It'll be nice when it's done, PK.
Pleasures for today (Wednesday).
1) All washing done again. 5th set of bedding in 5 days and no improvement for bigger son.
2) Amazing nurse phoned just after 8! Another blood test, chest x rays and analysis of "fluid type things" tomorrow. I wondering if they're going down the TB route now.
3) Bigger son back to enrol at college so let's hope he hasn't anything too awful or he'll have been a proper Typhoid Mary!
4) Popped to Sainsburys then got hen food.
5) Hens OK.
6) Popped in to see mum and dad.
7) A dozen phone calls to HMRC then suddenly managed to chat to them online. Their mistake that half child benefit and all tax credits had stopped without warning (leaving us with nothing and a mortgage payment that bounced).
8) Going to bed in a minute - HWB tonight!!0 -
Good Morning,
PK I love our new kitchen, but installing it was a difficult time for us, and the builders. It was worth it in the end.
Wednesday
1. Got to work early again. Tried a different route.
2. I have been given a TA on Wednesdays. She is lovely. We spent the day organising the store cupboard. She has worked wonders.:j
3. DH put a chicken tray bake in the oven as I left work. Was ready to serve shortly after I arrived home.A bit undercooked, but a pleasure to be eating a bit earlier.
4. Watched Interior Design Masters and Who Do You Think You Are?.....just too tired to do anything else
5. DS1 has negotiated a pay rise.
Have a lovely day0 -
Happy new kitchen PK
Wednesday pleasures,
A very wet morning so soggy dog walk, she’s clipped off at the moment so looked a cute picture in waterproof jacket.
Did a stock shop and then rearranged my larder cupboard, something very satisfying about preparing for the colder months.
Following on from above then checked winter coats, boots etc, all good and nothing needed.
Pictures sent through from a very soggy Old Trafford, the lads gave up for a while and went in search of sustenance, found the town hall open and hotpot on sale for just £2 per portion, not so grim up norf!
Watched new series of Grand Designs, house perched close to edge of cliff on Scottish coast, very envious of their views.0 -
Wow, I saw that too Lainey, beautiful and wild.
Boss is off this morning. Lots of work done.
Mrs Blackbird waiting on garden table for treats. She has learned there are 2 cats around.
Sunshine here and washing out after a rainy week.
Heating on for morning showers.
Got lovely new boots in M&S sale. I hope it is ages before I need them. Wishing for an Indian Summer.0 -
Is ok folks, is really a trap and I thinks theys fallen for it! In buck of face group it is considered to as a bankspanlge or similar!
Nows on with the BoPiness for the day!
Only a tweak, ooops weak to go for Jenny’s reboots and … :heartpuls to the needy. Mays has to gets me flu jab shortly, but new lugs has sore ted the vertigo!
Inns mes lunch box today I has two cheeses! Nice! Got BoPsie a bottle of whine yesterday and it has gone. This morn I fed Raffles and we has deadstock, one and a half. No doubt the other is around someswheres.
Day T minus thirteen. Note new, but we has some drinks inn the dining room ready! No more to reports as quite on the quack fronts. Oh and bluebottle, the one who rushes pass the BoP on his way to work, only to be one car inn front at the crosshands lights, today is not going to work! He has crimped his car. Germanic extraction, now waiting for the crap truck.
Oh I dids tells you about those with no monies? Well yesterday BoP was inn wobbleade emporium and they has a puggy machine. It paid out four of our pounds and took about £60! He has a nice 18 plate car of Germanic extraction as well! There! Please note that BoP does not give financial advice, but when he does, he hits the nail on the head! See above!
Nows on about advice. Yous see BoP gis yous it strait! Nows on again about non foods! Bananas. Soz, got that inn, Soz DD. Bananas ares bad for you. Yous sees whens BoP had his cardiac arrest, electrical problem not plumbing, and his sinus node failed, hence Jenny, was due to bananas! Too much potassium! There, on the same list as them Bored Beens and Sprouts.
PK, new kitchen! Inn BoP’s, I can bounce the pans from the stove to the sink!
PS, you should put the sprouts on now for xmas!
Too late now for more BoPiBits!
Now on our way through the day, just wear your smile!0 -
Hello.
Hugely long day at work 8-5 on feet all day. Hips and back complaining muchly!
However walk to and from ( hobbled back) was dry.
Met a couple of dog walky people I know on the way to work so had a very quick chat to them.
Had a fruit scone mid morning ( I was on scone making duty) and a toasted sandwich mid afternoon.
Home with a new to me vase. Boss had bought it second hand but didn't like the colour ( plum) so it's home with me.
Had chips for tea.
Cleaners were in. So nice and tidy.
DD2 and doggy met me halfway home.
Early start tomorrow with a hospital appointment in city. So I think it will be early to bed.
Have a nice night.
Hope you get son sorted out at hospital frith0 -
WE went to order the new chest freezer which online said delivery in 3 - 4 weeks only and the salesman said oh. we've got one in the warehouse do you want it now? yes please! so it's in, turtned on and I can load it tomorrow.
Lunch out at the carvery on the way home and HWK has an AA app which gives us a discount of 20%, Mmmmmmmm!
Nice carrots from the allotment and also tomatoes, berries (not many) and one solitary courgette.
Met DD1 in town this morning she's at work until Friday but came to meet us for coffee and cake because she's only doing admin in the staff room.....and because she was hungry so we had a little time out and she got a little peace and quiet. She finishes tomorrow if baby doesn't arrive before then and has another week before her due date.
Got some bargain offers at Farm Foods and stock cupboard now looks fuller.0 -

BOP, ours is a dinky kitchen, you can reach from the stove to the sink, but now the cupboards are quality and not falling apart, and the ceiling isn’t nicotine and water damaged from the previous people, it was bad, we saved for about 10 years for this one.
HouseElf, I can look at it now and picture it finished, and love it, it’s matt white on top and a deep midnight matt blue on the bottom cupboards, but the “niggles” of getting there are fun. I knew it would be a noisy time, but having not done it before it’s a learning curve.
1 Lovely people at the kitchen solved a minor issue no worries, the skip is about full.
2 A nice chat with a couple of neighbours.
3 Cooked a veg burger in the caravan and served with salad for dinner.
4 Birds on/in the bird bath, and buddleia has had beautiful butterflies on it this afternoon.
5 Watching first dates hotel.0
