  • Well the pc that died on Monday was no working yesterday so I told them watt to do at the mill and worked from home. Guess what, this morning still not fixed!

There, note that BoP dis not pick on anyone!

    Now onto BoP things

Raffles had his visit to the Veterinary yesterday and he is paw good. I trapped him quite early on and closed the doors. He knew! Straight into the cat box and whisked away chelping! He is back next weak to check his fur!
Off to gym later to keeps me !!!!les looking right and my beach ready looks! Ifs yous unsure about !!!!les, check the internet.

Usual box of lunch with sour grapes and a riband! Blue one! Nice

BoPsie all set for her hols with BoP soon.

Oh, and no scratches from Raffles neither!

That is all for your version of the Life of BoP.

    Opposites don’t oppose!
  • So......... Another 98 pounds later (560.00 for op)

Tiggy has been given probiotics....which she tried to spit out....

And an antibiotic/steroid cream for under her tail....it is so inflamed from all the acid she has been secreting the last 2 days. Even though she has had about 15 showers there have been periods where I have fallen asleep for a few hours....and as the leaking was almost 3 or 4 times an hour, the result was a very sore tail and bottom. They still think that it is a reaction to the gen. Anaesthetic.... But have changed her painkiller......another 30 quid down the drain. Not sure that I am keen on them and too tired to go through invoices at the moment.

So.....grateful for pain killers,..... Both for Tiggy and myself. Lifting her in and out of the bath that amount of times has strained my shoulders and back.

Grateful for the radiators that are now all covered with washed clothes. Don't have tumble drier.......smell in the house is lovely,....,.....

And thank you to all ,........ I love this thread

(Tiggy snoring gently beside me........she is tired too.....):kiss::kiss::kiss::starmod:

Worky day number two which means five days off! Hurrah!

    Nice walk to work.

Was an okay shift, I sniffed my way through much of it having woken with cold like symptoms. Do one! I don’t have time!

Tips were a bit on the low side however they bought me some RTC flowers.

Home. DD2 picked me up again.

Have a nice night...it’s blooming chilly here with the tiniest sliver of moon. I’m off to get my jammies and a face pack on.

blb - all good wishes for you, your budget managing (do investigate that pdsa link)and tiggy. I still haven't been able to reach M to ask about Ninou's stitch removal+progress. Typical for this hopeless signal area. Will try again before heading to Wales+rugby, tmrw now.

    1. The loss of both Clive James and Jonathan Miller, announced on the same day, is no pleasure. &'s marmalade+poetry path crossings with CJ in Town of Gown dated back quite some years, ditto cross-Tasman 'enmity' :-))), and the shared Yurp'n'academia urge, and books and books and books ......
    RIP The Push.
Passing Portugal Place will never be the same.

    2. 13 jars cooling, labelled Barbarian Marmalade this time, hoisted with plenty of rum. Used limes, lemons, oranges.

    3. Crimbo cake still in until 21 bells-ish. Just went and put foil on top , turned it round, put it down to bottom shelf. &'s nose says all is well.

    4. Amused by hurrrchrs just now - Eddie auditioning Father Christmas wannabes. Wanted the loathsome creep Ross to be forced into it... oh well, it's Harrison, aka Ambridge's own PC Plod.

    5. Emporium rtc lamb pieces, use-up veg, black bean sauce and sthg else gkw have become a slow cooker dish divine. Arborio rice completion. Have eaten early. Portions to take with me will be yum.

    Pleasures today:

Driving to work at 06:30 in the dark, rain gently falling, knowing that this is all natural and how it should be at this time of year, the hibernation season. In a few short weeks the sun will return.

Busy busy work day but with nice team mates.

Unit boss bought McDonalds for everyone because of how busy we've been.

Home again to Chinese meal, son's treat.

Lying in bed, listening to Classic FM, wearing the latest fashion accessory draped across my chest - a tiny, tabby and white kitten named Roger. He came to live with us on Tuesday.

    Hello to Roger!

    Pleasures for today (Thursday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) A quick burst of work this morning, back in time for brunch.

    3) Brunch was sausages, beans, eggs and hash browns.

    4) Hens OK.

    5) Bigger son had a nice day of cycling followed by work.

    6) Did charity shops in the afternoon. Really needed some gloves but I wanted some just like my existing gloves (but not all falling apart with the thumb missing!) There they were, mittens with the finger bit that folds back, nice and long up the arm and big enough for my man sized hands. Red with white snowflake pattern. Brand new with the tags for H and M - £2!

    7) Posted some Ebay sales.

    8) Popped in to see my sister and dropped off little niece's Advent calendar - a Lego one, free from Topcashback thanks to an MSE prompt.

    9) Watched I'm a Celebrity.
  • Thank you

Looked on PDSA website and I am entitled to LOW COST care. I don't know what that means but as I have looked in the past thought I wasn't eligible because have not had Housing Benefit or Council Tax relief. Will speak to them today. Did contact them when my Murphy died to offer them his medications which were all foil wrapped and had a few years to go....but they seemed unsure.

I hope Ninou (I love just saying that name) is recovering. That was a hefty operation.

I do have insurance for Tiggy, always have for both of my dogs, but it's the middle band so does not cover teeth. However, grateful that they covered some of Murphy's costs. The rest sitting on my zero percent CC. So,..........

Grateful for carboots and auction sites that will go some way to paying off debt.

Have I said that I am grateful for running water? Tiggy had shower about half an hour ago and now washing machine is on doing it's magic.

And now for my secret pleasure....I love the time from approx 4am to 6am. Everything is quiet and I can just get on with things....or not.... :rotfl:

And I love sitting quietly with my lovely cup of tea.....

    Have a lovely day

Great find on the gloves Frith

    Thursday pleasures,

Have a sore side, possible pulled muscle from doing goodness knows what, so pleasure of painkillers and HWB.

Found and ordered some decent recycled and recyclable wrapping paper, tags made out of old cards as always.

Lovely friend came to bath and clip small dog, had a good chat afterwards about our ponies.

Tea was baked potatoes with Bolognese topping.

We’ve found a great programme, Canal Boat Diaries, and have been binge watching it. A personable chap talking about the reality of living on a boat, compelling viewing and good to see so much of the industrial heritage of our canals.
