Frith thinking of you and bigger son.
House elf hope today is better at work
1. Saw some lovely people at work. One had to wait after seeing me for a while and kept getting a cheery hello and thank you. Good way to start the day.
2. Over lunch talking with a colleague and deciding that we may go on a vegan diet for 2 weeks as reports say it helps with various health issues and certainly won't harm my arthritis and back problems. Have to decide on a 2week period we can both do.
3. Found an emoty box at work which I brought home and have wrapped and will be used for a hamper for my aunt and uncle.
4. Doing some stretching exercises and pilates. I have got out of the habit as it's been too painful but it does help.
5. Spoke with DS1.He went to the cinema and saw Victoria and Abdul. It is a film i would like to see.0 -
Thank you & Lulu has certainly given me a new zest and focus for life
Ggrr, just ggrr on ex Frith
Better work wishes to HouseElf

Saved up coppers paid into bank, £29.10, proceeds will be sent to DM's hospice.
Treated myself to new legging type things so Pilates instructor will be able to see my feet
Veggie shepherds pie with cheesy sweet potato mash, yum.
Uni Challenge and Only Connect, little grey cells exercised.0 -
VL DD1 keep saying she will go vegan...but after this occasion or after that do!
Well, Mr Balckbird is singing beautifully. Not in my garden but very nearby. Love the sound.
Today has not gone as planned but extra things gave creeped in that weren't on my list.
Been awake since 2.30 am which is ridiculous and will hopeful sleep better tonight. Had a not so good dream and couldn't get back to sleep.
Work. As you know I normally despise a Tuesday shift but decided to embrace this morning and it was okay, had a few nice chit chats and read half a Woman & Home magazine!
Met my Canadian friend for breakfast , her treat, I do offer to pay and everybody keeps refusing to let me! I had sourdough toast and bacon. We had a good chat and a good amount of laughter. I will miss her.
Home with an extensive list written whilst at work. In depth for each room of what needs to be done prior to moving out.
Took stuff to salvos and some to smelly op shop ( takes electrical goods).
Son changed some light bulbs and washed light fittings . Tick.
Did a bit of gardening. Tick
Went to supermarket with son. In and out in 15 minutes and profiteroles were half price. Would have been rude not to. Dropped off a bag of food from my cupboard of still in plenty date things that won't be used before we go for food bank .
Booked kids flights. This was not on the list but when I was wide awake at silly o'clock I had a look and there were only a few seats left on our selected date. I was going to wait until Sunday as interest would have been paid but did not want to risk losing seats so scrabbled together enough money from various accounts and paid. So I will not lose interest. Had to get a day later than planned or they were going to have to come a very long convoluted way via Dublin then Edinburgh with an extra 6 hours . They would probably have flown over our house on the way!
Then had to apply for DD2's UK passport. So that wasn't on the list either but needed doing.
Going to make spag Bol for tea.
My gorgeous dog boy joined our family three years ago today.
The sun has shone all day and it's been pleasantly warmer than expected. Much washing done!
Have a wonderful day0 -

ooh yum. Now DD (who is not veggie, but is 'nearly' - yes, I know that there is no such thing) is home, I plan MUCH more veggie food. DS is the real meat eater in our house and he's at uni now. The above is definitely on my list.
Frith - no words...
Pleasures since Friday.
1. Deadline looming but 'pomodoro' technique is doing it's thing and i am ok with what I have done.
2.DS phoned  Unheard of for him to pick up the phone. I think his "thought you might appreciate the call, Bab" can be translated as "I needed to call". He is getting on Ok
3. Went to candlelit yoga on Sunday. It was fab, very intense poses and ..... <<fanfare>> I reached my toes...:T:j
4. OH has gone on his holidays. He is having a lovely time (train and beer based...). His contingency plan to get from Greece to Bulgaria (in case they closed the border - they did) was a Ryan air flight... Luckily it flew.
5. Coffee with friend on Sunday.
6. DD and i did a tip run on Saturday - left over flat furniture and rubble from taking a partition down to get at the drains. One more run to do...
