Hello. Bedtime and dark o'clock. Just been the last dog walk of the day in the last of dusk before dark.
Chatted with three different folk putting out my recycling this morning.
Work. Did. Done. Out.
Niece called to say GN had had a fall at school. Poor wee soul. Face all bashed.
They still came for tea. Made fajitas and nachos and salad. Baby joined us at the table in his high chair!
It's been dry but not particularly warm here.
Saw an elephant hawk moth caterpillar ( that's a mouthful ) on the pavement....kind of endearing looking? ( kind of!) as I Popped into my mothers on way back from work.0 -
& how truly awful for you. Have you been in touch with police? Council ( anti social behaviour team?) know we are all here for you x0
-
& - wondering idly if a dashcam would be a good idea? Just in case they try to prevent you driving off at any point. I don't have any CCTV myself but sounds like your friend can advise. I have borrowed a trail cam in the past, but just for looking at muntjak.
Pleasures for today (Friday).
1) Not a bad sleep. Bigger son is over his jetlag.
2) Hens OK and they enjoyed some blackberries, raspberries and wild strawberries as they toured the allotment.
3) Spent a while getting paperwork together then off we all went to college. Smaller son's TA poised by the door to meet him. It had taken me 2 hours of bargaining to get him in the car...
Well, she seems great! She's worked at the college for 25 years, I showed her all the paperwork he needed and she whisked him away and got him enrolled!
Went back to college after an hour or so and they were having a chat (!) and bigger son had finished his paperwork and signing up so he was also chatting to her. After all the fussing before college today, he is all for it now, likes his lanyard, likes the TA and is looking forward to starting.
4) Chips from the van for tea then made flapjacks.
5) Watched Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing - my favourite programme at present.
6) Though I have less than zero interest in the royal family, today Princess Charlotte (?) was wearing some clothing from my friend's hand made clothing company!0 -
Frith college is sounding promising for smaller son at the moment.
1. Away for a few days in France. We got here. We flew Ryanair so a bit unsure as to whether we would be cancelled due to strike.
2. Swam in the sea yesterday.
3. Good food and wine and lovely sunny weather.
4. European rugby fixtures are out and 2 away trips booked already. Can definitely do one but the other possible that we can't do but flight very very cheap.
5. Fixtures mean that I have a good reason now not to attend Christmas work do!!
DS1 has had his flight cancelled by BA on way back from Italy and the wedding he is best man at. He is coming home 2 days earlier with us but had wanted to see Venice.0 -
So sorry that you are going through all this & good idea on a dash cam, sounds the more evidence the better.
Sounds a promising start for college Frith
Friday pleasures,
A warm, sunny day so hurried around to get everything done before it got too hot.
Exercised the beautiful grey one, think we both felt lethargic so 20 mins schooling followed by a meander around the field.
Braved the emporium on a Friday pm before a BH weekend but luckily it seemed as if everyone else had already been so it was relatively quiet.
Despaired at the cricket, too much of one day mindsets and going for balls they had no right to, is no-one willing to play the patient game of test cricket?
It was warm by evening so a cba tea of blue cheese crumpets followed by bowl of ice-cream.
A special six of Bob and Paul doing their fishing, definitely best thing on tv at the moment.0 -
Oh &, I don't know what to say. What an awful situation...
Good time to come to ICT, Frith as holiday makers are dwindling. Summer holidays in ICT is not really my favourite time cos it busy's up.
Pleasures for last few days
1. Train to ICT was ok, despite a "shrewsbury shuffle".
2. Seeing OH and DS for the first time in a while. we all went to the sister in law's (where MiL was staying) for dinner. Was nice to catch up -
3. even nicer that they've all gone again :rotfl: OH is coming back this PM though
4. the Villa won so he'll be in a good mood
5. circuit by the sea yesterday, while I pondered a PhD problem. I think I've worked it out
6. Gin
7. left over chicken curry for tea so no cooking
8. I think my festival jet-lag has gone :T
Have a nice bank holiday weekend allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Alright, here. One is required in the market town of horse! :heartpuls
BoP will not mention the cricket today!
PM2DD Take 5 #UTM And the Scooonts are one point clear at the bottom!
Had me snorkers and best back for brakefest this day, with grilled toms and mushrooms and poached eggs. YestDay I had another kitchen disaster, and dropped a poached egg. Raffles cleared it up. He has been doing his sun thing today!
Stuff the cricket!
Now where was BoP. Oh it is BH so BoP has fixed his leaking bath, plumbers can go and … Did front yard and now is putting his pins up for the day!
Was out at the, Ms LW, The Ragged Cot last eve and had decent food. There BoP searches decent foods for yous!
Limited appearances this weak!
That is it for BoPs today!
It does not matter what is in the mirror, it is only a reflection of you!0 -
Washing dry on the line on this amazing day.
The best game of rugby I can remember watching for quite some time on the TV.
It's beginning to cool down outside (sadly not indoors).
Finding my little silk fan that I found for 50p at a jumble sale and plying it to coolness!
Being not quite so itchy as I was from my allergic reaction.....but only a bit!0 -
Hello Peeps,
Back from hols, but I have not caught up yet. Missed you all of course!
