Sorry for the poorlies, get well now

Evening all - things have been subdued with me lately as the anniversaries of both mum and dad's passing has been in the last few days.

So, time for a few pleasures from recent days

    1. Putting up my christmas tree with all it's special decorations bought from various holidays and outings
    2. nice food over the weekend - chicken tagine, cheese and lentil loaf and beef bourguigonne.
    3. MiL came for the weekend and it wasn't too terrible, though her memory is getting worse
    4. Laughing [STRIKE]at[/STRIKE] with her when she asked OH if he knew the name of a pub she'd gone to when she was pregnant with him..... :rotfl:
    5. My boy came home and his wallet that he thought was stolen was merely lost
    6. Washing nearly dried on the line
    7. taking MiL home today on the train wasn't too traumatic
    8. comedy bus driver - so stroppy and when a woman complained he shut the bus doors with a 'bye bye' and drove off.... :rotfl:
    9. Got some chores done in town
    10. DD wrapped a batch of christmas presents.
    11. nice bath yesterday with Death and nightingales

    Have a nice evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) What a busy morning! Man came to replace the panel in the new front door (they fitted it with the wrong colour) and also replaced the bathroom window handle. 2 freecycle people came to pick up a bit of DIY equipment and also a large bag of frozen sloes!

Tidied, 2 loads of washing, fed hens, painted the window wall of the kitchen again... Wrapped presents and posted EBay sale.

    3) Went to my brothers for lunch then mum and dad got back from the pub (!) and I gave mum her birthday presents.

    4) Off to local farm suppliers that has everything you might ever need and bought white gloss and 2 small brushes.

    5) Smaller son and I went to Sainsburys.

    6) Bigger son has bought a new pushbike and is very excited about that.

    7) Have spent the evening watching TV in bed after cleaning down the woodwork ready for glossing tomorrow.
  • 1 A rather lazy day, but birds fed and washing on and it was underway
2 A snorkers roll for lunch, and easy early omelette.
3 Charity sleighs run all evening, it takes a very long time as its not local to us at all, but it’s festive and we get to s
4 Nice to be home and seeing our lights as we pulled into the driveway.
    5 Animals happy.

    Good Morning,

Woke up and started fretting about going back to work.......so here I am at 4am :(

    Yesterday

    1. Plumber and electrician and builder came over, so glad I was home to let them all in!

    2. Ventured out to Lidl for food. Also got some Christmas food. Used a £5 off voucher for the last time :(

    3. Big snooze when I got home, coz shopping is the biggest thing I have done for over a week :rotfl:

    4. Meatballs and mash and gravy for tea.

    5. Vera and bedtime.

Catch 22 moment at the Doctors to enquire about a Doctors note.......Treated like I am stupid, even though I have certificates that say I am not / Told they didn't do them anymore / can't have one coz I did not go to the Doctors while I was ill / can have a private note, but it costs £20 :rotfl:.......school have asked me to get a note / didn't go while I was ill coz you are advised not to / the walk-in centre was closed due to the number of patients/ will probably end up paying £20  Sigh :(

    Have a lovely day :)

    1. Little traffic today so not too bad a drive.

    2. Agreed to see someone whose appointing been cancelled without telling him. He was pleased and didn't make me run too late. Had to ask someone else to come back next week as didn't have the correct equipment.

    3. A friend is slowly recovering from a chest infection.

    4. Some ironing done. The pile looks less daunting now.

    5. One of DS2 friends came to spend the night after they had been in London all day. He is happy and lives abroad and is working in Dubai
    For two weeks over Christmas.

Hugs VJsMum, tough time for you x

Had a stomach upset the last few days so pleasures few and far between but here goes.

My little dogs constant attention and concern, going so far as sitting outside the toilet door on my numerous visits, that’s devotion for you!

Lots of reading done, am now on The Coffin Path by K Clements, love a ghost story at this time of year.

Am also enjoying Death and Nightingales

Visited my equine girlie, she had been moved on to her winter paddock so had come in with a food baby :rotfl: so sleepy cuddles.

A little fish and potatoes for supper, they hung on in there :j

    Pleasures for yesterday:
    1) Work is ticking over and...less than 2 weeks til we break up for Xmas!!!
    2) Went back to CrossFit after a couple of weeks (probably more!) away. Felt really really weak. Did part of it only lifting the bar and was nearly sick when I got off the rower for the final time but the pleasure is...I went!
    3) Supper - grilled a couple of veggie sausages, chopped them into a defrosted reheated HM smoky bean and lentil soup and squeezed over some lime juice. Yum!
    4) Came home and decided on No Electronics. Managed to read my book club book - The Alice Network - for three hours in bed, smelly candle, cup of tea.
    5) Got over 9 hours sleep!
  • Don’t bother with this emporium. I’m herding to the man cave.

Visit done. Going for lunch inn a while. Then air chariot.

Was expecting tax man to rob me blind this morning. But he’s doing it tomorrow. He has emailed about January. Oh bu99er.

:heartpuls to the unwell and others. Only 98 days until SAN Francisco.
  • 1 Not a pleasure I woke up very early in a lot of back pain, I got up and have a day of strong painkillers ahead, but they have kicked in a bit and I’m trying to keep moving, I was hoping to exercise tonight but that may have to wait a week.
2 I’m pleased I was able to get on with painting and was really happy to see the difference a new lick of paint makes so the bathroom and part of the kitchen ceiling is done, waiting for the bathroom to dry as next is the wall colour.
3 I did some bank stuff.
4 Spent a fair bit of time emptying and organising the freezer to cycle round the last of dads food and create the festive treats area.
5 Mushed 3 leftover things together and called it a curry as I did turmeric rice to go with it.
