MHags, Gosh, you've got skippy in you! Well I never, no excuse for being out of season though. Pavlova is for summer, proper pud is for winter!
DD I has also got a Porsche. A Porsche 910 circa 1970! It is a matchbox! Got it!
V Lit the pud last evening and it flamed well. Was eaten with whisky sauce and tum was rubbed! Yous cannot light pavlova!
4 Watched a Goldie last night snoggled up with BoPsie! The Out of Towners. Wobbleades were consumed! On top of pud, there was just enuff room!
3 Set up me acca for the football! Boxing Day always brings a good one! Always remember against Barnsley on Boxing Day 79! Cracker! Norman Hunter sent off and a 3-0 win!
2 Day BoP will be slicing the ham joint for butties and some cake!
Not having one today
BoP is not trimming today!

3 DH spent the day building his lego train, happy days, I don’t think I can better this, a paper plane, a lego train and an automobile.
4 Phone calls of thanks from nephew, and me engrossed in the hogfather.
5 Very happy animals with numerous toys.

2 We forced ourselves out for a walk but really very shattered.

My five for today are;
1) Got up at 6am and had breakfast with son before he left to go walking/camping in the Cairngorms till Friday ( on his own I might add - 38 and I still worry ).
2) Went back to bed, read for a bit then slept till friend phoned me at 10.00.
3) Very chilled day watching tv and knitting.
4) Made Turkey and Rice soup - will freeze individual portions later.
5) Best thing about Boxing Day :j Christmas dinner again with none of the hard work.
And an extra I must add
6) A friend gave me a 2019 bucket list book, it has 12 categories and I had a great hour adding goals to some of the sections. Must remember to keep checking and updating it.
More knitting now while I watch the Torvill and Dean film from last night xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

A day of not much after a rather horrid night vomiting! ( me for a change not the dog!)
Even the dog managed a lie in!
Picked at food throughout day but made pasta with the left over gammon from yesterday and there's still a wee chunk left to make some soup tomorrow.
Snoozed a bit in afternoon then when everyone was out and about I decided to take the big tree down from my family room. This meant I was able ( helpers back in at this point) to move furniture back where it goes! So much happier after that. Moved my huge mirror from living room to family room with the help of son. So happier after that! Moved the real tree out of the living room into the family room so that can stay a few more days! Moved the dining room tree into another corner to get my armchairs back and it can stay a few more days!
Now upstairs trying to tidy as we have the first of our Australian guests arriving tomorrow. Will do bathrooms in the morning after everyone's showered.
DD1 is not a very tidy soul. I must have forgotten!0 -
hope you're feeling better mhags

1) a morning of christmas specials - call the midwife, upstart crow, not going out, hold the sunset and first half of vicar of dibley
2) walked the dogs - picked up 3 discarded plastic bottles and put in recycle, and 20p which i put in my pocket
3) then round to ds's gf's mum's house. we played dixit and linkee (which i kept wanting to call lochee, a part of dundee near to where we were)
4) then a few rounds of sporcle - many rounds i was dire at, but i shone at the bowie lyrics :j
5) then the 2018 big quiz and a nice walk home.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Boxing Day).
1) A lie in!
2) Hens OK.
3) Smaller son and I had a nice drive over to Hereford then watched the football. Hotdogs and hot chocolate but it wasn't too cold today. We lost 1-0.
4) Had a quick dash through Hereford to get to Tesco before it shut at 6 (milk and bread). I quite like the new bit where the cattle market used to be and the decorations were good and there was a mulled wine/open air caf! in the centre.
5) Broccoli cheese for tea using LO gammon, eaten tonight but cooked this morning before we went to the football. Then nice cheese and crackers while we watched MOTD with grapes for smaller son and dates for me.
6) Bigger son swept in just before midnight and I managed to get him upstairs and in the bunk bed using repetition and arm waving and sweeping motions - like I was directing a plane! He had been to the pub with some friends.
7) In bed now with 1hwb with alarm set so bigger son can go climbing tomorrow with my brother and brother in law.0 -
Good Morning,
Frith Bigger Son incident reminds me of the other morning when DS1 had come home the worse for drink and fell asleep while playing on PS4. He was sitting upright on a stool. I had to extracate the controller, then try to wake him enough to go to bed, but without him keeling over onto the floor! :rotfl:
Yesterday
1. Hens let out for a walk around. They were very excited about their breakfast of boiled up Christmas veg peelings and LO sprouts.
2. Almost catatonic all day. No one had lunch.
3. DD sent a link to another music video she has been in. Then we had aFacetime call. She seems happy.
4. DH has been inspired by DD adventures, to relive our youth, and research holidays in India next summer.......Flights are cheap because it is the monsoon :rotfl: And I have idled away some time looking at Airbnb.
5. Defrosted an M&S chicken and had Christmas dinner again. Glad I made a bit of space in the freezer......
6. Popped to Coop for bread after taking DS1 to work. Bought lots of rtc party food, then found £5 note on the floor, on the way back to the car:j (Don't know how long it might have been there, as it was wrapped inside a McDonalds receipt dated 12/12/18. I just noticed a corner sticking out!). Cheap New Years Eve buffet.
7. Found an Easter egg while emptying the present shelf in my wardrobe.......we had HM Snowball cocktails and Easter egg chocolate while watching Vera, then Upstart Crow.......We know how to live it up :rotfl:
Doggie to the vets today for ear op.
Have a lovely day0 -
Boxing Day pleasures,
Capt S changed his mind about having trifle for breakfast  and settled on heated up pigs in blankets in a sandwich.
After the previous day’s laziness it was good to put on coats & boots to take small dog for a good yomp around the fields.
Picked up some Muck Boots for beloved, half price in sale.
Over to see princess pony, caught up with a couple of pals and pampered girlie.
First win for new CUFC manager, let’s hope he’s up to the job.
Watched ABC Murders, hmm, not sure but will persevere.0 -
Bedtime! With the intention of finishing my library book.
We have an overnight Australian guest...she's not quiet!
Little things today ...glueing down the bit of hanging wallpaper in living room. Tidying my larder cupboards. Tidying my baking drawer. Taking down a few more decorations. Think the rest will be done tomorrow.
Putting the mirror that was in family room in living room. Needed the help of the tall son for that one.
Made lentil soup for lunch. Huge pot. Eaten.
Made spag Bol for tea.
Had a nice walk done our woods and round our castle with our Australian.
Popped in to see friends for 15 minutes. Had some dog cuddles.
Enjoying my library book. It's a sequel ...haven't read the first but it was a film so seems a bit familiar.
Stayed dry though dull today.0 -

5) A cheating tea of chicken kievs and LO broccoli cheese.
6) Bigger son is now at games night.
