    Sunday pleasures,

Woke with a start during a bad dream, got up to make a cuppa and pleasure of cuddle with little dog.

Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.

Hack out on princess pony, on our toes due to a stiff breeze but good to be out and about.

Cricket, both on tv and TMS.

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon, sat in a sheltered part of the garden to read, might have had a cheeky little nap :)

Lovely, gentle weekend and sets us up for busy week.
  • 5 Blessings for yesterday:

    1. Church in the morning - more young people than oldies for a change :D - plus we now have our very own 'worship band'. They don't know many songs yet, but really 'getting it together' :j. Lovely friend gve me a lift home so I didn't have to wait for a bus in the rain :T.

    2. Sandwiches for lunch (GF for me) - used up the last of the 'crumbed ham' for OH and ood cheese for me ;)!

    3. Baked some Gluten Free Chocolate Chunk Shortbread - first time of using this recipe. Unfortunately, I left some of them in the oven slightly too long - but still just about edible :o. Will make these again for the Macmillan Coffee Morning - but watch the timings better!

    4. Evening meal of Pork Loin Steak - Baby pots - steamed carrots - steamed cabbage with some celery - gravy. OH a very happy bunny after that lot, but it was HIS turn to do the dishes because I'd cooked the meal :rotfl:.

    5. Found another free Ebook for my Kindle - don't know how many that is now. I DO know that I've only actually 'paid' for two downloads - one by accident for £1.49 (thought it was a freebie) and the other because it was a series of 5 books for 99p :j.

    6. An early night as I'd avoided going for a nap all day - desperate for a 'full night's sleep'!

  • Am new to mse but love this thread, so will dive right in:

    1) Drying washing on the line.
    2) Reserving the books I need from the library, rather than ordering them online. And feeling smug about it.
    3) Discovering a new (and very funny) podcast.
    4) Ticking items off my To Do list.
    5) Finishing off the leftover, homemade rhubarb crumble for lunch.

It so dark so early! Lashing with rain.

Slightly crazy day of here and there and back again.

DD2 had been poorly over the weekend so managed to get a GP appt. parked outside ( have to pay but not well enough to walk big walk from supermarket carpark) were waiting ages so the pleasure was not having a fine when we got back out!

Came home to a demolished kitchen with electrical problems and no sign new kitchen and problems with repositioning of cooker and ....and ...and it went on

Took my dog out a big walk and let the builders deal with stuff. We went blackberry picking.

Then had to attend an appointment with my niece. She kindly picked me up.

The joy of the dog when I returned a couple of hours later .

Tea was a packet of cheese and onion crisps! I know!

The chuckle from the plumber at the wildlife upstairs. Eh? That would be the previously known as bath ducks and now shower ducks I'd taken a photo of for DD1. Had forgotten to move them! New bathroom looking good but the shower screen was broken. Ensuite next , out of necessity . Was not on the to do list. Will be beans on toast once everything's done.
  • 1 I finished the Christmas cake mix it’s now slowly cooking through as I type, it seems different ah well made with what’s in each year so no change there.:o
2 Popped to lidl for this week’s bits and also ferret chicken.
3 I cleaned the caravan fridge cleaned and set up for the next steam fair.
4 A lot of cleaning has gone on today but nothing noticeable. The magpies are playing in the garden however they decided they needed a clothes peg!
5 House hunting, a pleasure to be looking, but the right one isn’t found yet, well I found one at double the price of course.

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Good to get up after a poor sleep.

    2) Did sanding of my polfilla-d holes and bit of loose paintwork so the repainting of the entire interior can continue...

    3) Went to my brother's as it is his birthday today.

    4) Went for a dog walk with my brother. Stayed for lunch - pheasant curry.

    5) Brother's birthday tea at my sister's house.

    6) Watched Reported Missing which was intriguing but very sad.

    7) Smaller son wanted to show me what he had done at school so far this year and his spelling and handwriting have gone on enormously. He only had his own TA in one lesson today.

    Seeing our fox :rotfl:

No cooking - Chinese takeaway for dinner

Watching a new comedy series ‘Future Man’ - hilarious because it is so silly :rotfl:
