  • Frith. use rule 2365.256 from BoP. never park at supermarket door, always as far away as possible. then the bumpties avoid you!

V Good job the freezer inn BoP palais is full of ice creams, they were on offer, cool. Talking of offers, BoP was inn emporium yesterday to get proper tea bags for mill, the one with the monkey thing! While there, I checked on the biscuits and the cakes of Jaffa. Pack of 33 was not on offer at extortion price. Please avoid!

4 That said, tea bags are now being infused at work and inn BoP’s packed lunch box we has ham salad, home made jelly, remember the aero mouse from last weak was awful, avoid, a penguin and a club! A tangerine as well. Good for you! Raffles was back on his foods this morning as it was cool. BoPsie, of bird feeder thing, her pigeon was back this morning. Boy has he grown since he found BoPsie has a restaurant for him! No greasy Joes!

3 Watched feature on Robert Shaw, him of a season for all things and the shark catcher! Very good, worth seeing!

2 Nite for tea is sardines and salad, it be tooo hot for sardines on toast!

Having one today. Cyclist again flew off in front of BoP from give way cycle lane this morning. I got him on the car cam! Pity he never stopped to see the feature!

Please remember BoP’s advice about the midday sun!

Now that is all your BoPiness for the now, more tomorrow
  • 1) More taken to the bottle bank, the clothing bank and the book bank today, when you start shedding possessions it seems to open a small window in your head that lets you carry on doing it!

    2) Trip to the farm shop for some more apples and a coffee at our favourite vegan restaurant at the old mill.

    3) Al todays cooking is done except for a vry quickly cooked omelette for supper.

    4) Using up the last of last years peas and broad beans and some of last years leeks from the freezer to make soup when it was cooler this morning, early though!

    5) DD1 has got us a free greenhouse for when we move, her neighbour has taken down and is going to dispose of a reasonably good sized one including all but 1 pane of glass, brilliant and the biggest pleasure of today by miles, well done that DD.

    For today

Very quick dog walk first thing...Haggis had heard his old lady friend go by and was standing at the door waiting to join her. She visited him later on.

Pals wee one for an hour.

Then went to different skinny club. Not been 'in the zone' for about 3 weeks however went today to get back in the zone. Had surprisingly only put on a pound.

Met someone who knows one of my SILs , she kept on and on with the how are you's and poor kids and it shouldn't have happened and he was so young at which point I'm inwardly screaming shut up! I'd never met this person before. It really upset me.

Left car and walked to library in town. It was a most glorious day.

Then walked into town centre and paid a deposit on a floral workshop for next month.

Then popped into charity shop and got a pair of jeans and pair of white wide legged trousers for £1 each...remembered I'd had a hidden tenner!

Big trek back to car. Home and sat in garden for remainder of the day, had a snooze and then started book and finished first library book.

Made a pasta thingy with quorn mince and veggies and spices. I enjoyed it. ( that means no one else did)

Receiving another donation that takes my total up to $620 to give . Waiting on another that's been posted. Then I will pay in.

Nice clean sheets on bed tonight. Always a nice treat.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) V reappeared and fitted the new kitchen lights in the new ceiling.

    3) My sister and niece popped round to see the hens then we went to the local farm shop for a cup of tea.

    4) Hens well.

    5) My brother in law had a big consultant check up today and his operation is needed so badly it is being brought forward to August. There are only a handful of surgeons in the country that can do it and it will take 8 hours.

    6) Took smaller son to his football match then sat in the car reading until he came out.

    7) Sat in the garden for an hour from 10, when it finally got to a sensible temperature. Saw the ISS go overhead.

    8) Just watched Holby City.

Mrs SD I share your excitement over your shed. More shelves for our shed arrived today :j

Frith Any sign of a courtesy car?

    Wednesday

    1. Gave lift to work friend to drop off her car at garage and then continue on to work. Good company, and made us both focus on getting in early.

    2. Finished all but one thing of ‘the big task’. Will do the last one next time School is open.

    3. Dentist for filling in broken tooth. No charge! :D I think he must feel sorry for me......3 times since March :(

    4. Wandered around local shops.......W8rose and got wine for hols (Coupon), CS got Monsoon skirt for hols, Caffè Nero for free coffee with a full card. Sat for a while doing nothing.....:)

    5. Gammon and egg for tea.

    6. Another fire with a glass of Strawberry and Cream Baileys. Watched a very big helicopter circling and saw the ISS by accident :rotfl:

Doggie has seen suitcases. She is very anxious. :(
  • Morning - another lovely cool morning before the heat of the day

Son came round to walk dogs - brought his shirt for work wet straight from his washing machine, I've hung it on the line and in this lovely weather it'll be dry or as good as when he gets back :)

£93 credit on energy - got very excited but apparently you pay for the month in advance so they won't refund til your credit is over your monthly payment - still all good though as our monthly payment will soon go down, as our use has dropped since we went all OS-MSE and bought a smart meter and worked out how much things cost, we used £35 less electricity this month than the previous (so it's not just the heatwave as June was the same!). Long and the short, we should soon have more to throw at credit cards!! :rotfl:

Sister has offered me more blackcurrants :j:j -she's going to freeze them til I see her

    Big tuberous begonias are amazing

Afternoon off tomorrow with OH, planning to use our new National Trust membership for the first time :)
  • 1) A lovely walk round the village last night at 8.30 ish when it had cooled sufficiently to be outside, along the lanes and down to the river to watch the boats come back on the rising tide. The riverside decking was absolutely crowded with people doing the same thing!

    2) We've got another, another removals firm coming for an estimate, they rang yesterday after not having been in touch for a week or so from our original enquiry, Hmmmmm 2 at once like no 26 busses then!

3)Sitting in the garden in the shade yesterday afternoon, once I'd moved the garden furniture, to have my cuppa was lovely, shady, little breeze and the scent of the petunias in the window boxes just gorgeous.

    4) Waking in the night and just standing in the open window in the coolness, priceless and I got back off when I'd cooled down too.

    5) Still no signing of contracts by our buyer, Sighhhhhh! but she does want our largest wardrobe so that means we don't have to take it apart and get rid of it, much better.

    Wednesday pleasures,

Cool of the morning and getting some work done in the garden.

Big old pigeon having a bath, considerably less water afterwards than before but funny to watch.

Over to see horse girlie, far too hot for anything strenuous but she enjoyed her cool hose down.

Heard from friend & ex work colleague, arrangements made for a meet up.

Evening was reasonably cool so bit more gardening done after tea.
