Thanks FrithDH had already decided he wanted (and I had sent form in) for a proxy vote - he was worried about the threatened postal strike .
We should be home by 4pm ,so I'll have plenty of time to go and cast them .
We've always voted ,because if you don't you can't complain about subsequent happenings !

It's a long way home from Nepal by bike !

Hurrah on young Mhags passing test but scary and expensive I’m sure for Mum.

    Friday pleasures,

Capt S had day off so a more leisurely breakfast than normal, mushrooms on toast.

He needed some new work shirts and got it into his head to visit Town of Gown, not my favourite thing in the world to do as, not keen on shopping plus not keen on crowds and the city has plenty of both!

In the end we were not in there very long, he purchased the required shirts and I looked for a new 9inch cake tin in JL but there was little choice and couldn’t be arrised to walk up to L*keland. We did visit the cheese man on the market and picked up a couple of choice pieces.

Popped home to feed and walk small dog then had a late lunch in a village pub, lovely food and a perfect atmosphere with a roaring fire and friendly folk. Not very OS I know but a much needed treat.

No need for me to cook in the evening so enjoyed a glass of wine and sampled our cheese.

  • A nice relaxing Saturday, with a number of pleasures.

    1. Brunch from the local cafe...always a nice treat.

    2. Baked a cake, turned out well. I'm a good cook and love cooking, but not so keen on baking....or so I thought, actually enjoyed it. But don't really have much time to bake in the week. Something else to add to the early retirement to do more of list.

    3. Returned home from the weekly food shop and DD made us all hot chocolate

    4. Curled up on sofa, candles lit all warm and toastie ....catching up on here.

    5. Bottle of wine chilling in the fridge and a film lined up for us all to watch later.
Well Behaved women seldom make history

    Early retirement goal... 2026

    Reduce, reuse, recycle .

Hello. Bedtime...was supposed to be going out but I’m in.

A bit of an odd day. Picked up new car. DD2 followed me in my car. Just the couple of stalls and me getting through lights before she did and pulling in till she caught up!

Chat with DD1 about my decision making and her horrid housemate who keeps stealing her food, amongst other things.

Popped into work very briefly. As DD2 was working and that’s where we drove to!

Kind of pottered around. Taking things of walls. The gathering of the dry washing.

    Chat with friend on phone.

DD2 drove home from first job then I dropped her off at her it her as parking is hard ( just in from picking her up)

    Popped into my mothers.

Popped in for some takeaway and met a friend so had a chat whilst we high waited.

    Watched Strictly.

    4) Hens OK.

  • Lainey, if you are near a Range at all, they also do what seems to be a nice range of pans and baking pans, I think they are called diamond.

1 The lergy seems to be about, the pleasure being we’ve been a bit lazy.
    2 Watched a Christmas movie.
3 Stuck to the food plan, but we both fancied cupcakes but the Christmas cakes had taken the last of the butter, so we pondered to Aldee, lovely and quiet where we walked away with 2 large candles, liquorice, big rolls oh and what we went there for baking marg.:o
4 Cupcakes made and one snaffled.
5 Guardians of the Galaxy on BBC.
