Good Morning Folks,
New Years Eve preparations .......after I have been to a meeting for work
Yesterday
1. DS2 had a new hard drive delivered. He was really bored waiting for his computer to be up and running, so I made him bring all his washing down, vac his floor and polish his desk. :j
2. LO for lunch.
3. A few things listed on EBay. I have had a bit of a break, as too many people started to complain. I felt a bit like a soft target who would refund. May be I am on a list somewhere.......Anyway, it takes the fun out of it :rotfl:
4. Popped to Lidl for bread and milk. The reduced chiller was piled high with stuff for 20p each. No one else was interested, so I have party food, lunches for work and family meals. A whole small trolly load of food for under £10. I even remembered the bread and milk and a bird feeder! :j
5. Watched a couple more Vera's with the fire on. Rock and roll :rotfl:
Have a lovely last day of the year0 -
Sunday pleasures,
Caught up on all things Ambridge and the Canterbury Tales downloaded for ron.
Reading one of my presents from beloved, Moon over Solo.
Started to deteriorate health wise and after advice from friendly pharmacist phoned 111 and got an emergency appointment at nearby health centre. Antibiotics prescribed. Thank goodness for the NHS.
Straight to bed and snuggled down.
Will bank #5.0 -

Annoyingly(politest, leastest term) & has lost all pics, contracts, diary, addresses from this very mob., but MrT staff will try speaking to Nokia today. Maybe 3rd time lucky?
2 in-store attempts x4-5 hrs after Crimbo. All feel ethg is somewhere in &mob., but where?
Needless to say, it comprises irreplaceable hundreds of images and video, contacts, ems, going back years.

1. Reading here, able to thank and share your thoughts and osps, aware though I am that some are pausing.
2. Managed quick Sat. 4am daytrip flit to Dennebroeucq farming family, remarkable, good people in every way.
Sleigh run🇪🇺🎄🎅🛷🎁🇪🇺
All much appreciated by them, but it is reverse: &'s great pleasure. This is a 'famille d'accueil', with everyone valued.
Farm is mixed and bio.
Was immediately told, by several, they'd been talking about &, concerned, on Christmas Day and since, even that very morning!
3. During course of evening, after we'd finished feeding calves + last milking, lovely munch of canard and &'s Crimbo cake/mince pies etc. approvingly sampled, M-E saw &'s left thumb, which is due for a bit of chop.
Right thumb done 4yrs ago.
M-E took &'s hand, did not touch thumb, but passed her palm over it and back, through perhaps a minute of hushed, breathy, barely-audible, old French - prayer?
I now tell you, I watched the swelling diminish, before my very eyes, related after Church yday.
Further, M-E said 'rien malin, rien de mauvais. C'est parti.'
What is there is the small rock lump, no pain, which will now be removed without the complication of last time.
Just made it back to service, Church full, straight from Dover, just as I'd made it down there, setting off straight after teaching on Fri night.
Bit of stop now necessary.
4. Beautiful, fresh-churned beurre brought back, doux and demi-sel :-), along with
3 pât!s, fabrication maison, bien sûr - hare, pheasant, duck. Very special.
5. Email exchanges that would not have happened a year ago.

Stopping there for now.
New Year 2019 - may it be full of good surprises, blessings, garden pleasures, happy hens, wise children, decisions that work, things that come right, pennies that oblige, health that does same - all in all, a New year of New Good.

Pleasures for yesterday
1. Begg for brekkie, cooked by OH
2. Finished my book in the bath - managed 12 this year so reached my one a month target. (this is in addition to all the academic stuff i have to read). I am looking forward to reading for pleasure again when all this is done.
3. caught the train up the line and walked back. Samuel, aged 2, was very entertaining on the train.
4. OH cooked roast pork and the trimmings for dinner. We rarely have pork but he'd cooked it perfectly.
5. Friends joined us for dinner. They had, literally, just got back from their holiday so had brought back a french apple tart for pud.
Happy new year each and every one of you - thank you for your company this year and I look forward to 2019 pleasures.:T xI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year
At home today meandering about doing bits and pieces while DH dismantles his old car.
HM pizza was lunch.
Checked on a plant I’m growing in the green house, it seems happy. I don't think it's what I thought it was...
A quick clean turned into a full on vax, twice.
Christmas Chocolates and cheeky baileys.0
