    Hello, Procrastinator!

    Pleasures for today (Friday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens OK and took their new sack of layers pellets down.

    3) Went to floody city (again!) as bigger son met someone from the Nepal trip for lunch.

    4) I sat in Waitrose caf! for 1.5 hours, drinking tea and learning Welsh on Duolingo. Dw i'n hoffi te.

    5) Used my garden centre voucher on a new pot and some compost. Came home and planted my tulip bulbs, a Christmas present from my sister.

    6) Chips for tea.

    7) Watched Gogglebox.

Worked which I don't normally do on a Friday so was very confused what day of the week it was!

    1. Still feeling positive after a day at work

    2. Kept busy and spoke with a couple of people. Someone left work today which is a positive.

    3. Cooked a tea which everyone ate. It was easy and tasty.

    4. Chat with DS2 girlfriend. 1st time I had seen her this year.

    5. Enjoying my book.

    Good morning Peeps,

    1. Lovely weather yesterday.

    2. Collected Ebay purchase. Very pleased!

    3. Lidl offers :j

    4. Organised a birthday meal for DS1 GF. Not as big as Christmas dinner, but not far off! Chicken from the freezer and roast veg from sm offers, so did not have to spend much. Friend made pudding. Lovely evening.

    5. New mattress. :)

    Have a lovely day :)

    Hugs to all ❤️

    Hard to find pleasures today
9 yrs today since my beautiful ,brave daughter died of a very aggressive breast cancer.
I feel for you DfV ,not the same as hers was expected ,but still the shock .
It doesn’t get easier but it does get different.
1 the pleasure must be that she lived and we have memories.
Sorry will try for more later

Such anniversaries are tough aren’t they Sue , let those happy memories flow.

    Friday pleasures,

It rained, boy did it rain! not actually a pleasure but having a decent waterproof jacket and boots is as spent a couple of hours over the yard.

Slipping my cold hand under equine girlie’s rug and warming it on her toasty shoulder.

By the time I got home was really cold so a mug of bovril was very welcome, as was the fact that Capt S had changed the bedding.

Getting inspiration from new cookbook and writing next week’s meal plan, aim is to try a different recipe every week.

The final of Christmas Uni Challenge, my favourites won.

    mhags that sounds lish.
hugs to dfv and all others in need
    For yesterday
    1) gas man came, he couldn't fix the Worcester but did fix the gas fire.
    2) booked Worcester chap - amazingly he can come today
    3) hair cut - because i had to delay my 9am cut due to gas man i was fitted in at 2. Except he was running late. So had lovely relax reading 'this is going to hurt' and three lattes and fudge :P
    4) called into work (which is shut till monday but i have a pass) and printed out stuff for singapore
    5) went to friend's 33rd birthday party. The invite had the road but not the number so, having got taxi to end of road knocked on 2 doors before i found the right house - i have been twice before but they've built more houses and it looks different in the dark! silly thing is they live at #5 as do i!
now awaiting Worcester man, hoping he can fix it. if not it'll be a new boiler eek.

absolutely the first & foremost comfort.

We’re beginning to laugh again. Little chuckles. I don’t know if that’s wrong but it helps.

We had to tell my parents yesterday. Son & I toyed with idea of "Ran away to sea as a toy boy for squillionairess under a non disclosure agreement, and the funeral (whoops did I say that)" ... No. The truth. The hard path but the only one that’ll help.

Watching sunrise over hills by Macclesfield - beautiful, pure, clean (seen from train) reminding me there is lots of beauty & calm if we look for it.

Laden with home made baked goods as we return from parents, who were utterly touched we'd come down to tell them face to face. How on earth else, when we're not at war?! But so much love, and hugs, and (since aunt present), two generations of fraternal challenges shared. A sibling is for life. He’d even written his thank you letters.

My sons are being absolute troopers. Eating alphabet spaghetti & contemplating the challenge that would give someone with OCD, Part comedy, part genuine concern. Amongst the many blessings I am surrounded with, the boys are just so important. Us parents keep falling into handkerchiefs, to find young arms clamped around us, glasses secured, more handkerchiefs brought, tea poured.

DFV, I’m so very sorry. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. It’s lovely that you seem to be finding such strength in each other.

not wrong at all, but neither are tears. both will come a plenty

and of course that gave me a chuckle.

the sun comes up the sun goes down the moon waxes the moon wanes. if we anthropomorphise them (and I do frequently) they look down on us as they continue impacting our days. I like those moments of beauty and calm more and more

And as for alphebetti spaghetti OCD, well that's why you won't find it in my house - by the time i've rearranged them the food has got cold!
