Christmas tea blend will now be on my radar. :D

    Mrs SD what are snorkers?

    1) continued with my knitted sweater

    2) Made a roast dinner

    3) leftovers for DH's lunch tomorrow

    4) children prefer frozen broccoli to fresh and have requested more frozen vegetables. While I'm happy they've found some veg they like that is acceptable to food stocks and purse strings, I do have an allotment so this will be another case of not pandering to my children's wishes. Eat it or starve kids. :D I've sensible, grounded, funny, 14 and 10 year so that stance is a proven winner so far!

    5) Finally I'm embracing porridge of a morning. It has to be sloppy and contain honey though. Something else I need to work on.

    G'night. :)

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens well this morning.

    3) Smaller son had a day at school which passed without incident.

    4) Bigger son went to work then went with my brother to collect the new shed.

    5) I took bigger son's Spiderman outfit back to the shop then went to see my great aunt for lunch.

    6) Got home and bigger son and I spent about 2 hours putting the shed up (in the dark, wind and freezing rain!) It is technically up now but comes with inside panelling and electrics that he will fit on Wednesday.

    7) Enjoyed I'm a Celebrity.

Had a really weird email from bigger son's school today. They were phoning my mobile but I ignored them when I was driving or talking to my aunty. Then at midday, had an email mentioning that she had tried to phone (and I quote) "I will pop out and do a home visit this afternoon after school" - well, no you won't! What a bloody cheek.

    Good morning.

Well Monday night passed in a blur of sleeping on the sofa! Then being wide awake once I came up to bed!

I went into work to help with the close down of event. An extra 6 hours wage that will pay for my haircut/colour in a couple of weeks.

As I walked down I saw a few squirrels, had a nice chat with an older lady and just thought what a marvellous place to have so close to where I live.

There was no glamour in what I was doing but I had the radio on my phone , had a free late lunch and good banter back and forth.

Home. Candles lit. Home all cosy. Welcome from my dog. Hot shower and jammies on.

Made a chicken and veg pasta dish for tea.

    Snooooooooozed.

    Monday pleasures,

Most importantly a slight improvement in small dog, she seemed a little more like her normal self :T

Popped out to farm shop and visited their C barn, picked up a couple of tree decorations as I like to add a couple of new each year.

    Mushroom soup for lunch.

Over to yard, lots of cuddles with madam, cosy in her stable with her,

Monday quiz night so little grey cells exercised by Only Connect and Uni Challenge.
  • Mine for yesterday:

    1. Little bit of a lie-in and a relaxed morning.

    2. Out by 11.00am for my Charity Shop shift - took a HM Roast Pork Salad for lunch to save having to buy something while I was out :j.

    3. Visit to A$da - for a quick whoopsie hunt :T.

    4. Evening Meal of Steak Pie (Pukka for OH and Gluten Free for me), Actifry Chips and HM Mushy Peas. Another 'tub for 2' of the peas was put into the freezer :T.

    5. Feet up on sofa with Emmerdale, Coronation Street x 2 and Vera - perfect end to a good day ;) :j!
