  • 1 I was inspired, by not being able to find anything to continue clearing, que emptying 2 drawers to the bed and being ruthless who needs that many tops that they don’t know what is there and tried not to look twice at what I was moving on. Still plenty to do.
2 Shopped from the freezer a pre-batch cooked chilli con carne is a winner I’m pleased.
3 I’ve started on Christmas decorations, DH had to decorate the car for a voluntary charity sleigh pull and I started decorating the windows which also meant cleaning them first. I’m trying to keep in the mood, but I admit losing dad last Christmas is rather close in my mind.
4 Back from a voluntary meet at a caf!.
5 Paperwork done well er filed in the bin.

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Took sons to school/college and remembered to take the biscuit tins back that the catering department keep lending us for smaller son to take his creations home - we had accumulated 4!

    3) Went to Morrisons (first time ever!) as the Waitrose lady had told me they sell gingerbread houses and I buy one for my mum's birthday every year. Got some shopping so plenty of food in now.

    4) Went to B and Q afterwards for kitchen paint and rat poison.

    5) Made meatballs ready for tea and lots for the freezer. Did various jobs round the house including 4th and hopefully final coat of paint on the new plaster in the living room.

    6) Fed the hens and did a little bit of rat "deterring"...

    7) Set off to see my friend and I wish someone had been with me to see my powers in action! :-D One mile down the road there was a sheep loose so I stopped the traffic following me, parked the car at a 45 degree angle at the gate of the field, opened the gate, shooed the other sheep away, did the silly sheep clicking and "come oooon" noise and put her in the field, got in car and drove on! (That's what comes of growing up on a farm - I can also tell you it was hefty, pregnant Suffolk Cross!).

    8) Met my friend for a cup of tea.

    9) Lit the fire once home for maximum enjoyment of I'm a Celebrity. Also had a cup of tea and some stollen.

    10) In bed with 1hwb and might watch Holby.

    Good morning,

Well done on the sheep wrangling Frith.

    1. Another day in the sofa nest. Think Big Bird from Seseme Street! ( Although, I think I probably look more like DM in 'her place' on the sofa, surrounded by her accoutrements.......especially as I have finished renovating her sewing box. I have filled it with quilting threads, but DM used it to store paperwork :rotfl:).

    2. Buttercup syrup and honey and lemon.

    3. Binge watching Kirsty's Christmas Craft programmes.

    4. Made spaghetti Bolognaise for tea.

    5. Watched another posh hotel programme and a Vera.

I have said I will go back to work today, but still feeling poorly. Ho hum.

Hope you are all staying warm and well :).

Goodness, already a not-a-mint After 8, bells only.
Will I manage this quickly from mob. and lazy bed?
Prob. not, but here goes n!anmoins:

    1. Bonus! Understood much of bop's post! :-), particularly nodded re: the £50 ceiling on presents to teachers!!! Heard that on R4, bop, disbelief dial spinning ooc. Since when did that start? Seems that such o/l giftiness is increasingly a creeping strings-attached signifier of parental pressure. Social media may otherwise become involved.
Ye gods! Can imagine length of shrift:NIL, that would've emanated from your mum, bop:-)

    2. Several hours sorting 2 crates of & crimbo marmalade and ditto h-g grape jelly into Church. All jars mob-bonneted(vaguely suitable fabric chosen, circles cut), tied down, + extra ribbon curled, labels produced blahdiblah, all glued on. Takes hours. Although & is aware this must seem fibby unlikely, tisn't. All labels include Mugumu Safe House+why.
Suggested Amount sign still to do, also take the 8 litres of &'s Special: h-g Vine'n'Vod Winter Belter.
It's a stonking brew and should be, too - &'s Secret Recipe. Guaranteed to cure everything before you catch anything:-)
Filtering, pouring, filling, sealing,, slight spillages licked :-)....mmm, then (maybe unwisely)driving to Town of Horse. Nah nah, didn't spill that much:-)

    3. Scrubbies and cleanies from emporium, as per list(well done &)and On Special, as were the last 6 squares of crimbo tiffin....£2!!!, rtc 19p. Emporium naughties prices are generally prohibitive+silly. Rtc is the only time & buys. Also, plumduff55 - every emporium still does free drink with purchase. Nothing has changed. &haggles happily, esp. on meat/fish//bakery. Most handed on.
Please do investigate, challenge, report back:-)

    4. Tkmaxxd 2 games for vicarage crimbo. Something Awkward Truth-y, other Charades-y, both clearly fun and quickly understandable. No Catan, Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens - turns out they're already on hand:-)

    5. Fingers crossed for a better Spits tmrw(prep. after this), also for mid-range Lots in pre-crimbo antiques auction.

Good Phil Drabbling, Frith , which doubtless shows how long it is since & had working tv. As per posts passim, one has mouldered new, unused in box, as does £276 laptop still, bought for NZ, 2 trips back - they don't work here.
    Unmissed by &.

Happy day of Woden to all.
Be snugged and nested as necessary, ill ones, no guilt.

    1. Great PT session yesterday. Was feeling soooo tired from work so we mostly did core work and stretching and some very light lifting. Am still sore today.
    2. Recognition at work for fixing a mess someone else created on another project
    3. First coat of my bedroom paint - 'borrowed light' by farrow and ball - looks great!!
    4. BOOK CLUB - so many laughs, wayyy too much wine, lovely nibbles!
    5. Watching the Marvellous Mrs. Maisel and drinking a naughty maple old fashioned as a nightcap.

    Anti-pleasures

    1. Waking up at 3.30am, still wearing my coat, TV blaring, sat in a chair.
    2. Then, after transferring to my bed, waking up at 6.30 in my jeans.
    3. Having to present on company strategy to 10 people at 10am whilst trying not to think about how sick I felt.

What do you want, a badge or a star?

V Fortunately the rate will be good next Wednesday when the BoP Tour ends. Keep yous eyes peeled for BoP Tour Live coming soon.

4 Fed Raffles last evening and he was very desperate for his proper foods as well. Put his goat and toad into his dish on the stool and he was in nose bagging. No need to choip it up, and … This is what a decent food detection system does. Not as bad as our first Monty years ago, but he has no taste for marmite!

3 Talking of cats, I see that scientist have found a new way to skin a cat. Well not really, and you should not try this at home because you are likely to be scratched. No, but they is looking at the flexibility of the cat skin in going from thick to thin and if they could use this elsewhere! Could really be the next rubber band type shock absorber? Check out auxetic material on the duck duck go site. Please use duck duck go as it does not track you like that goggles eyes place!

2 Nite, well nearly ready to fill his case, and we fortunately has finded her clothes to wear. BoP will pack one pair of kegs, turning them around come SunDae! No actually BoP knows how to bag and pack and you will notice if yous watch at the gate, should his bag be checked, note falls out! Unlike the squashed down peopes whos bags explode when opened!

Now yous are interested how this is done? Not tellings you!

You roll your clothes up singularly tightly, including your smalls. That way you fit everything into the one case. Then they do not get crumpled aither.

Have one today, xmas is getting closer.

Dash it, we are going to run

AmpersandSince May 2018 there are no free teas or coffees in the cafe only takeaway tea and coffee is free with a purchase. The cafe do discounted cakes with your full price tea but more often than not there are none left by late morning. Would be interesting to know if it's different in other areas of the country xx ps I'm guessing by emporium you mean Waitrose
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )
