Tuesday pleasures,
Capt S up and out at 6 as Lancs last fixture of the year, being a member he got a good deal with the hotel at the ground and sent me a picture from his balcony.
To cheer ourselves up the dogs and I shared scrambled egg on sourdough toast.
Pilates class was good and come out feeling long & lean, don't worry that soon wears off as soon as any reflective surface is in sight :rotfl:
Watched GBBO and craved something sweet all the way through.
Three points with 3 goals for United, although against bottom club at home so should have been.0 -
Morning from t'early train..
Pleasures for yesterday
1. got my submission as complete as i can prior to meeting with supervisor today. if she couldn't meet me, I'd just submit it and i'm sure it'll be ok. However, i am also sure that she will have comments that make me have to edit. Am a bit in Eff it, that'll do mode. Submission date is Monday but want to submit friday so I can go to ICT and build bonfires.
2. Had the evening off, so I watched Finding Nemo with DD. We are going to Disneyland Paris in 10 days (her 21st birthday pressie) and she has set herself the task of watching a disney film every day prior to it.
3. ALso watched Dr. Foster - wow!
4. HM veggie curry for tea.
5. OH made his dodgy flight and is having a lovely time... Beer may be involved..
Have a great day all - busy London day for me. Meeting, then Regent st. library, then British library..I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Nearly bedtime. Woke up with my alarm this morning so that was better than previous few nights.
Work. Was fine. The end is in sight! It was never a forever job and I'm glad I have a genuine reason to leave!
Much tidying / clearing / washing / cleaning done. Who knew there were so many cobwebs in my house? That must mean there are many spiders!
Had to buy a new hoover today which DD1 will keep but other one had hardly any suction left which when you need to get rid of cobwebs is not so good. It's been taped up and taped up some more and has served us well considering we have a hairy hound. New one swivels and feels different but it does what I need it to do! They only had the display model left in shop but they got one in for me and delivered it for free later afternoon , so that was rather excellent service!
Was out gardening for a bit.
Met neighbour , noted she had sea bands on her wrists ...thought she's pregnant and it turns out she is and feeling ghastly with nausea. Still early days but that was lovely news .
I've sold my husband's beloved motorbike. Chap came this evening , paid a deposit and coming back on Friday, he seemed a nice guy and I think OH would have approved of him taking it. I didn't love the bike but he did so there is an emotional attachment to it. But such a relief! Sharing the money with the kids.
Have a good day .0 -

2 nite we are having chicken roulette for supper. Recipe was given a few weeks ago. If you stay around, the xmas pud and ckae this FryDay. Also on FryDay BoP will be stabbed with the vaccine against flu. That way BoP will be piste ready all winter long. If you cant wait until FryDay for the ingredient list, here is a tickler. Pleasures for today:
1) Might have had a little snooze after sons left at 7.30.
2) Hens well. Had 3 corn on the cobs, a cabbage and a bowl of raspberries from the allotment.
3) Went to pick bigger son up from college and popped to charity shops. Brand new pair of Fat Face slippers for £5!
4) My dad came round. He has replaced his Toyota with another, newer pickup and is very excited! He phoned to ask if I would do his new insurance online and was very disappointed when I was going out to get son and said I couldn't do it until 3! I was actually sitting at the laptop at 3.10 and he obviously couldn't wait any longer because he phoned to say he was coming round as he "wasn't doing anything in particular...".
5) Tasty tea of chicken kievs, rumbledethumps (a new favourite this year) and corn on the cobs.
6) Already in bed as it is raining so hard and very dark here. Bigger son is also in his bed and smaller son is playing football online with his friends.
7) About to watch GBBO.0 -
PM2BOP draws all round. Shame, I was liking LT's green run
1) turned down lift and walked into work. I do so love the autumn.
2) Skype with nice chap who came to our LGBT+ workshop in Helsinki. Turns out nice chap is chief dental officer for Italy. Slightly surreal start to morning
3) tasty hm lunch of buckwheat (totally addicted), feta, salad, sun dried toms and balsamic chilli dressing. Very scrummy
4) watched interview with a vampire. Fun horror
5) won a raffle prize on Friday - Yorkshire teabags and Yorkshire gingerbread. Just eaten my first piece of the gingerbread - was very yummyMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1. Year 8 riding around playground on trikes. They had fun!
2. Head Teacher came into our lesson as the students were watching a video. She commented about how calm it was. When I said how lovely the group were, she said that they were not always so well behaved! ......:A polishes halo!
3. Hoping I have puruaded school to take out subscription for organisation who collect waste from businesses for use in DT and art etc. Visited them again this afternoon and lady gave me a pair of manikin legs to take away! :rotfl:
4. Got £10 back in APG and wombles when I stopped off at Mr A on the way home. Yay!
5. Naughty mid week glass of wine turned into half a bottle. (Paying for it this morning!).
DS and GF and have just arrived home. They are very loud
Have a lovely day.0 -
1. Feeling tired but managed work which went fairly smoothly.
2. More books went to the League of Friends shop.
3. Finished my book on the bus journey.
4. Spoke with my Mum.
5. DS2 delight when Chelsea scored. He started to support them after watching a world cup when he was young. His team won it! He had supported the blue team throughout the competition and France eventually won. DH took him out to buy a football shirt and came home with a Chelsea shirt as he liked the blue the best. DH has no interest in football so would have had no influence on the matter.0 -
Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday

3. Good meeting with supervisor. Basically it is better than F**k it that'll do. Just needs a little bit of editing and "throwing in the methodology chapter. As you've done it, you might as well". so more editing. It should all be able to be uploaded tonight - 4 days early:T
4. Lovely warm sunshine
