    Yet another post lost.

    1) Hens OK.

    2) Took bigger son to upgrade his phone.

    3) Mammoth drive to and from Builth Wells completed and bigger son now back at work.

    4) Takeaway for tea after all that.

    5) Good fun watching Adam Hills in our local cinema last night on his FB page. (couldn't get a ticket). He had 2 audience members with him singing - one was my electrician and the other (his mum) used to be our brownie guide commissioner!

DforV thinking of you all today.

    1. Slept well for me.

    2. Spent most of the day in the garden. It was surprisingly warm for February. Lots of weeding done and moved some more bricks!

    3. Soup and bread for lunch. It was good.

    4. Watching some of the rugby - I enjoyed the premiership cup semi finsl. I listened to the England match in the garden.

    5. Evening relaxing in front of the tv. Watched Vera.

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday

Small lie in but every little counts

Parking outside work rather than a 10 minute walk away because it's Sunday and the parking restrictions are different on Sundays

Work - a more relaxed day, plenty of smiles and chat while we worked just as hard as the day before. Decent tips....and then home time. I like being there but I like coming home too

Beef joint for dinner. The HT's favourite is chicken and we've had a chicken dinner every Sunday for what feels like forever. Good to have a change now and then but we'll be back to chicken next weekend

Online games with best friend and HT. My two favourite people. HT is better at the game than us old folk that used to take their pet dinosaurs out for a walk by the volcano (HT's description of us) so it's good to have him join us and give us a little extra guidance

Thoughts are with our DFV x

    For yesterday,

Up early, we have one particular bird that is singing it’s heart out every morning at the moment, no idea which but it’s such a joyful sound.

Used an online deal and arranged a shopping delivery, stock cupboard should be well topped up.

Met up with hollow legged ones plus a lovely gf at a nearby pub for lunch, yes I could have cooked but to walk away from all that washing up at the end is definitely a pleasure!

Small dog was very happy with my lo roast meat that had come home in a napkin.

Last episode of Vera.....but Endeavour starts next week.

  • Old conservatory is a thing of the past.....new garden room is a work in progress and will be finished (the building part) tomorrow.

Found a lovely grey silk scarf with swallows on for DD2 (who loves swallows) in the shop this morning slightly damaged but she'll use it for cushion cover fronts.

Lemon cake from the bakery with afternoon cuppas.

The woodstove.....boiler gone wrong and plumber couldn't make it today but will come tomorrow..... the lounge is toasty, rest of the house is arctic!

Not working tomorrow so a slight lay in anticipated, I say slight as conservatory building blokies are arriving at 8.30, small lie in then!

Excuse me Pirate Pete ...’‘twas a very tasty red onion bagel with B L and T but tonight it’s chicken and potatoes (leftover from work) and parsnips that are in the oven. To be accompanied by carrots and peas. Please do not cast further aspersions on my toilet roll consumption...I’m planning ahead!

Today we’ve had all the weathers! Sun, heavy rain, wind, sun, hail, sleet, sun, hail, repeat every 10 minutes! Snow forecast for later tonight.

Woke to the dog vomiting right outside the bedroom door! Sigh!

Quick doggy walks today in between the showers.

Had to collect mum to go into town for an appointment. Went for a cuppa afterword.

Came home to her street being dug up so had to try and park somewhere! Then had to squeeze past roadworks and work van. Shall walk round tomorrow...takes the same time to get there.

Home to my log delivery. I’ve put about half of it away but aforementioned showers were annoying so I’m hoping son and I can do some more tonight. If not it’s to be dry tomorrow.

Lit a fire all on my own! Woohoo! I’m still a bit rubbish but better than I was!

Got a surprise from DD1 in post...the Christmas edition of my Australian magazine...she’d come across it the other day ( a bonus edition) with another special dollar coin and a wee something for her sister.

And club card points...might buy more toilet paper PP not quite decided ;)

Right I’m off to Hoover up some dog hair! Have a nice night x

Pleasures - brilliant sunshine when dog walking, I didn't mind the cold wind.

Good session at Rock Choir this morning.

Simple lunch of scrambled eggs and buttered roll with a mug of freshly-brewed coffee.

Working my way through Yankee Candle votives, I bought 18 of them the other week in order to test out some fragrances before splashing out on a full sized candle. So far I like Lavender, Vanilla, Vanilla Cupcake, Kilimanjaro Stars and Tobacco Flower.

A productive afternoon rearranging furniture. Just fancied a change.

Hearing that I have a place in the Rock Choir group that will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe later this year.

Chicken goujons and salad for dinner -feeling virtuous.
Homemade bread and butter pud for afters - not so virtuous.

Now curled up in my PJs, fire on, herbal tea nearby. Also a glass of Baileys for later.
One life - your life - live it!
