DH & I Finished the Goulash soup with boiled rice - scrummy

I cooked Pork chop, mash & green beans for DSis which she polished off with gusto:D

Seeing how happy DH & DSis were when I surprised them with bacon sandwiches for lunch :D

Have enjoyed reading ‘Tales of NYC, Las Vegas & Boston’ - all places I have been lucky enough to visit - brought back wonderful memories :)

    1. Managed to book time off that I want. Need to book 2 more days before April.

    2. A work experience student who was interested. Doesn't always happen.

    3. Talking this evening with DS2 and his for and DH. The candles were lit and it was very relaxing.

    4. Enjoying my book.

    5. The sky was a lovely colour when I drove to work.

    Wednesday pleasures,

A heron flying across the field next to the cottage, might have been heading towards the local nature reserve.

A sunny day so no need to switch the heating on until it had gone down.

Made arrangements to catch up with my DSIL next week.

    Cuddles with my pony.

Getting worried as it was apparent from the amount of sirens, blue lights and queuing on the bypass that there had been an accident, so mightily relieved when Capt S pulled on to the drive, heard later that 4 car smash up but thankfully no-one hurt.

    Morning all

Glad you had a lovely time, Mhags, hope you continue to, BoP

    hugs to the poorlies.

    Pleasures for Monday

    1. took MiL home on the train and bus. people were really helpful getting her on and off the train that has a HUGE "mind the gap"
    2. Very surly bus driver had me :rotfl: One woman was complaining he hadn't stopped where she wanted him to. he closed the doors on her saying "bye bye" and drove off :p:rotfl:
    3. Getting back to my house with it's christmas tree and lights and no-one in it...
    4. OH cooked dinner and used up some bits that needed using
    5. Banked....

    And Tuesday

    1. Early walk to the train. We looked like refugees in search of christmas. I had a couple of bags of presents and OH had a tree and bag full of decorations :rotfl:
    2. Breakfast on the train - egg and rosti.
    3. Lunch with siblings - it was really good to catch up and we have to put effort in now mum and dad are gone.
    4. Train to SiL's to deliver tree and presents and decs. she cooked us dinner and the walk through Oxford in the dark to her house was lovely. Really atmospheric
    5. Going home to my tidy- ish house. SiL's was the dirtiest most cluttered untidy house I have seen in decades.... Mine is a palace in comparison.
    6. (claiming the banked one) DS has come home for christmas.

    And yesterday

    1. really good yoga class. I must have put my all into it as I ache today
    2. Lunch with former colleagues (escape committee) lovely to catch up with them even if the food was poor to average.
    3. Begg for tea. cooked by OH
    4. Actually managed to do some work around all this socialising
    5. Banked...

Off for yet another lunch today - with friends who have come up from Kent. Then i'm off to ICT for a couple of days
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Good Morning,

I have decided that it is foolish to try to go back to work before Monday. I feel better for making that decision. However, still not got a note from the Doctors. The receptionists don't seem to understand what I need. :( I can't possibly be the only person who needs one! The doctor will ring me later.....sigh.

    Yesterday

    1. Stayed home in the warm.

    2. Made Nigel Sater Goulash recipe from LO pork. (Thanks for the inspiration Mrs SD). Good winter warmer.

    3. Photos and videos from DD.

    4. Managed to watch some Day time tv in between sleeps. This is the busiest I have been for days :rotfl:

    5. Vera, Ugly House, logs on the fire then bed.

We have tickets for a Christmas concert on Friday. My goal is to be well enough to go.

    Have a lovely day :)
  • HE We passed the Bar of Oysters, and the Hennessy as well, but it was recommended we did the Bell in Hand. Had a great time. Yet again a reason to go on your own, with BoPsie. We do our own thing. That way we got to see a dress rehearsal for the re-enactment of the meeting that led to the Tea party in the south meeting house. The walking group tour on Saturday were shown Paul Reveres house, but did not venture inside like we did. Oh and the trolley bus thing, we saw that while supping the blonde and the dog inn the Bell in Hand. It was a distance away from meeting the locals!

No pleasures today, robbed by the taxman and back at mill.

    Normal disservice resumes tomorrow.
