Saturday pleasures,
The sparrow squadron enjoying a communal bath in a puddle.
Warming lunch of veggie soup and bread.
Went to see the beautiful grey one, gave her a good groom and swapped treats for kisses, left her snug as a bug with a full hay net.
Late afternoon nap, one minute I was reading, the next small dog was licking my face having already been out for a walk, must have slept for an hour or so.
Tasty tea of spicy chicken with winter slaw.
Watched and enjoyed first two episodes of Cobra.14 -
Finally a small enough whale toy turned up in the shop yesterday and I have made the Zebra child his coveted 'whale keyring' to go on his school bag.
All seems OK after the Dennis storm of yesterday but it was a wild and woolly night and the rain on the windows was very LOUD!
It's DD2s birthday today.
Still managed to take a reasonable shop total yesterday afternoon despite the awful weather.
A catch up day today and I'm able to give some time to the house, I'm doing extra sessions at the shop to cover a colleagues holiday and it's right through the month so half way there hoorah!

Good Morning Lovely People, and happy half term to me!Recent Pleasures.....
1. Half term.
2. Knowing I do not have to interact with our Deputy Head for a week.
3. Friday night Fajitas. Saving our Valentines meal until next week when it's cheap 🥰
4. Spending most of Saturday on the sofa, as me and DH have been ill with the cold, and need to just STOP 😩
5. Invited to friends house for dinner, so no cooking. Lovely meal and catch up on everyone's week.
6. 2 charity bags by the door and 21 things listed on EBay.
Don't like this new fangled forum 😡In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday...
Only myself to get to work as the HT's work experience has finished.
Work - busy but a warm, happy, chatty kind of day
Text from a neighbour whilst in work - "your bin blew over but I've picked everything up and moved the bin to where it won't blow over again". I take parcels in for her quite often as she works mornings and I work afternoons so I'll take that as my thank you
Home out of the storm to a warm dry house
Cheeseburger and oven chips for tea. Easy food after work....
Hot bath and pjs on then a couple of hours on project one which is nearly finished

Art'noon all
Cranky - we have a similar reciprocal arrangement with our neighbours. They tend to take our parcels and we mow their front lawn and cut their hedges (which are ours anyway... )
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Cracking on with the marking - hate it but it's good to see the done pile (virtual though it is) stack up
2. Finished watching all of Gavin and Stacey - didn't watch it before the Christmas one as i'm not keen on James Corden. But it's a fab little series, all about people which is right up my street. Also not stoopid, can't stand things that are stoopid
3. OH had been ill all day (following a colonoscopy on Friday) but got much better in the late afternoon.
4. We walked to our locial shop in the howling wind which was refreshing
5. loads of cherry blossom on a tree, unfortunately much was blown off by Dennis
I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -

1. All club rugby off 'cos of Dennis, + safety first. Heard 2 good matches yesterday and Saints v Bristol right now. Plenty of NZ interest :-))) AND Club interest. Charles Piatau is lovely and Rory Hutchinson (Scotland) is Shelford old boy, maintains close links. Toulon beat Brive nicely - Pilou! Pilou!
2. Don't tell me you haven't read The Rotherham Bugle yet?
Read every last bit of it - & command.
It's glorious, no matter where you start:

4. Vicar will witness &'s p/w for Irish passport. Has done similar for another family.

Frith, muddy waters indeed!
And my young compatriot has just finished sea kayaking around the North Island (posts passim), raising money for the family of his friend, Kent. Kent died shortly after Joel began. & has given a bit more. Started 30 March last year!
Anyone else fancy trying?
