    Saturday pleasures,

A rough nights sleep thanks to cough so first pleasure has to be a lie-in.

Lazy morning enjoying tea and toast whilst listening to saturday live on r4.

Clearing up windfalls avoiding wasps........really big wasps.......er think we have some hornets!! Two around the apples, guess pleasure was googling them and reading that they are less ferocious than normal wasps, good because they are big !!!!!!s!

Humid afternoon so pleasure of giving my girlie a bath, she loathes the hose so it takes a long time with a sponge and bucket. She was a good girl but fidgety by the time had finished so abandoned plan to tidy up mane as well.

A meeting of minds at 9pm left me feeling energised and unable to sleep yet so watched the Two Towers, nothing like a good battle to settle you for sleep :D

Congratulations Frith for doing so well at the fete.

Mine for the past few days.

    1. Went to MIL house to show builder round. I tidied some and Decluttered some of her stuff. It was looking tidy but did some cleaning for DS1.
I didn't like the builder but the quote was very high so DH discarded them which was good.

    2. Went by train and then walked round London for a while on my way home. It was good and a quick look at the National Portrait gallery.

    3. In Saturday we all went to nephews 21st birthday. A very enjoyable day. Lots of laughter and drink and garden jenga, connect 4 and croquet were played.
My Aunt and husband were there and it was lovely catching up with them.

    4. Yesterday had a walk round a local garden which was enjoyable.

    5. Spent most of the rest of the day in the gar. No tv til about 9pm.

Good morning Monday! Its my wedding anniversary ...just me to acknowledge it now.

Sunday was a bit productive / a bit Netflix-y! I'm caught up in a drama series but made myself do bits in between!

So all bathrooms are clean, all laundry up to date, all floors were clean, bedding changed, steak pie and roast veg for tea, dog was walked , milk and bread (RTC ) bought .

Went through my wardrobe as I was putting stuff away so took a bag of clothes to the charity bin when we went for bread and milk. Quite a bit was stuff I'd got when my mum was clearing out but I probably would never wear as I haven't already worn any of it. Anyway it's left a bit of room.

Builders today so shall not be caught on hop like I was on Friday!

    Toughie Mhags hugs.

    Sunday pleasures,

Up early with Capt S as he was off to the test match, saw him off and then walked small dog around the field.

Listened to the Archers and caught up on all things Ambridge. Left the radio on and become engrossed in episode of the Reunion, it was about child survivors of the Holocaust, harrowing listening at times and not ashamed to say the tears flowed.

Got myself together and went out to get some carrots for horse girlie, took them over the yard and had field cuddles.

Baked a gammon had got with Mr Sparks voucher, enjoyed some warm in sandwich, little dog might have got some too :D

Evening walk and discovered where the hornets nest is
It seems like the nights are drawing in so quickly now, starting to sort out coats etc for washing, the days march away.
  • V Now what a great pie of mushroom and chicken yesterday, with pan gravy. Now BoP is undecided as there was such a mess making it, that it could be served up with carrots tonight or nasta pasta instead! Such choices. No roulette yet this weak.

4 And talking of proper food, and yes I know I is tellings yous about this weaks packed box of lunch. Jelly with oranges, slice of battenbug cake, two cakes of Jaffa. Raspberries and sour grape. Egg custard tar with bacon and leek. Toms. Good for you! BoPsie is impressed with her Lunch box! Impressive eh what! When BoP was up norff at the Theatre of Fish, we managed to salvage some Batemans wobbleade. We have a fridge full. Cheese is also on the side.

3 Well you all went a celebrated a few weeks back. But is was this last weakened that started to change things over five bob! Yes, five shillings? Eh. The men got the extra bonus of five shillings on the buses a hundred years ago. That started a social trend that was to change things. At Blackfriars, they turned up, some with children, but with sandwiches and lemonade! Eventually they got their five bob, the precedent had been set!

2 Night after eating out at Steels on Saturday afternoon, trimming in the gym later. Mind you cannot beat decent fish and chips!

Having one again today! Looking forward to the vet breakfast again this Saturday. We have a new member, aged 91! Wonder if ignoranus bint will be there this time complain inn at the queue!

That is it from the mill.
