No response from me makes any sense, or gives comfort, or undoes anything.

Hello. I think we are all reeling from our own DFV news. I’m sure all the messages will be of comfort to her and her family.

I know when I was going through difficult times I still needed to read our 5 OSP so I knew that there still was something ‘normal’ when all around felt so wrong.

    So mine for today :

Quick nip down to the allotment. It was very windy and fresh! Dug over another bed and pulled weeds out of the other , it just needs dug over.
Haggis dog zooming around in his happy place.

Home just as the rain started. It was lashing so I was glad I got home in time.

Left over pumpkin salad for lunch

Made some cookies using up DD2 advent chocolate that she hadn’t liked.

My friend came round for a few hours. Sat in front of the roaring fire ( not my doing) and chatted . Good to catch up.

Son dropped girls off on a night out then we had tea. He had nachos and I made a creamy veggie pasta. DD2 failed at the veggie bit by eating a KFC!

Finished watching YOU series 2 on Netflix ! Waaaah!

We should all hold our loved ones close if we can and tell them they are loved...just so they know. DFV holding you all close in my thoughts xxx

DfV I too read your posts with interest and send you love and sympathy, as I am a year down the same path I know that words are so useless and the pain is too much to bear, More than anything look after yourself and take all the help thats offered. Your family will be your strength. xxx

    Thinking of you today, DfV.

Here are my pleasures for today (Thursday)

    1) A lie in.

    2) Hens OK and they shared the porridge we had had for breakfast.

    3) Few jobs done.

    4) Got new hens layers pellets, petrol etc.

    5) Went into floody city and didn't particularly want anything from the charity shops. However... saw the same Mistral top I had bid for several times on Ebay (it always got too expensive) - for £5! Then bought a pair of jeans as mine are in tatters. Then chanced upon a FatFace smart white shirt with what look like red Tudor roses on it. (Better than it sounds).

    6) 33p Sainsburys sausages for tea, with chips and beans. Then we made butterfly cakes.

    7) Trying to follow my 20x20 New Year's resolutions (a different thread) so started reading my first book of the year and did my first Duolingo Welsh lesson. The Welsh lesson was fine because I already knew all the hello, goodbye stuff and have seemingly picked up all the words for foods while I've been shopping!
