Well, I does work at the mill!

Bit rushed in YestDay, so not had seen much goings on inn the parish. Now court up withs yous ramblings! Jenny sends out a :heartpuls to the needy and others. Now what is going on with some of the foods! Mushroom and tomato soup for lunch. BoP needs a packed lunch box, not some instant cuppa thing. I could not survive on that! Avoid!

Snorkers. That’s proper food and good for yous. Just like fish and chips! Kedgeree. Good on yous. Proper food!

Xmas tea. Oh dear, you realise that if you say these words in November Santa has to execute another elf. Dear me!

Cloth cap. Oh no, I fear that a whippet is coming to the parish? I dare to think of the wobbleade glass. Proper wobbleade glass is a straight. Only people from Kingston and the East Riding have handles on their wobbleade glass, to tie whippet to. This is so whippet can look after the glass while they have a visit to the heads.

Ah chants at the footie. Minds me of the mobile terrace some seasons ago. One of the mens young lad would not stand with us, but stand five foot in front! We would use comical phrases that mother would approve after consideration. One match when an opponent was rightfully up ended, he repeated one of our phrases questioning her gender and the time to dig a hole. He turned around wanting appreciation as it was the first time he had uttered such references so eloquently. He saw us all shaking no, wasn’t me guv’nor! Needless to say he joined the group on the terrace with that remark!

V Inn the gym last night getting beach ready for San Francisco . More later, but the Tea Party is thirst. More BoP Tour live coming up!

4 I know. Good to see a decent turnout after the Vet Breakfast call last week in North Bristol. That is proper family. You never leave!

3 Not a packed lunch box of difference today so see BoPiness passim. As for tea, yous nose BoP did proper chicken tikka on Sunday. Well the second helping that is maturing is ready to roll this very evening. Will be served with proper sticky rice, from long grains and not that carp basmati. Fridgies Bitsers with Chili sauce. Good for you topped with toms! Raffles will be cleaning up the bowls of Strawbs and Berries, with meringue and vendetta ice cream things. Last night he was so rushed to get at BoPsie’s bowl!

Did you know that the BashNutta rice is mostly long grain, but put in a shiny packet to fleece you of more dough? AVOID! Just like the bees wax paper bags for your cream cheese bagel at lunch. At £19.99 I thinks not, and use me buttie box instead! AVOID!

2 Night BoP will be inn his pjs. It is cold this time of year.

Another day at mill and I thinks I have slipped in another term that will stump a few!
Go your way now and make others happy!
  • Hi, Back in the land of the living 🤒. Didn't post last night as I was lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself but feeling much better today. My five pleasures are;

    1) Woke up with a sore throat but still loads better than yesterday.

    2) After a slow start I went to my sewing room and finished another Christmas stocking before lunch.

    3) Didn't really feel like going for my usual Tuesday walk but was very glad I forced myself to go. It was cold but sunny and breezy and felt good to get some fresh air.

    4) I phoned Mum to cancel my visit so she would not catch my cold but she was actually worse than me. So I went to pharmacy to buy some cold relief meds for her only to discover she couldn't have any as she has Hypertension. Anyway, visited Mum and had a good chat even if it was frequently interrupted by our bouts of coughing 🤭.

    5) I made Hot Chilli soup for dinner and had Rhubarb Crumble (from the freezer) and custard for pudding.

    Enjoying watching tv tonight xx

Dropped a bag of donations at cs :) - think it may be the last this year :(

Managed to get almost everything on my list :T

DH was very happy - motorbike passed its MOT & he got to have a fried breakfast & treated himself to a new pair of bike boots :)

No cooking :D as DH ordered curry for dinner - yummy - Even bigger pleasure is that there is enough for tomorrow night’s dinner :T

    Bedtime.

Plasterer chap said he'd come at 9.30 that would be 10.15am ' just a breakdown in communication!' Apparently! He'll be back tomorrow.

Went to my mothers. So much clutter. It distresses me. Ironed and did dishes.

Walked to T got a RTC loaf .

An afternoon of pottering / wee snooze.

    Pasta for tea.

    Chat with friend on phone.

Thankful my DD's school is now over the road and I didn't have to walk 6 miles on the school run in the pouting rain like last winter.

Padded out shepherds pie with lentils. No one noticed the taste or texture but it was dry so more sauce before adding to the oven next time.

Finished knitting a sleeve for my sweater.

Ordered liver to try to learn to like the taste/texture and appreciate more of the animal while keeping a hold of my shopping budget. Choosing liver has enabled me to buy organic. Something has to give.

Here's a weird happening I'd like to run past readers, if I may...

I told smaller son's school yesterday that a home visit would not be appropriate as the house is having various works done and all the contents of the shed are in the living room (also, I don't want them snooping round my house anyway!)

Had an email about 9am saying OK, let me know when you would like to come in for a meeting. I did not reply to that as I was taking smaller son to school/getting his catering exam stuff/seeing my dad (his birthday) etc.

Smaller son got home before me today. He immediately phoned me up in a panic as TWO TEACHERS had been round and left a note in my front door saying to ring "about my concerns". Smaller son had no idea I had any concerns and now has concerns of his own! I can't believe how badly they are handling things, after my complaining that they were.... handling things badly. Am I being oversensitive in thinking teachers shouldn't just turn up unannounced on your doorstep expecting an instant meeting? They're not the police!

    Anyway, my pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens OK this morning.

    3) Had a chat with the fishmonger at Sainsburys about smaller son's catering exam.

    4) Went to see my dad for his birthday.

    5) Went into town and did the charity shops (though bought nothing).

    6) Met my school friend for a cup of tea.

    7) Sainsbury's delivery - hoorah! Should be 15 dinner's worth of food there. (Or the bulk thereof).

    8) Watched I'm a Celebrity.

    9) In bed with 1hwb and will watch the ambulance/999 thing.

    Good Morning Peeps,

    SSue U3A sounds interesting.

FrithThe only time we have done home visits, unannounced, is when doing a 'safe and well' visit for long term absence.

    Yesterday

    1. Finished the Iron Age round houses. Straw roofs. The cleaner will not be happy :rotfl:

    2. Afternoon class got a bit over excited :rotfl: TAs were not impressed. :rotfl:

    3. Little girl in afternoon class, who is very autistic, came and sat on my knee and arranged my hair. It is still a bit blue from Halloween, so it may have attracted her attention. :)

    4. Fajitas for tea. Did not eat until 8pm, as had to take DS1 to work in the middle of cooking!

    5. The little Drummer Girl......confusing, but just about keeping up:o

    Have a lovely day :)
