For yesterday,
The dingly dell carpeted with snowdrops in nearby village - & freckenham, am sure you know of it.
Visited my girlie, happy to see her Mum especially with pockets loaded with treats, didn’t dare do anything with shoulder so sore but cuddled and scratched where indicated.
Remembered and located a heatable wheat bag, the smell of lavender added extra.
Capt S said he would cook tea and we had.......cheesy beans on toast, perfect.
Kind friend reminded me about Tiger Balm, applied before bed and really helped me to sleep.4 -
Yes, Lainey, go through Freckenham en route to other arm of cs:-)CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
Called into work to collect a book that I was given but forgot to take home. Came out of work and bumped into someone that I used to work with 12 years ago so gossip exchanged and lives updated.
I baked......brownies for the HT, also cheese scones and cherry scones.
Fresh cheese scone and tomato soup for lunch. Yum!
Pottered off to call on best friend. Took some of both kinds of scones and watched Dr Who for a bit.
Hot bath and pjs on then an hour spent on project one while listening to youtube.4 -
Like reading nanas electric meter, was it a 9 or a 0?
I has noted the C around the parish again. Yes, BoP has no finger nails! But then BoPsie is free, well still free, but are you ever free? Jenny sends her buzz to those that need it :heartpuls
There, that is that sore ted!
Now on with your version of the Life according to BoP!
Kettle still works inn the cool room. We had our boiler taken as I thinks it was too much for the gaffer. On about work, today BoP has a special tease inn his lunch box. A Cadbury roll. Jam one! And there bee plenty left for the rest of the weak as well! Proper food and not cardbored!
Watched another flix of the amazon last nite. Knight and Day. Think Tom has lost it since Goose took it! Wobbleade was consumed! And proper cheese as well! Sardines on toast were consumed earlier! More good for you food!
And at brakefest this morning, I had the crackle pop and snaps with full fat milk. And I remember mes lunch box so don’t has to have the not poodles or other carp!
Not much else on this day, so enjoy your lunch bites!
The smile on the outside ignores the hurts inside4 -
Workety work day number one. Done! One more to do.
Busy morning. Steady lunch and never ending dishes in afternoon!
Decent tips!
I like who I work with. Makes a difference.
Chat with a friend this morning.
It was light when I started and light when I finished. Such a pleasant difference.
Went for chips! DD2 had already eaten and son climbing up north and said he’d get something on way home.
Hello said the dog. I am so happy to see you. Me too!
Hot shower and jammies on!4 -

Pleasures for yesterday
1. You've guessed it - the washing! :rotfl:
2. Not going shopping, making everything 'do' for another day
3. went to the pictures (again!!) with friend to see the live stream of kinky boots
4. having the house to myself for a few hours
5. Good homecooked (veggie! Mhags..) food - soup for lunch and a curry for tea
and today.
1. more s0dding washing - but I have finally caught up.
2. lunch with friend, haven't done that for a bit
3. did the shopping, but was restrained. Hardly anyone in Aldi, it was clearly the time to go.
4. OH cooked chicken curry - man it was hot.
5. About to have a TV evening... last week's David Tennant thing and then WHite house farm.
Have a good evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens4 -
Midears! Achieving & rightly delighting in various pleasures so much, you awe & inspire me!
VJsmum - studying beers in Bruges & Belgium, sounds an excellent change of field! Washing happens - let’s enjoy what we can? I’ve missed a David Tennant thing? (Dash.)
PaulieHerts - glad cold in retreat! Awed at what you can achieve with a microwave & induction hob!
Frith - maddening when the invisible magic pixies abscond with your work. Adam Hills live & local - cor! Museum *needs* your thorough wisdom, that’s why they hired you! Hurrah good sleep!
villagelife - the rugby is cracking good stuff! Yikes dropping phone - rarely good news but fixed, phew. Paperwork is a two edged pleasure!
Cranky have you taught HT to cook a roast meal? Then widen his scope so he can roast beef too?! Running is good stuff, (says she still at the mostly walking stage.) Catching up 12 years - wow!
