loud, but everyone made space, as they always do:-) Wonderful greetings included introductions of young person. More of so much good same with all, again excellent for yp, who felt/was included, especially in Welsh post-mortems afterward. & remained superior, in her NZ ref. Ben O'Keeffe persona:-) Will be different later - France v Écosse. This muddled osp is already too long, so please may & just ask for strength and endurance Good Vibes for yp, that "healthy mind+healthy body" bed in as norms, and no time behind bars. Club support is already superb, thoughtful without pressure.
3. Free cappuccino with dear grauniad post-match in Town of Horse emporium. & explained system+persuaded yp a week ago, so warming drinks pre-Alma appreciated.
4. No tutoring(children ill) meant rearranged appt with Vicar to witness everything for FBR Ireland + hopeful inclusion on that, prior to actual dual passport application. 2 jays courting on vicarage lawn.
5. Aware that ancient bossy self is a proven survivor, healthy, mobile - 2 legs + 4 wheels - not overweight, still with a wide-working brain, untouched by substance abuse. Not so easy for many youngsters these days.

Hmmm for some reason I was signed out but back in now! Still getting used to new fangled ways!Up early and out and about. Went to a fabulous ( reminded me of similar in Melbourne) cafe for breakfast, sea views.Met up with the niecelys for a very breezy (Baltic) walk along the beach!Popped into garden centre on way home and bought a couple of stakes/ hooky things for hanging bird feeders from. Thanks said the dog!Bit of a snoozette late afternoon. What’s for dinner asked the boy who’s been out cycling all day! No idea!It was rice, peppers, onions, peas, mushrooms, ham and a piece of chicken from freezer. A ham stock cube and a squirt of tomato paste and apparently was very nice.Been watching an Australian drama back and forth throughout the day. On the last episode now.12

My pleasures today
Achieving all of my to do list for the day
lovely walk with dogs
more sunshine than rain
the enjoyment I got from rubbing in the flour and butter to make crumble
delicious dinner and pudSpend less now, work less later.13 -
1) a beautiful service from St Mary's Cathedral Glasgow for international women's day. When they closed with a piece by Clara Schumann I cried - so much music by women over the years lost or ignored.
2) Then off to Murrayfield. The train started at Dundee so we got a seat OK. By Leuchars no seats and from then on increasingly sardines.
3) Treated dd2 and self to sausage supper at the ground - more expensive than outside but all part of the atmosphere (we got there early so all those seats were full 90 minutes later! Nessie looks like she's after dd2's chips)
4) what a game!!! We were Gate 33 North Stand, fantastic view but under cover when it rained
5) great banter on the train back and now home with my boys (mum came round to walk and feed them)
Goodness knows though when the championship'll be sorted out. Poor Italy!

Good evening all, pleasures for yesterday
A day at home - no need to go out anywhere at all
The HT tidied his bedroom, I stripped his bed, washed his bedding and put it all back lovely and clean smelling
Washed all my bedding so bed lovely and fresh to climb in to. I usually do it in the week but I left it this week due to copious amounts of menthol rub being applied to my person and because I knew if I did it, I'd have to do it again once I felt better.
All other laundry washed and dried.
Project four finished - one crochet blanket for the newest baby, my great niece. I have pompom wool to make another for her. That will be project five. Projects two and three are still works in progress.
13 -
Excellent crochet there.
Pleasures for today (sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Sold an old monitor for £20.
3) Spent a couple of hours in the garden, sweeping, weeding and tidying.
4) Hens OK and I had a small bonfire on the allotment.
5) Blood Sugar Diet begins tomorrow so had sausage casserole for tea and made a tray of parkin!
