  • My five for today are;

    1) I had a better sleep last night and was up at 6.30.

    2) Did housework this morning and washed the bedding - great to be able to hang the sheets outside to dry. Although still damp theyre airing on radiator rack now.

    3) Packed my case this afternoon. Happy to see it only weighed 10 kg - I'll bet it's heavier coming home :).

    4) Went to the knitting group this afternoon - I've missed a couple of weeks so was nice to see the girls.

    5) After knitting I spent an hour in the garden raking up all the leaves. The trees are bare now so won't need to do that again.

Can't get into my knitting just now so just watching tv xx

I hope your DH goes on OK, Suffolksue.

Everyone is going away! Talking of the US, got the round robin from my aunty M yesterday (mum's sister - moved to the US in the 1960s). My cousin's son, who I think of as being about 6, has had his Bar Mitzvah this year. My cousin is now a judge!!

    Pleasures for today (Thursday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Another good go at painting the kitchen. A second coat for the 3 walls. Just got to move the washing machine tomorrow and do the fourth wall. And then some sanding. And then some glossing...

    3) Sent postal and overseas Christmas cards.

    4) Planted 100 bulbs - about half here and half on the allotment.

    5) Hens well and 3 eggs today.

    6) Sardines on toast for lunch.

    7) Tidying and Ebaying stuff. There will come a point, mid-December, when this house will be pretty much painted, tidied and all the cupboards turned out!

    8) Smaller son and I had tea in Sainsburys.

    9) Watched I'm a Celebrity.

    10) In bed with 1hwb and about to watch Ambulance.
  • D4V, cheers, I know what you mean.:)

1 I didn’t want to shop but we needed a set of lights for our half tree, so B and M it was, we don’t have one to close so popped over the bridge but ended up doing various bits and bobs, followed by swearing off shops as quite frankly when it came to people it wasn’t pleasant.
    2 Sent of Christmas parcels.
3 Candles burning and smelling amazing.
4 Washing up to date briefly.
5 Fun and games playing with baby animals.

    Thursday pleasures,

Sad to see him go but DSS moved into his new flat, he did strip his bed before he went so perhaps something has stuck :D

A winter decoration on mantlepiece in dining room.

Heard that youngest DSS is down this weekend to check out his brothers new pad so arrangements made for a meal on saturday night.

Horse girlie was a little star, first time she has been in the school when it’s getting dark and what with birds flying home to roost and bushes waving in the wind it was quite scary but she stood her ground and, with reassurance, moved on.

Snorker casserole for tea and quiet evening in front of tv.
  • We’re on the sky chariot.

    More later v
