  • So as there’s be no further transgressions with wasting salmon at brekfest, here is the recipe that BoP used today!

Two Alaskan Salomon fillets, tossed in hot pan and grill fried.
Chopped cherry toms, tossed with garlic and chilli flakes into hot oven on buttered dish. 200C.

    They take the same time!
    Garden peas as required.

Toss the sun kissed cherry roulette toms into serving dish. Top with salmon fillets and side with the peas. Toss parsley on top.

    Proper weigh to eat salmon!

Other recipes are available should further transgressions occur inn the parish!

Hello. Hot shower and jammies on...no bath here to share with a midwife but I did feel a tad melancholy for one when I read that VJ & DD...not often I miss the bath!

What a beautiful day with a stunning sunrise and sunset at either side and stretching out with daylight at both ends.

My Australian friend called me this morning to finish off our conversation from Friday! They are coming to visit in a few months.

Then went to mothers. There is so much clutter and so much stuff and I’m trying to move stuff as we have medical equipment coming on Tuesday and she’s not really au fait with me moving and I’m trying to justify why it needs moved. Anyway...washed her dishes, folder her washing ( I ain’t ironing unless it absolutely needs it!) hoovered downstairs. Did some pruning in the garden. Thought if I try and do a wee bit each time I go it makes a dent on what’s a bit of a jungle. And I do like pruning, find it therapeutic. Washed the floors. Cleaned the front door and washed the skirting in hallway.

Had to pop into work to speak to other cook as she wanted a swap of days for week after next. So clarified that and had a quick chat then sat with one of our lovely customers who’s 83 years young and always quite glamorous and had a lovely chat with her. Hadn’t seen her since just before Christmas.

Home. Hello doggy. Hoovered downstairs again.

Think I had a snoozette. Then phoned my sister.

Then watched the most lovely sky . It was glorious!

    Pleasures for today (Sunday).

    1) Went to small niece's 5th birthday party, along with 30 small children. I was in charge of tea and coffee for parents, and washing up.

    2) Hens OK and I cleaned out their sleeping quarters, which pleased them.

    3) Tidied the garden a tidy amount and brought logs in.

    4) Nice wraps for tea. Jamie O's veg chilli on them (from the freezer) plus blue cheese and avocado that was spare.

    5) Sorted out bigger son's phone contract and new savings account. He has gone back to work now.

    6) Watched Ski Sunday in front of the fire. I have no intention of going skiing but it was something we always watched on a Sunday growing up.
  • Frith I love ski sunday too. Didn't realise it was on today so will try and catch it next week.

Sold 3 items on eBay today - and they have all paid - whoop whoop!
DH cleared up after tea (which was left overs so minimum cooking).
New brakes on bike - a lot safer now!
Listed all my other items on fleabay and put them out of sight in spare wardrobe.
Cuddles with a warm snuggly kitty.
Checked my premium bonds account - I've been paying in £25 a month so now have £225 in premium bonds.

High 5s with Son Of The Alma:-). Splendid growing boy, 15mths now. That Gloucester match face à Toulouse was something else! I'm reading the early sud-ouest papers: home supporters not enamoured by their failure to finish multiple multiphase plays. Gloucs did not give up.

    3. Rugby Club teatowels all out online. They'll crisp up overnight:-). Yesterday's narrow loss was tough, but we played so much better than we have been. New Coach is having a real effect. Also learnt he's not strylian, although back from 20 years there. He's a Greshams old boy, as was &'s R!

    Morning all

Up early for station runs this morning - DS is going to try commuting to uni as he is not coping well living in the shared house. His mental health is all over the place so we are trying to just get him through these last few months and get his degree... Personally, I think the commuting isn't going to be something he likes either so I reckon there'll be mixing and matching between here and there... but it's fine, there's 4 more months to go..

    So, pleasures for yesterday

    1. beautiful day and hung the washing out. Didn't especially dry but I still like it to have an airing and it does dry quicker once back inside than if it hadn't gone out at all
    2. OH and I went for a walk into and around town...
    3. He put my metal bird red kite up on the tree
https://www.metalbird.co.uk/collections/the-birds/products/red-kite?variant=17510661455930 it catches the light beautifully
    4. roast beef for dinner.. first (and only) meat of the week
    5. played scrabble - I was winning and then DD got rid of her 'q' :rotfl: who knew "qi" was a word?

    Have a nice day all

(oh and BoP - i'm not keen on tomatoes..... :p)
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Sunday pleasures,

Woke up to a hard frost, cold but oh so pretty.

Forgot to fill up bird feeders so out in garden in my pj’s, wellies and overcoat.

After breakfast and the AO we set about pruning the apple tree, we had a poor harvest last year and it needed a tidy up, although cold it was warm enough working in the sunshine.

Some numpty ( me :D ) had forgotten to take anything out of the freezer for Sunday lunch so we walked down to the pub in the village, thoroughly enjoyed the meal and we met the sweetest daschund sitting with his humans at the next table.

Lazed around for the rest of the day, watched Vera in the evening.

    Weekend pleasures

Nice lunch out with friends at family Italian restaurant. Good catch up with lots of laughs.

As others saw, beautiful pink sky-stunning.

A sunny day so windows cleaned, car washed and front garden tidied a little. Bulbs are very advanced for January. We have only had a couple of frosty days here.

Christmas cake and tea to warm up.

Last weeks Vera on catch up. Loving Wisting too Lainey.