7. Lovely walk round the block in the sunshine, at one point all i could hear were the birds.
8. Using up fridge, cupboard and freezer food.
Back to the typing... have a lovely day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
5 So pleased I managed to remove some evil tack from the shelves of the emporium yesterday. Please do the same. It is just one small step from thinking innocent about paying over the odds for a piece of tack that looks harmless, yet contributes to a fest of evil. There is no place for this. I used to enjoy having my birthday on bonny night, yet today, in the lead up to it, a lust of envy and greed that diminishes the enjoyment. What was a celebration is now tainted with hate.
While evil remains on the shelf, there can be no pleasure.0 -
Vjsmum Candlelit yoga sounds great!
A sneaky for last night I cooked up 3 jars plum jelly, and 3 jars plum jam, with the leftovers we had crumpets to test it you understand. Still have a freezer draw full of rosehips and damsons to tackle. We need the freezer space so it needs to be cooked up
1 I took the day off work, very last minute but we had a DF emergency, a pleasure as such that I can be there for him, but I must be in the office tomorrow.
2 For a rest/break I discovered a C0stco sort of near to him and went for a drive, ponder and bite to eat, before going back to him.
3 Home and had a slice of pizza from the freezer
4 I had a parcel in the car and remembered to drop it into a post office free returns and a refund – pleased.
5 I can see a massive bill coming in the future - that we won’t be able to avoid, so need to save bits everywhere and do a bit of planning a pleasure to plan.0 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens well - 1 egg.
3) Was a bit preoccupied this morning but got various little jobs done including phoning to make smaller son's physio appointment (he was referred weeks ago). The earliest available is December 1st!
4) Did a bit of geocaching in the afternoon whilst waiting for my friend.
5) Friend was not free so I was then in Floody City with not much to do. Decided to go to the woods and collect sloes. Only picked for 20 minutes but got 1.5 kg. Also went to the ancient pear trees (no one else seems to know where they are) and got several eating pears and 2 Worcesters.
6) Popped to Lidl and got smaller son's favourite cinnamon buns.
7) Picked up sons then smaller son went to choose his upgraded phone. This is one of the most exciting parts of his life! £25 Currys voucher which I shall save for emergencies.
8) Onto Sainsburys as I had forgotten to get milk at Lidl and there was a former colleague. The one rubbish part of our job seems still to be pretty poor.
9) Was 7.30 when we got home and I had my tea - salad and chilli from the freezer in wraps.
10) Smaller son enjoyed catering this morning as the teacher did not know what some of his fruit were. Bigger son was quite tickled that college have realised his hearing is not 100% (grommets etc when young). A rather earnest lady got him out of class and said, "I believe you have a serious hearing problem and you need to know we are here to support you in any way we can". He was a bit taken aback! Smaller son said, "You should have said pardon?" :-D
11) Bigger son quite jolly tonight and they have just stopped talking to each other in their bunk beds.0 -
Morning,
Been awake since 4am. Still fretting about work, despite your well wishes. Thanks VL and Lainey
Yesterday
1. LO chicken stretched to Coronation Chicken sandwiches for me and OH for lunch, and Fajias for 3 for tea.
2. NSD.
3. Trip out in the afternoon to organisation who recycle waste from businesses for use by schools for art, craft, and DT. Picked a sample bag of goodies. Made an appointment to go to another site, where they have more stock, for tomorrow, but I am certain school will not pay the subscription fee.
4. Kingsman 2. :rotfl:
5. Warm and sunny, so did not need a coat. Will it be for the last time this year?
Have a lovely day.:)0 -
1. Work ok. A friend have me lift to the car so arrived home earlier than the bus.
2. Ham cooking in the slow cooker so did salad with it for tea.
3. Managed to finish planting some bulbs but have ordered more! Realised how short a period of time I had before it got dark.
4. We had to choose menu choices for a meal on Friday. I did ask DH and DS2 but they were both very predictable. They wouldn't have guessed my choice!
5. Watched Holby and Bake off.0