LaineyT - food you haven’t cooked & don’t need to wash up after is a special pleasure for All including dog! Be very gentle with neck? Hoping Tiger Balm helping.
SuffolkSue - you’re in my thoughts too & I hope all is relatively easygoing & you get some sleep.
BoP - that country pie sounds wonderful! Sardines on toast? Yum! Breakfast cereal? Why?
DundeeDoll - I’m tracking how the Sunday School room goes & whether a blessing works! Fingers crossed for Vienna & first aid ticket!
MrsLW - hurrah for emerging garden room & a small lie-in - hoping all goes well for you, swiftly. Colleagues hoarding baby clothes for you!
mhagster - oh Haggis! But log delivery good & son stowing it better. Raffles doing great things with the Yellow Stuff between traditional winter weather! Doesn’t daylight *help*?!
Nargleblast - scrambled egg is one of my favourite dishes. Ignoring things is a tragic Male vice.
Purple kitten - delighted to hear fuzzies largely thriving - a tribute to your care.
Bala - your mum sounds amazing and your crafty niece differently but likewise remarkable! Lottery an unreliable ally, try comping?
Jazee - being cooked for us a real pleasure! Sleep & snowdrops a winning blend.
ampersand - wholly reasonable to have heating on! Love rugby vestments, covet ISIHAC & cleat audit trail to Irish passport.
OS pleasures recently
“Mars bars & Wales, they’re all you need to measure size!” A domestic variant on imperial measurements, (& made trickier by the many & varied sizes of Mars bars).
After a bad night, pleasure in figuring how to switch off alarm & get teenager woken without disturbing Himself. Pizza & tea youngest’s preferred start to the day, seemingly.
My lovely tall, funny, independent son is home. In a cardboard tube, in a bag that might as easily hold a magnum of plonk. [At Team Meeting, ash container details were exchanged to mutual comfort & amusement.]
Skipton bakery introduced us to “rapscallions”! Fruited spiced bread/scone, huge & tasty!
Knowing I had little to say at the Team Meeting, I took the minutes. Pleasure in sparing others the chore, & wording the seriously vehement stuff as dryly as I could, whilst letting idiocy shine.
I lost my little ring & after a night of tears & self reproaches, awoke to find it in my trouser turnup. Still whole & perfect, all five stones, set in the strongest shape in engineering, the circle. I’ve projected a lot onto the ring so to have it back feels like grace & mercy shown. [Still doesn’t fit, but the weight’s coming off - it will.]
Waved to tailor’s machinist - a lady who gets in even earlier than I do! Lovely smile of recognition, I feel warmed!
Colleague murmured he was so sorry to hear my news in such a gentle way it floated over the raw edges & I was able to be relaxed polite not rigid polite. He’s not on the team (who were all more ticklish though as well meaning) & I’m happy to find I can respond without going stiff.
Husband found my engagement ring put somewhere safe, so much so I haven’t seen it in years! Still fits. Floating happy here!
Venus shining down.
Life carries on, joyful & painful & here I am reminded that the good stuff is there for the seeing. Then making notes of, quickly, before the next thing crashes. Health, strength, love, courage, and appropriate layers to all as have need.3 -
D for V, blessings, grace, mercy and love and also a little hug from the universe because you're worth it!
Good shift at the shop, HWK managed to come and pat test for a couple of hours too so I KNOW he's feeling better.
Conservatory makeover construction phase over, tomorrow brings the plasterer so it should be quiet which will make a nice change. Fantastic team of blokes worked their collective socks off but were boisterous, like sibling puppies and the radio played constantly in the background. They have done a sterling job!
Have made soup for tomorrows lunch tonight just in case it's too cold to be in the kitchen tomorrow if the plasterer wants to work with the door open.
DD1 and Frieda coming for the day tomorrow, the best!
Chat with DD2 and the Oreo child on the phone yesterday, mummy said after a couple of minutes 'Oreo what are you doing to my phone', small voice said 'givin' Oma a Kiss!' bless him, it sounded like a suction pump!4
