    Good evening .

Sitting upstairs. Out the way of the chattering peoples downstairs.

Was up a bit too early this morning. Went back to bed and may have snoozed. Waaaah!

Took our Australian visitor to our nearest beach. Very blustery but at least it was dry.

Wandered round the charity shops. Got a few baby blankets and a very large bowl that is sat on my newly painted dining table. It's an odd bowl but I rather like it! It has a certain charm that maybe only I can see!

Had a tuna panini for lunch.

Back home. Just as mobile library was pulling into street. Returned a few then borrowed a few more. I'm kind of in a reading mood.

Went a nice doggy walk with H's old lady dog. Nice chat.

Tea was a mix up of what was left! Haggis neeps and tatties. Potato skins and potato scones! Brie, cranberry sauce, soft cheese and sausage rolls and there's so much more room in the freezer! Blackberry and plum crumble too. So even more room in the freezer.

Will be an evening with the soaps then bed I think!

DD - look at the consumer rights act 2015, especially anything relating to fitness for purpose. Which is an extremely high standard that sellers must adhere to
Check your contract to what it says regarding fitness for purpose.
Also the law of negligence is likely to come into force here - they have a duty of care towards you.

Hopefully just spouting some of these phrases will be enough to out e wind up. Write them a letter setting out the issues and what you consider to be their obligations. Put all your letters (Dr, PhD, any professional letters) after your name
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    DD that sounds frightening
Honest John in the Telegraph seems to have a good reputation ,also threat of small claims court to recover some of the money .
Will you get rid as soon as it's fixed ?
I had a VW that had a habit of dumping me ,spent >£1000 on 'getting it fixed ' both DH and DS told me to get rid of ,but I'd spent so much money that I insisted I would keep it
2/12 later it dumped me on the A14 in the pouring rain ,stood beside it thinking I could have had DD and the kids and probably her dog in this .
Got rid of it the next day
    DH didn't say ' I told you so ' much !
Busy day today ,took DH for more speech therapy ,they are all v kind but there really isn't much to be done ,he's still v down from seeing the photo of a much healthier him .
    No falls
    Slept well
    No shopping needed
Made a chicken jalfrezi from LO chicken ,it was good and two portions for the freezer

Good Luck to you son tomorrow Frith ,what is he hoping to study ?

SuffolkSue - son wants to do an Engineering Access course. We got the day wrong! Luckily I checked first.

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Good to get up after a terrible sleep. Smaller son got up just after 4am...

    2) Smaller son had a good day at school and bigger son enjoyed work this morning.

    3) Made loads of phone calls - insurance (now I don't have to go to court about my parked car that someone else hit), DVLA about the stolen motorbike, loads of admin type things.

    4) Hens OK. Did a bit of digging with them.

    5) Bigger son had a quick driving lesson.

    6) Smaller son went to sleep from 5-8 so I was watching TV and Antiques Road Trip came on (never watched before) and it was all about Kent and the railway to Dungeness!!

    7) In bed now to watch the Channel 4 thing about Brexit. (Boooo!)
  • Here's my five for today;

    1) I exercised to Rosemary Connelly dvd today. I've gotten out of the habit since November but am starting 2019 as I mean to go on :)

    2) I sewed 4 pillowcases to fit new pillows and pillow protectors I bought before Christmas. My old pillowcases were too tight. I used a sheet I bought from a cs for £2 so very frugal.

    3) After lunch I went for a walk - it was really windy so just walked for 30 minutes as it was hard going walking against the gusts. Very invigorating.

    4) Started watching "Killing Eve" while sewing. I'd started watching it twice before and gave up after a couple of episodes but today I've watched 6 episodes  Last two episodes left for tomorrow.

    5) I started my Healthy Eating regime today. In the past I've lost weight as my clothes would be getting tight and I was too mean to buy new clothes. But this time is for my health - I'm hoping if I lose a stone it will help take the pressure off my joints.

I'm off to bed now as I'm reading a Karin Slaughter book that is very exciting xx

MandM90 I was hooked on "YOU" as well - very different but compelling. Hoping there'll be a second series.
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )

    Monday pleasures,

Woke up with painful, blocked sinuses so pleasure of being prepped and having medication already in.

Popped into horsey town to run a few errands and must have seen 4 strings of racehorses.

Arrangements made for a family get together on Sunday.

Watching local news programme and one of our best friends popped up, in his home village and celebrating Plough Monday.

Uni Challenge, got a few right :j
