3 Saw local grandchildren yesterday ,seem OK if only could get DGS head out of phone
4 DGD happy ,been accepted by both the 6 th form colleges she's applied to and been invited to attend some Masterclasses at one .
5 can't think ,whilst DH is much better ,my nerves have been badly shaken by things .

Not enjoying The Betrayal ,it is so predictable and I do not think very well written ,aware it may just be me at the moment .

Good Luck to your son Frith.

Plumduffhow did you sell your car so quickly ,I am fairly sure the consultant will stop DH driving when he sees him next week .I will have to sell mine ,wanted my son to have it ,but they have parking issues and haven't managed to sell their house yet .

Off to bed soon ,I am so tired DH naps in the afternoon ,so is wide awake now and I can't go to bed until he is safe

    Sorry this is a moan.

Quick pleasures for today as it is late.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son drove us to his college.

    3) Went on to a carer's breakfast at a nearby golf club. There were little cards on the table where you could put your name and phone number if you wanted to "connect" to another carer and the lady across the table gave me her card! We had been talking about rationing and the war for an hour and she was very interesting.

    4) Hens well.

    5) Finally, FINALLY sorted banking out (visit 4 to the bank!) I cancelled a direct debit to bigger son's account before his 18th birthday but the money has continued going across. No record of it on my phone. Had to speak to the computer team and it took ages today to get it fixed. Paying more mortgage off now.

    6) Went to see my friend for a cup of tea.

    7) Bigger son has another interview - this time for the VSO! So we shall be trying to find Kingston upon Thames Thursday next week for that. :-)

    AND!

    8) 3 tickets purchased for Mark Steele, coming to canal town as part of his tour!
  • Frith, ohh my childhood stomping ground.

We got caught in a rather bad traffic jam of wrong place wrong time and 3 hours later we had moved a few miles, I then hobbled into the nearest convenience, the side of the m25 was quite frankly very nearly an option!
1 DH treated me to dinner out, and leftovers are in the fridge.
2 It was a nice day.
    3 It's drizzling snow.
4 Meal planning for the remainder of the week, and then re meal planning to make it look interesting and healthy.
5 Trying to search out Toothless things found me in hamleys and build a bear but nothing seemed to actually look nice.
  • Tuesday pleasures,

My F*tb*t is happy with me again :T Green across the board :D

Wet miserable day - the pleasure was that it was warmer than the last few days :)

DSis is fully kitted out with a machine to sort her sleep apnoea - so hopefully no more snoring & she will be with us for a while yet :rotfl: :) although she did say that the machine is very noisy :(

Finished concocting my hm soup - looking forward to several days lunches with hm croutons :)

Street light still being good & staying dark :T

    Tuesday pleasures,

    A better night’s sleep.

Sent back an item for return and it was free postage.

Pony was back to her happy self, apparently she has learnt which one is my car and, according to the yard owner, whinnies when it pulls into the car park, aw :D

Arrangements made to meet up with a friend for coffee later in the week.

  • Hi, yesterday was a big disappointment as had planned to visit Edinburgh Castle with a friend but it was snowing really heavily early morning so day out was cancelled. It then stopped snowing and by lunchtime there was no sign of any snow. So, trying hard to think of 5 pleasures

    1) Sewed in the morning and finished repairs for a friend.

    2) Stayed cosy in my warm home - but would have rather been out trudging around Edinburgh :o

    3) Tidied sewing room in the afternoon and found some repairs for myself I had forgotten about.

    4) Turkey curry from the freezer for dinner.

    5) Watched Outlander then Silent Witness while knitting more baby clothes.

I must say I was really clutching at straws trying to find five xx

Suffolksue I went on to Arnold Clark's website and there is a link for buying cars. I put in details and was given a price then chose a garage near me and appointments were from the next day. All done online in five minutes. Car needs to have one month left on MOT, two keys and service record. I then input the exact same details with We Buy Any Car, the quote from them was £500 less and there was an admin fee of £74.99. They also wanted six months left on MOT so I chose Arnold Clark. I really thought they would reduce the price when they saw the state of two of the alloys but no, I got the full price. I'm very happy with the whole process although still waiting for the money to be transferred into my bank as it takes 3-5 days. Hope this helps xx

Whop de do, aye, and yous be getting the curse shortly. MotM! And mes wores blue again yestday as your loanee was sent packing!

V Has yous noticed how Mr Wright never pops in! Humane Remains trawl high and low for replacement shovelers in the boiler house and all we gets is some pitch fork handlers. Oh well, we can train them up quick! That is why yous has to be pragmatic, if I don’t teach them the full use of the shovel, who does!

4 I is bins outwith the parish on these boreds. Blimey! Cor Blimey. I would suggest people avoid some boreds . One on the Banking sub bored should be moved to the relationship bored! I mean, if I earned over £3,000 a month I would be having a trip to Fisherman’s Wharf every fortnight! Nows has BoP bins on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about budgeting this xmas past? This month only has to last four weaks, so put a fifth away for next xmas! I will not say it again and gain and again! No No No No no no No!

3 Now abouts proper foods again. Sardines on toast tonight. Yous not tried it for a while has you? Proper tasty. Now mes Lunch Box! Packed again with orange, oranges in orange jelly. Three cakes of Jaffa. One chocklate digegestive thing. Salad, as wes has radishes this weak. Boiled egg and smoked apple cheese! Nows I sees that the wagon of chuck has meal deal. Plasticised bottle of fizz, bag of sugared crisps and a three day old sandwich all for £4! Ifs mes and Bopsie did that, it would be £40 a weak! £6 more than the shop! Got again, ons about money! On and on!

2 Nite BoP is in the gym and wes talking pounds again!

Had one today. And left out educationalists, softies and social workers.

    Round Holes!

Hello, sat atop my bed having just hoovered, polished and cleaned bedroom and bathroom windows...was shocked at how skanky they actually were! But nice and clean now.

It's been another snow day! Hurrah! ( I will not be saying hurrah tomorrow when I need to be out sharp! )

Beautiful. I love the light from the sky when it's snowy.

Was just pottering and about to head upstairs to Hoover when niece turned up, so baked some oatie biscuits and sat and blethered. Would you like this candle holder? That friend gave me last week. I like it but it doesn't really go and I don't really need it! Yes! Would you like this bathroom shelfy thing another friend gave me a few months ago but didn't fit in the bathrooms so sat outside in hallway doing nothing! Yes! Would you like this pile of hand me down clothes for GN? Too much for me to keep here! Yes! Hurrah! Out my house.

DD2 sent home from college. Would have been helpful to know before they went in that classes were cancelled. Walked to my mothers. Sigh. Ironed and hoovered. DD2 cleared her paths of snow.

Nice doggy walks throughout day in the snow.

Beautiful sunset. Very dramatic pink and golden clouds.

Tea will be RTC croissants. I'm going to have tuna in mine and DS can have bacon and cheese. Had leftover from Monday pasta for my lunch as DD never ate it.

No gardening today as garden was under inches of snow! Messaged the chap incase he tried to get up and incase his end of town was okay. But he couldn't even get to his van! Maybe tomorrow!

A kind message from a friend.

Crocuses and snowdrops peeking through the snow.
