MrsLW out first home match is end of September and I thought that was long enough to wait.

    1. Met a friend for coffee. We hadn't seen each other in ages so a good catch up.

    2. Went to Sissinghurst with DH. Enjoyed walking round and managed to persuade DH that we didn't need to buy coffee and cake.

    3. Home and had coffee and cake sitting in the garden.

    4. DS1 speech went alright at the wedding. Haven't heard anything else about it. He probably had a few drinks after the speech.

    5. Some gardening done. It looks better.

  • Porridge for breakfast.....the best!

Nice walk round the lake in the sunshine and the ducks were all sat asleep on the bank enjoying it too.

Meeting the most beautiful steel grey staffie puppy, 5 months old of licks, cuddles and enthusiasm, what a sweetie.

Coffee out in the village, we had the place to ourselves too.

DD1 and James are coming for tea this afternoon and have asked for scones, love making scones.

Hello. Not quite bedtime yet! After a day of much rain it's brightened into a beautiful late afternoon/evening.

Work. Fine. Not crazy busy but kept going. Straight out that door at 12!

Nipped into T and bought some Autumn bedding plants. May buy more if they are RTC though these were full price.

Walked to and from...with my hood up as it was raining!

A friend has just picked up my second arm chair! Hurrah! Both gone. What a difference in space.

Washing out and getting a very good blow!

Did a bit of weeding and pulled out the gangly pansies...shall replace with the Autumn ones!

OH's best friend popped in with our tree....that they kindly looked after whilst we lived in Australia. It was too big for a car and he had the use of a van today. It's a maple we bought in 2000

Phoned SIL and had a nice chat with her.

Just booked a week away on a Scottish island. Just me and my dog boy. A huge adventure for us both! A few more weeks to go. May well have been cheaper going abroad but hey did that for 8 years! Heat schmeat! And I don't have to worry about doggy daycare as he's coming along for the ride!

Boy out cycling and girl sleeping off a hangover ( after working most of day :))

    Today has gone very slowly.

    Pleasures for Sunday....

Time spent with daughter and her man, visiting me for the day.

My vegan tortilla lunch went down well (close your eyes, BofP, she's vegan, he's veggie). Mixed beans in garlicky tomato sauce, roasted root veggies, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, tortillas, dips. Fresh strawberries and cherries afterwards.

Trip into town, walk round cathedral then afterwards down by the river.

Fine sunny day, just a bit breezy.

Walk with visitors in park, dog running happily around. Visiting chickens, ducks and a goat on the allotments.

Watched comedy on Netflix (episode of Derry Girls) before taking visitors to catch their train.

Text from son saying his plane had landed at Manchester. He's just spent the weekend in Hamburg with a mate.

Fat ginger cat curled up on chair, snoring.

    Later on - Poldark!
