    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Dropped bigger son off in floody city where he did a shift at the clothes shop for homeless people. He really enjoyed it!

    2) I went to the autism parent's morning.

    3) Hens OK.

    4) Brought lots of logs in and had a tidy up.

    5) Sold one item on Ebay.

    6) Watched DIY SOS.

    7) Bigger son has gone out with his poker set to meet his friends.

Smaller son is now ill with a high temperature. He is NEVER ill, apart from once when he was under the weather, bit of a temperature, then an hour later was in resus. So trying to check him without waking him every half hour or so.

I too am just in bed DD and glad to be so! And ‘tis blooming freezing...have actually put the heating to be thermostatically ( big word) controlled rather than my usual manual popping on and off.

So, last night neighbour of ‘oh I’d like the red leather sofa please ‘ came for said sofa...it got out of our house but not into theirs! So we took feet off! Still not. After a blooming hour of huffing and puffing it’s back in my blooming house and now the leg has broken and won’t go back on ( was faulty when I got it for free last year from charity shop , got my money reimbursed but was never a problem until now I want it to go...and the back has got all scraped ! Grrrr!

Have called charity shop three times and still awaiting a call back! Supposedly desperate for stock ! Well me too now I’m getting decorated a week earlier!

    And breathe!

Very cold day here. Very icy. DD2 fell on her already dodgy hip. I felt slightly bad as I’d meant to call her and warn her. Oops! So she’s very sore but is now sleeping.

Big day at work number one. And I was all “I know you’re hips are sore darling but mine ache too! “ by the end of it! however fabby tips today.

Scones were all eaten, soup was all scoffed only baked potatoes left and they’re now quartered and in my freezer to become roasties ! Son had one with coleslaw for his tea.

Had my first (then later) my second mince pie of the season ( though did have unseasonable ones in July when DD1 was home) . These ones were at work and had a pastry base, a mincemeat layer and then a very light sponge topping and were rather yummy. Brought one home too.

Drove to and from work though plan to walk tomorrow.

    My doggy. Always.

Feeling slightly in control of my mind having made some huge decisions. I’m quite self aware but sometimes the thought processes just have to process at their own rate...no point rushing! I know that all sounds very cryptic! Been an emotional roller coaster in my head! ( and heart)

Told boss I only want to do 2 full days and not the extra 3 hours stuck in the middle of another day. I shall economise...after the decorator and wood burning stove expense! That’s a different pot of money! She was happy enough with that.

    Night :)

Hope small son is ok Frith
Gggrr on sofa Mhags and glad to hear that the emotional roller coaster is slowing a tad.

    Wednesday pleasures,

It didn’t rain at all and we had lots of sunshine.

Worked the beautiful grey one after bit of time off and she was foot perfect, love my pony.

Popped into see a pal who moved her horse over the weekend, she had used the natural calmer that I recommended as her lad can be a tad stressy and was really pleased with how it all went, happy horse, happy owner.

The gorgeous orange of the trees against the blue sky, much admired when walking small dog.

Early to bed after rough night before and reading my new book, Greenbanks by D Whipple, tad old fashioned in parts but suits my mood at the moment.
  • Thanks for the welcome everyone

Purple - that did make me laugh. I have been known to cuddle up to a faux fur throw but not my outdoor coat :D

Bfh - Hope your results were ok last week

BOP - The railway! It was wonderful.

    Pleasures for Wednesday

    1. Having a £10 off a £40 Lidl spend voucher turn up from my mother in time to use it today. I predict a toilet roll mountain.
    2. Making a decent tasting blend out of several out of date yellow sticker bags of tea leaves (although forgot I had tea leaves in my cup when I took the last mouthful so that might cancel this pleasure out).
    3. Steaming hot shower
    4. Making a piece of gammon last four meals and still have enough for DH's lunch wraps today.
    5. Watching new cat go outside on the patio for the first time. Only for five minutes. Very slinky weasely thing as she looked around. Made me laugh.
    6. Was awake at 3:30am so enjoyed the peace and quiet with a tea and my journal. It seems I had to wake up early to slow down.
    7. Spending two hours on my painting by numbers last night.
  • Then wes better keep it quiet around here?

Next Tour of BoP is getting close. Three waks and two no sleeps for BoPsie!

Now on with the Lunch Bites.

Normal lunch box, and another proper digestive, but today we has a pensguin and a finger. A finger of fudge!

On mill fronts, I has an escape with another mill next weak. Fingers are crossed.

Waiting on the weather for tomorrows as to whether we gets to the flicks to see film. Free tickets, but could hold off a weak as it is rain!
Talking of rain, run inn this morning there was slush snow. Sorted out the brake drivers on hill. Why not just put car in second gear?

That is it for this day, I nows, bit short!

Yous inn adult hood nows! There is no point in turning back!

Well, what a really HORRIBLE afternoon (indeed, whole day) it is...

Hope your rollercoaster is getting sorted Mhags, must be so hard when part of you is on the other side of the world (and it's warmer there, though terrible about the fires)

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. PhD supervision went ok. Didn't get quite the same level of kicking as before.. Just wish i could write...
    2. Train journeys ok
    3. Good walks through regent's park, beautiful colours
    4. Out with OH to his friend's son's. Didn't want to go - had a fab time :p he has a pub in his garden!
    5. DD picked us up off the late train - though earlier than the 'loser cruiser' (last train)

    Keep warm and dry all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
