Happy Birthday from me too BoP :bdaycake:

I feel like I'm going a bit 'Good Life' being as we live in a modern house on an estate :rotfl::rotfl:

HC Good Morning from the woman who thinks she's in the Archers......in the centre of Birmingham :rotfl:

    Monday

    1. First day back. Training day. I am very interested in the subject, so enjoyed the day.

    2. More of my Poppy display put up.

    3. DS2 thinks he did well in his English retake. :j He is Dyslexic.

    4. Watching the Little Drummer Girl with HM pineapple upside down cake and custard.

    5. Woke up at 4:30am and decided to make some salt dough for today's classes to make their poppies. Will be much more fun than my original ideas. :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day :)

:rotfl: All power to us!

((Hugs)) Frith, hope smaller son copes ok with the isolation and it's not too tough for you

Got a rotten cold so didn't do much yesterday, but here are my 5:

    - Garden looking good

    - Got a big bag of RTC carrots (I'm easily pleased :rotfl:)

    - Landfill waste bin collection today and I don't need to put the bin out, so that'll be 6 weeks between collections too, but creating 2 wheelie bins of rubbish every 6 weeks when there are only 2 of us is still pretty awful - but we're moving in the right direction (I think of the recycling as rubbish too now, not sure how much actually ends up recycled :()

    - I can't lie, the majority of the rubbish we put in the landfill bin now seems to be bagged poo from our 3 dogs, not sure the best way to tackle that - we used to have a chemical 'loo' to put it in but I didn't get it to work properly and it smelled just with one dog, so we abandoned it abut 10 years ago and I've filled it in and the compost bin is now where it was, but I do need to look for another solution - but can't have anything smelly or which might be unhygienic in a small garden surrounded by other houses and gardens...

    - The kettle's just boiled so I'm going to make a coffee :D

    Monday pleasures,

Mild, dry day so no need for heavy coat.

Did a stock shop and made use of some coupons.

Visit to the physio, it was painful but he has given me some more exercises to hopefully strengthen the joint.

Got over to see PP, too sore to ride so gave her a pamper which she thoroughly enjoyed.

My beloved is relishing his new role.
  • V Just read that as I like to be up with the sparrows, I am less likely to catch some breast cancer.
There, you need to know that! Also I read that some super mummies, and one in my rag, suggest that we should not be vaccinated. Poor thing, probably never had mumps like BoP. Eighteen months to aged 7 I was not very well! Still, she claims that measles is not too bad either. Girls at my school got the jab for measles. Big Sis got a new BF years back when I had to check on her, and introduced him.
Oh, this is Chaz, he’s got measles, but its ok you had it when you were young. Eh not! At 23 it was not nice I can tell you!

Why am I writing this bull fors yous lot today. Well we has a super mummy who did not get measles, or mumps as a child because her mother thought about her wellbeing. Now she is so clever, that because she did not have it, that others should not be vaccinated?

Now why is it that BoP get his flu jab every year?

It is ok, really I don’t need it do I.

No, if I get the flu it would probably finish BoP off!

That is why I have the flu jab

    100

    60,000,000

    No Spitting on the bus?

When the guns went silent, it was Influenza that reaped its flock.
    So we should vaccinate!

4 Went out for a misteak last night. Fillet, grilled toms and saute mushrooms. No cardbored chips or onion rings. What comes out was steak, chips and onion rings. Foreget it!

3 So I get loads of things and some money on the Tunes of I. Colin Hay downloaded. Proper music and not that dance carp.

PM2DD #UTM. BoP is ever hopeful!

Having one, ooops had it earlier! Minds you last time I mentioned about health record being available, I was trounced! Why, because it measn that should I keel over in another area, they can quickly get my prescriptions, my condition and details of my pacemaker.

France is making it compulsory to be vaccinated to attend skool?
  • Mine for yesterday:

    1. Was still feeling 'shattered' when I woke up, but a shower soon fixed that :j.

    2. Quick visit to local A$DA - Squash, cheapo Lemonade, Crusty Bread for OH to go with his soup, Bananas, Satsumas and bottle of fresh milk ....................... really stuck to my list :j!

    3. Lunch was Cup-a-Soup, Roast Beef Salad (made at home) and a Strawberry Yoghurt - 3 Courses Meal in anybody's language :rotfl:.

    4. Good shift in CS with lots of happy customers buying Tea/Coffee/Toasted Teacakes for warming treats :D.

    5. Evening meal of Split Pea&Ham Soup with Crusty Bread for OH and GF Crackers for me. Did Chicken sandwiches later for supper .

    6. Managed a fairly early night due to being 'absolutely done in'.

    Art'noon

    Been a while

Many happy returns BoP - i, too, had a cheeky slice of cake yesterday..

DD - i have been known to word count after each line

    Pleasures for last whenever

    1. DS was home for a few days.. had some family time: curry out on Saturday, family film on Sunday and a trip to the fireworks yesterday
    2. Winterised the garden - finished oiling garden furniture and bought a cover. OH leaf collected
    3. Made soup
    4. Work going.... OK. my annual review has got through the first stage, with clear evidence that my supervisor didn't bother to read any of the 60,000 words submitted and gave around 30 in feedback (thirty words, not 30,000). Frustrating
    5. House reasonably clean - conservatory left that i will probably do today.

Have a good afternoon / evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

BoP - I’m one of those unfortunate people whose mother only allowed the diphtheria/tetanus/polio vaccine...

Hence catching mumps, whooping cough, chicken pox then being so ill with measles at 15 that I thought I was dying.

Measles wrecks your immune system for 2-3 years so from 15-18 I had scarlet fever, glandular fever then viral meningitis. After the meningitis I weighed 6.5 stones - at 5 foot 7.

Sons have had every vaccination on offer!
  • We still have every vaccination on offer and will do so while we draw breath! prevention is SO much better than cure!

Happy Birthday for yesterday BOP you say it's a treble? are you 100??? ducks and runs.....

    1) Ruby the terrier and her mum came for coffee this morning, I think it's love! she's such a super little dog!

    2) Cinema yesterday to see Bhoemian Rhapsody and we loved it, have always liked the music but actually really enjoyed the film too.

    3) New dining room table and chairs arrived from the BHF at 9.10 this morning and is just right for the space we have and makes the room look 'finished'. Most pleased with it!

    4) Have been invited to visit Ruby (and her mum) for coffee one morning next week, lovely!

    5) It's woodstove day tomorrow and ever after toasty warm toes days!

  • My five for today are;

    1) Promising start to the day with the sun shining and quite breezy so I washed the bedding from the spare bed. Alas by lunchtime the sun and breeze had disappeared. The washing is now airing on the radiators and should be dry by bedtime.

    2) I had a lovely long chat with dgs (8) who is off school with a virus. I hope I cheered him up a bit - he was feeling so sorry for himself.

    3) I went for my weekly Tuesday walk with a friend during her lunch hour. I then went to mums for my weekly tea and Tunnocks tea cake - tasted even better after checking calories and it's just over 100 :)

    4) I used up some very sad looking mushrooms and red pepper and made tuna pasta - I have enough left for lunch tomorrow.

I'm just going to do some knitting and find a film to watch xx
