    Good Morning Peeps,

VJsmum Strange coincidence.....DS1 woke us up at 3:30am as he had forgotten his keys. :(

    Yesterday

    1. Decided to invite people for food tonight, so needed to tidy the dining room. DH has repurposed some shelves from the pantry into the dining room. Then he had to move pictures around. I have reorganised a cupboard. It now looks much more like a dining room. :)

    2. Had bacon butties for breakfast, cheese and ham toasties for lunch and pulled pork for tea.......bit of a theme. :rotfl:

    3. Our treat today was a trip to Costa for hot chocolate. I still have some vouchers from their Christmas competition.

    4. Good woopsies in Mr T and The Emporium. The freezer is stuffed with posh snorkers. We also got a posh beef joint reduced from £23 to £5. It is tiny, but I had to have it :rotfl:

    5. Finished embroidering a Christmas cushion for next year, while watching 96 hours in Jordan and the last of the ABC Murders. Good to see Ron Weasley in something good, rather than Thunderpants :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day :)
  • Victory again! PM2DD we are on a roll! More soon!

4 Was at Vets BrekFest this morning and had scran! Usual mushrooms, scrambled eggs and snorkers. Good turnout and some news was good. Fellow pongo finally let it out about things, which is what we are there for. Support as a group. The banner flag was again flown.

3 Home now and waiting on this St Totteringham Day, the gooners are on soon! More soon!

2 Now as yous knows, BoP was inn town t'otehr nite, saw Holmes & Watson. Very good, so ignore the tomatoes, they're off! Then had curry and a wobbleade inn town!

Having one tonight! More than …

Support is there when we can have scran and natter together!

Evening! Some times ( not often enough to make it a regret) I fancy a bath. No bath so hot shower instead and jim jams on again! Tucked under a blanket on the sofa.

    Up early.
Was dark and wet to start but a good drying wind and a bright sky meant the washing went out. Almost dry.

My daughter ( how I love her , am delighted she's here, enjoying her company) is so not a morning person! So things that could / should be getting done aren't. As literally not enough daylight hours to do it all! Eventually got out around 1pm ( which I call afternoon)

Picked up new specs. Love them. These are supposed to be my spares but may make them my mains. DD1 got her Christmas gift of prescription sunnies and DD2 has ordered 2 pairs which will be her birthday gift!

Late lunch in a new to me restaurant that's now very fancy and popular with prices to match but I remember it as pub back in the pub crawling days of my youth! Very nice though.

DD1 bought ice cream for pud ( it's near the opticians hence we've been every week as we've been at opticians every week!)

Home finished watching The Long Song on catch up. Which I enjoyed . Thought provoking.

Don't need dinner and the boy child who didn't come out can fend for himself! There's a fridge and freezer and cupboards!
  • Hi, I've had a really nice day today and here's my five pleasures.

    1) Phone call at 8.20 from son to say he was popping in at 9 :eek:for a coffee before he leaves to travel down South. Mad rush to have a shower and get ready. Lovely blether and coffee.

    2) Walking friend arrived as arranged for a walk at 10.15. Sunny and windy - a lovely day for a walk.

    3) Washed the towels and while waiting to hang them out I made a big pot of turkey curry (to freeze) and a country turkey pie for dinner ( turkey and veg in a white sauce covered with mashed potatoes with egg and flour in them). Turkey now all finished.

    4) 1.30 got the bus to a nearby town to buy some bits and pieces. Kept to my list but also bought a book from Waterstones - as I had a gift card I only had to pay £1.

    5) Just going to make a cup of tea and put on The Post dvd that was a Christmas present.

I'm sad that I won't see son again for several months but it's still been a lovely day xx
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )
  • 1 We popped out locally and picked up a couple of things from a CS a toy make it yourself 4x4 for a pound and cuddly toy for the animals another pound. I picked up a bright jumper at 50 percent off and it looked far better on for a change.
2 We called in at Lidl and all will never be the same again, our local lidl and aldi are now taking part in a no food waste scheme and doing “proper reductions”, we called in at Mr T and also picked up a couple of rtc’s mince for animals, sausages for us and 10p galaxy cakes being scoffed now.
3 Half price dress also turned up today and looks great.
4 Picked up a very purple, very me diary for a whole pound.
5 Remembered to take pork joint out for new years day.

    Pleasures for today (Saturday).

    1) A lie in.

    2) Went to floody city to see my college friend for a cup of tea in the cathedral.

    3) Then met up with bigger son (who had been cycling around waiting for me) and he bought a new coat.

    4) Beans on toast for lunch and chicken fajitas for tea.

    5) Have been reading since I got home (always happens when I get stuck in a new book). Have just finished Eleanor Oliphant so not bad for 12 hours reading!

    6) In bed with 1hwb and will listen to the radio.

    Good Morning,

Saturday was exhausting after days of slobbing about.....

    1. Doggy is brighter day by day. She is finding new and inventive ways to eat the treat and leave the tablet. Always a good game :rotfl:

    2. Trip to two National Trust houses with friends. Nice amble around. One of my classes will be doing the Tudors next term, so got some inspiration. Took photos of home made Christmas decorations remenicent of the First Christmas after the First World War. A nice day out.

    3. Morning coffee and lunch in the NT Cafe. Took our own scones.....nobody noticed :rotfl:

    4. Everyone back to ours for food. Started making Biryani before we went out. assembled and cooked it when we got back. Christmas pudding for afters. :D

    5. Beautiful skies as the sun set.

    Have a lovely day :)

    Saturday pleasures,

Rough night due to onslaught of UTI so the pleasure of going back to bed after breakfast, especially as it was made up with the oldest but softest/cosiest sheets so easy to snuggle back down.

When I finally got up and looked down the landing there was a little furry face staring at me from the top step of the stairs, apparently small dog had been waiting a while.

    Drinking lots of water!

Got over to see princess pony, she’d been left in her turnout rug so was hot, whipped it off and helped her get to all those pesky itchy spots.

Didn’t feel up to cooking so Capt S popped out for a sneaky takeaway.

Hope you feel better soon, Lainey

what lovely days everyone is having.

Yesterday started out not so well, with DS tapping on my bedroom window at 4.30 because he'd left his jacket with his keys in, in a club.. he then proceeded to spend the next hour and a half throwing up.. (luckily all contained in the loo)

At 6 i gave up on sleep and went downstairs

    1. Watched bridget jones's baby on Netflix
    2. Ate the last of the sticky toffee pudding for breakfast :rotfl:
    3. train to ICT - did three assignment marking. Train was fine, totally uncrowded
    4. Had DD's leftover beetroot bomb (that she had had for tea the previous night, but didn't like) on a wrap for lunch and a cheese omelette and salad for tea
    5. A circuit by the sea in ICT and then watched Dumplin' on Netflix. Fabulous. OH turned up at 10.30.

    Have a relaxing day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
