Your horse (Lulu ?) Puts me in mind of a character in 'Black Beauty '
Will have to read it again as memory is hazy......
Merrylegs, the small grey pony? She’s certainly got the character.0 -
PM2DD Ouch!
Fixed the front door lite. Few sparks when I did so! Oops! Now fixed. Put up dummy camera, put new lights inn the yard.
Fixed the broken bog seat! The Thomas Crappers are fixed. Had to get me mollies and nut knurdlers on the on suite. The persuasion worked and off came the old broken seat. Curse words were spoken!
Defrosted the refrigerator, and BoPsie got her mop out! All clean.
Raffles is recovering from his veterinary visit. Think the anti biotic upset him a tad. But his fur is like his dads. Nice and groomed.
Put blind bid inn for a meal out. Won! Wobbleade for BoP. More later.
Now that is all for today!

Hello. Bedtime for a baby! Finally fallen asleep. A GN still to fall asleep but she’s been allowed a wee bit longer.
Busy day.
The saga of the blooming extension continues. The landscaper chap had to come back and redo the stones around the perimeter of extension. For drainage purposes although my architect said the chap from council was just being extra pernickety. His pernicketyness cost me an extra £250. Pah!
Anyway he was here bright and early so I had to be up and at ‘em extra early too.
Went to Lidl first thing . Was £25.01 so got my £5 off . Got a lot of Rtc for 20p and I still need to pop stuff in freezer.
Then had to go and get a refund on a bed we’d ordered for DD2. Six weeks ago! So many problems so full refund given. Then had to order a new bed! Sigh!
Home . Quick doggy walk and then walked round to my mums. Was very bright and very cold. Got to 4o today. Hoovered ( again) and did her dishes.
Back home and pottered around sorting stuff out. A few seasonal decorations brought out. A few pieces of furniture moved. Rugs and curtains and a Christmas tree and decorations for niece.
Niecelys arrived. Quick dog walk and then a quick walk to see if any had their decorations up yet ( two) . The baby and the eight year old are staying overnight as they move tomorrow. Gives them a chance to get stuck in.0 -

Pleasures for today (Saturday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son ill, but he got better as the day went on.
3) Fed the hens and cleaned out their sleeping quarters and put plenty of chopped hay in.
4) Did lots of finishing of crochet wreaths this afternoon. My sister wanted some as a garland so I sewed a few onto a length of Christmas ribbon. Put "berries" on (red glass beads).
5) Watched the telly including I'm a Celebrity just now.
6) Packed ready for Manchester tomorrow (spare pants, socks and T shirt!)
7) Opened the first time buyers ISAs for sons (thanks, Martin MSE). Obviously there is no money in either of them, but it's a start.
8) Going to bed now with 1 hwb, to watch Casualty.0 -
Saturday pleasures,
Bit of a lie-in, what is it about clean sheets that makes you sleep better.
Eldest hollow-legged one came for breakfast, then him and his Dad caught the train to London for a footie match.
Beautiful but cold day, spent time with princess pony and then took small dog for a long walk, she was tempted by a number of partridges in the field but stayed back when I told her.
Feeling the bark of my favourite beech tree and it was warm from the sun.
The fellas brought a takeaway home with them, naughty but nice not to have to cook, might have partaken of some wine as well.0 -
Sunshine outside after a grey and gloomy start to the day.
Finally deciding what to cook for Christmas day and knowing how many of the family I shall be cooking for.
Going for coffee in a few minutes to meet DD1 and family at a local garden centre.
Finding that a rescued top from the CS not only fits but looks nice too.
Rediscovering the joys and low priced of Aldi yesterday, I just cannot believe what I managed to buy for the prices they charge, fantastic stuff and I shall use them regularly in the future.0 -
Pleasures for yesterday
Went to buy some tea and ended up in loads of shops, mostly charity.....
Bought beautiful duvet cover for the old duvets that Tiggy is using. Much easier to whip off clean and dry. There was a small stain on it and no price. The manager said that I should make donation so I did. Bargain !
All the charity shops were playing Christmas songs and I found myself either singing along or 'bopping' gently. Made me feel really happy. I came home with a smile on my face.
Everyone seemed in major jolly mood. Lots of 'new to me' people stopped and chatted. It was so lovely.
Slept through the whole night and didn't wake until after 6 am. Feel rested and without pain. That's a great pleasure.
Right ! Off to bathe Tiggy, put washing on, give the strggly one her medications then off out for her walk.
A lovely day wished to all including dogs, cats, ferrets, horses and HENS !
Sorry Frith....forgot to include them the last time.AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....
I HAVE A GOLD STAR and A MEDAL and a Title !0 -
Sorry if this is the wrong thread....
But how do you get your Lidl vouchers ?
None seem to be available around here. As I am in the process of trying to wrest the obsessive online food shopping from the person I live with....the exercises in using vouchers and buying RTC, will (I hope) encourage a new way of looking at things.
What's funny is that I do ALL of the cooking. :rotfl:AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
