My Pleasures for yesterday
1. lovely lie in, no need to rush around in the morning
2. OH and I caught the train to Fairborne, walked 3 miles into Barmouth along the dyke. Dogs, children and people everywhere in Barmouth. We went to the co op and bought a picnic that we had by the sea then went to the pub for a glass of wine (me) and a pint (him)
3. Got a seat on the very busy train back
4. lovely chill time, music playing quietly, reading and chilling
5. Out for dinner with friends - the male half had 'one on him' and we're not sure why. We had a lovely meal and met with other friends later. Back home to see the fireworks on the telly.
Off to same friends later for dinner; hope said male has recovered....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
V Is that it? Fireworks in and Tears Out. Bought box in so should be good!
4 Boo. DD Wes already lost!
3 Raffles is mega. He had his flea thing last weak and on Sunday he had his worm stuff! He is not impressed with BoP. Currently he is under the xmas tree!
2 Night has to pack me skool bag and blow the dust off it!
Having one later!
There, a shaky start!0 -
Very lazy day for me today
1) Went to bed at 2 and woke at 6 - couldn't get back to sleep so I read until 8 and dozed till 10.
2) Sent texts to all my friends with lots of happy emojis.
3) Sat at kitchen table with deluxe coffee while writing my 2019 budget. I've cut back on three categories so time will tell whether it's doable.
4) Went to mums mid afternoon and had great catch up with sister, brother in law, niece and nephew. Nice steak pie for dinner before coming home at 7.
5) When walking home there was the most beautiful star studded sky. Amazing.

Happy New Year.
What a beautiful day to start a new year.
DD1 and I saw in the NY in my bed watching Eastenders on catch up...rock and roll.
DD2 rolled in around 1am, rather noisy, having been kindly picked up by her friends mum . I dropped off. She collected. I think I got the better deal! She somehow made her way into my bed at some point during the night.
Went a lovely walk round one of our bigger parks. It was nice to see so many people out and about enjoying the brightness and sunshine.
Home and read for a little while before starting dinner.
Traditional Scottish NYD meal of steak pie ( RTC beef and RTC pastry and RTC veggies! ) was yummy!
GN in bed and about to have lights off in 5. Was a late one for her last night. She'll go home in the morning.
Rediscovered the chocolates I got for Christmas. Had totally forgotten about them. Be gone!
Just going to watch soaps then bed for me I think!0 -
1. 2019 fully welcomed in The Alma, with much generosity, singing, wit and not only little one starring, but also big cousin behind the bar, birthday boy when midnight struck:-) Celebrated and HB well sung, prosecco'd and caked. A good start.
2. Back around 3bells, warm, safe, not stopped en rte back. Good &:-). Always wary of pc Plod and do nothing to put licence at risk, but...liquid celebration partaken, if not to excess.
3. Lots of good listening+ reading today. Laughter, too.
All good. Much shared+mutually enjoyed, in between bird feeder top-ups. Emptying fast atm. Jays, starlings, robins, great tits, coal tits, thrushes, blackbirds, haw finch(I'm pretty sure)), every sort of pigeon and turtle dove, wrens, gulls - no woodpeckers, no sparrows.
4. Luscious large crumbed fantail prawns+rice noodles+tomato salsa - all emporium rtc's, extremely!
e.g. the luscious prawns, 1 dozen, rtc 49p from £9.00. 2nd serving, one left.
5. Feeling content, snug, early bed tonight. Books. T'wireless. Things to sort. They'll happen.

_party_Happy new year_party_ we had a few people round and didn't get to bed till 2am so today was a late start.
You'll note new signature - a habit i want to embrace this year is focussing on one thing at a time and i found this quote 'Be like a postage stamp—stick to one thing until you get there.' My church (St Pauls Dundee) has a plaque commemorating Patrick Chalmers, and his father James Chalmers, a stationer of Castle Street who invented the adhesive postage stamp so seems a very apt quote!
Feel your pain bop though we're both placed the same as we were end of last year
glad to hear ABs are working their wonders laineyt
1) when i did finally surface the house elf had tidied the kitchen :j
2) breakfast was avocado on toast
