Dear friends, yes, it is this hour, nearly 2am.
In bed, after phoning again, as advised by authorities. It's a 24hr no.
Long day made longer by closure of most of M11 as used by & for Spitalfields. Diversion began before motorway. Nearly 30 miles extra, al slow, windy rural Essex and Hertfordshire.
Back here to same situ, so backed into cramped slot 2 doors away. Next moment, hear loud door slam. It is she, at 1.10am, outside, some way towards me, shouting she's been waiting, watching, demands my insurance details 'in the morning', something about having the police deal with me, something else worse but not entirely distinct. I do not look or speak, just walk down my path.
Noted I'd missed call from the crime prevention service, encouraging.
This time, speak with a young woman of same name as an NZ cousin. She is thorough, notes everything, says I must report every incident. I will call the crime prevention person in a few hours.

Bop, I echo all those good words and wishes and wisdoms for Jenny, as already expressed here. Yes, that long wait(R's Papworth times)....but it is done and recovery and rehabilitation are the next little steps stage. Raffles will surely bring something special+newt-y home to share with bopsie - much better than chocs, thinks he.

    1. Did Spits. Some lovely people. Better banking than & thought, nicely in time for car insurance renewal, due Sunday.

    2. Writing here.

    3. ....well, I'm awake:-) must have drifted off , turned light off on autopilot. First thoughts turn to bopsie and Mrs LW's dd1.....will check through day.

    4. RWC kicks off. Both Alma Front Row friends are posting wonderful pics and accounts, in Japanese(2yrs of lessons)and English, delighting 2 lots of Spits buyers yesterday, excited to see places+areas they knew, especially the fish market and temple.
    .
    5. Just now hearing Stephen Fry on R4, about Norwich City's Roundball Club's victory over man City?.....&'s out of familiar territory. Ooh, Friday factoid: Saint Stephen of Fry tells us his mother was England Hockey Goalkeeper!

Awww congrats Mrs LW, welcome Frieda! And sooo glad to hear that BoPsie is up and about.

Ampersand, it sounds like you're doing all the right things and not losing your head. I am very impressed at your composure.

    My pleasures:
    1. DH and I working from home today. Cats roaming around and breadmaker on. Cosy.
    2. Currently working on a presentation for work, which I have named "What the **** do we do if the SHTF?!". More appropriate title - for Board digestion - TBC. Quite interesting work.
    3. Plenty of lovely veggies in the bottom of the fridge. Cauli, babycorn and sugar snap. Curry is calling, I think!
    4. The smell of Zoflora as laundry dries in the bathroom.
    5. It's Friday!

Hello. I have so much still to do this evening.

Been a beautiful day with a stunning sunrise whilst out doggy walking .

Lovely walk to work with a spring in my step as I just had a few hours to do. Sent off half an hour early. Hurrah! No work for 8 whole days.

Nice walk home. DD and doggy met me half way.

Quick shower and then went for lunch with DD. Lunch was nice but service and wait for food was atrocious.

Over to Lidl and a few things purchased and some things for work.

Hairdressers. 2.5 hours and no more greys, a fringe cut in and a good laugh and chit chat.

    Dropped stuff in at work.

Popped into supermarket and met friend so had a lovely chat.

Home and threw dog in car and off to allotment to water the pumpkins. We’ve not had rain for a few days. Picked some sweet peas.

Home and the niecelys were there. Walked down to friends with baby and GN. To give a posy of sweet peas. Baby was hangry so cried and cried. We left.

GN had a bit of a strop. The great auntie was not in best of tids by this point. She had too much to do!

Lasagne for tea with some 20p sausage rolls from Lidl.

    Watched soaps.

I think it’s bedtime. I think I will get up very early and do what I should be doing now as I can’t quite be bothered!

pirate Petehope Mrs PP has had a good day and that you have too.
& continued strength in bucket loads sent to you. Grrrr to those fools.
  • Day off which is always good.

    1. House tidier. I moved some stuff of DH to a more suitable place where I'm not looking at it all the time.

    2. Weeded another area of the garden. It was lovely and sunny.

    3. Rugby world cup has started.

    4. Went to first rugby match of the season. We won which is always good.

    5. Good seeing all the other season ticket holders around us.

    Friday pleasures,

Capt S has a few days off so a leisurely breakfast whilst we made a list of things we would like to do.

The postie brought a SH copy of a book I’ve been after for ages.

Treated ourselves to lunch out, had a hankering for fish & chips but ended up sharing a dish of paella with beloved, it was delicious and he kindly peeled my prawns for me :D

There was a tack shop in the same village which I had never visited before, for an equestrian that’s like being in a well stocked sweet shop but I was very restrained and just picked up an extra lunge line for our long reining.

Smashing evening walk with small dog then a lazy old evening watching tv and chatting, our lunch kept us full until 9ish when we indulged in hot buttered crumpets with marmite.
