    1. Dreadful Spits, thanks to low takings, 1 bad theft (bespoke signed 1950s gold cocktail watch), 4 breakages due to sudden wind gusts. Big £80-100 studio pot suddenly toppled, domino effect on 3 other things. Ah well, & can tell the tale here:-)
    2. Fence panels down by garden room, again, another Oh dear, oh no! 3rd time this week. Awaiting the young, strong, and competent son of friend - much in demand for same reason. Hopefully tmrw, cash in hand.

    3. Deffo. in Living from Freezer mode. Both are ludicrously full for &×1.

    4. Hooray, Town of Horse connectivity means overdue debadgering appointment just made, at last. Tuesday week, can't wait! Hasn't been done since Spain.

    5. Ops news - excellent from mrs LW, ditto re:P in Spain, and hoping for Spits' M's reconstruction today. We are fortunate these skills are available.

    6. 3 more certified bits ordered from BDM NZ, re: Martha Matilda. Irish citizenship and passport tippytoes closer.

Hello. Just taken dinner out the oven and it smells rather nice. Have made a veggie lasagne and roasted what seem to be the last of the leftover potatoes, not anywhere near the last of the parsnips and carrots.

Been a busy day and I’m looking forward to the fire going on and an evening spent relaxing.

DD2 texted at 6.30am to let me know she’d arrived at her hotel ( as in just in from a night out in city and that check out was in 3 hours!
) Thanks for letting me know.

First morning where I didn’t have to get up straightaway and start the day. So kind of sat/read / finally saw the end of Holby ...only taken me a bus and a train and a long lie to see it!

Then up and at ‘em. Had to do a load of washing for the mother. DD2 called me to ask if I could meet her off bus and run her friend home. Then my friend from Australia called for a chat but not as long as usual as DD2 called to say she was nearly at bus stop . So we are going to catch up on Sunday to finish our conversation. Had a chat all things motherly/ politics/ environmentally .

Picked up the girls . Rough!

    Then quick supermarket pop in.

Then quick home. Grabbed washing, grabbed milk but didn’t grab the bread.

Round to the mothers. And...hoovered, ordered online shopping, a new washing machine. Cancelled a very unnecessary direct debit. Phoned the local hospital, phoned her GP, phoned the medical supply company ( who will come Tuesday any time between 9-5...which in this day and age is just ridiculous so I’ve asked them to call me when they’re on their way ), phoned the vets. Emptied bins and deadheaded hydrangea. Popped into her neighbour to update her. Took a whiteboard round that I’d used when building work went on so filled that out with all the new stuff that’s going on. ( but at least it’s out of my house as it was just sitting about ( had used it at work for a while then it wasn’t needed)

Sigh...was glad to come home and say hello doggy. Hello back he said.

Went out to shed and brought in enough logs for tonight whilst it was both dry and daylight.

    Made dinner.

Watched a nice sky as sun set. And was glad the day is stretching out just a little.

I’ve finally got completion on my extension. Can’t remember if I’d said the other day. Hu-blooming-rah. Fourteen months after it was supposedly finished. And yet more excuses as to why he’s not done a permanent repair to my big window ‘temporary’ one done a month ago.

Bulbs peeking through and primroses flowering in the garden .

The bird I saw the other day was a redwing, I’ve never seen one before.

There , that’s plenty nice things!

Sue& DFV i hope there were nice things in your day too.
  • Ampersand, what a day.

1 Hmm the house is cleaner as I hoovered and mopped, but it really was a quick whip around.
2 Numerous wash loads, I have had to cave to a use of the dryer as I’ve run out of space for hanging.
3 Tea is a cheat I picked up one of those bags full of Chinese food reduced down to 80p last night so it will be re heated sweet and sour, curry, egg rice and curry potato, it was okissh for a cheap easy meal but certainly not a good Chinese, but then it was 40p each.
4 A pleasure that I have some strong painkillers to try and get this rather bad headache in its tracks and it’s worked.
5 Back to my latch hooking.
  • Hello everyone

Back to exercise class today and I quite enjoyed it
Hair cut and tinted and looking much improved on the previous shaggy grey mop
Good catch up with my hairdresser who after nearly 30 years is more a friend
Home to rather a lazy afternoon as feeling tired with all the pre kitchen work removals
More of the mince made the other day for dinner, this time as spag Bol

    Sweet dreams everyone

    Good evening all, today's pleasures

I went running for the first time since August (or what passes for running in my life - some people walk faster). I have to run on a treadmill as hypermobile joints don't cope well with uneven surfaces but once I'm there I remember how much I love it. I will be going again on Monday.

I'm a stone lighter than when I started running and my running clothes were noticeably bigger on me than they used to be.

Work at mid day. Plenty of staff and plenty of customers so all in a good mood and it was an enjoyable shift.

Home to an easy tea which was last night's leftovers microwaved.

Playing games online and chatting to best friend for a couple of hours while doing so. We started out as online friends and are now very much real life friends.

Not a pleasure - one of the HT's most supportive teachers was widowed at the weekend. Thinking of her, DfV and S-Sue and once again wishing that I had a magic wand so I could fix things.

I am doing this because today it is hard to collect five so I need to think strong

1 - I am home alone and silence surrounds me
2 - Still not having and wanting TV in our living room
3 - Listening to Bela Bartok piano concerto on Spotify
4- Being called by my younger bro, he rarely does it, usually I am calling
5 - Eating a surprisingly nice Pho soup in a restaurant with a nasty rating

    Hmmm...actually I had a good day :)

    Pleasures for today (Friday)

    1) A lie in!

    2) Cleaned downstairs in preparation for...

    3) the psychologist! Smaller son has to be tested over several hours to prove that his existing diagnoses still fit so (one day...) he will actually receive some sort of education. He hasn't had anything at all since September.

It has been so long since I have dealt with a sensible and hard working professional that I had forgotten what it was like! Selective mutism? I've brought 2 ipods. Won't come downstairs? I'll sit on the rug in his room. She managed to get him to engage for 1.5 hours, which must be a record.

    4) Hens OK.

    5) Went to town for the barbers but there were too many people in. Had a walk through the gardens then along the riverbank and saw the solitary, famous black swan! Took some photos.

    6) Chips from the van for tea.

    7) My brother came round for board games.

    8) Watched the Last Leg.

Morning all. Some pleasures for the last two days.

Waking up each morning knowing that project one is finished and I don't have to stress about it anymore.
Being listened to at a council meeting.
Progress with a local issue, at last people may realise I am doing something.
Being asked to run a course again when I didn't think it went well for these people the first time. Was obviously wrong.
Having an hour yesterday just chatting with my DD.
Successfully changing the furniture round in the bedroom. Not an easy task with a king size bed.
Listening to the sepsis discussion on radio 2 and reminded again how lucky I am to still have DH.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Pleased she was helpful Frith

    Friday pleasures,

Changed the bed and added another blanket, we have cold nights forecasted.

Grazed the beautiful grey one in hand, saw two roe deer over the other side of the large ditch, they happily accepted our presence.

Back in her field and I was having a look around when all of a sudden she took off, kicking up her heels and squealing, lovely to see.

A good day at the cricket.

Cycled down to the village for a few bits, managed to avoid the worst of the rain but cold by the time I got home.

Coconut and chilli prawns for tea.
