    Lost yesterday's post.

    1. Visited MIL on Sunday. In some ways she is much better in the home but is becoming more confused. She thinks she has been there for 3 years not less than 2 months.

    2. Went to Wisley after visiting her. It was lovely walking round.

    3. Up to date on direct work related admin stuff. It involved staying for over 1 1/2 hours on Thursday and appointments not happening in Monday. I now need to learn a new computer system before October and a couple of other things.

    4. Chat with my Dad. He is feeling so much better on his medication and will be ok to drive soon. It will help my mum too.

    5. Warm evening and Sat in the garden with a drink and DH. It hadn't been particularly sunny though.

    6. Spoke with a neighbour. He is still cutting down a tree that fell a few weeks sgo. He will have loads of logs for his fire when they are dry.

Apart from my very early start it's been a lovely day :)

Was so chilly at first but sky was filled with bright stars and sun is rising a but earlier each morning and nights are stretching out.

Just about skipped out the door at 8.30 instead of 9.30am! Lovely longer than normal dog walk.

Wore my new to me jeans and top from salvos.

Catch up friend at her local cafe. I had water. Cheap date and good catch up and shed photocopied forms for me.

Quick nip round supermarket. Bought a new floor mop as other one snapped last week. Bought some pretty bowls which were RTC and will come home with me.

Lawnmower and table and chair set picked up this morning. Cash in the pretty jar which will soon be going to the bank . I've decided I'm going to use this Kony to buy my basics in UK , kettle, iron, ironing board etc etc as leaving those here for DD1.

Chat with friend in Sydney, had managed to negotiate a slight discount on shipping fees , she had suggested I ask.

Another dog walk up to train station with DD1.

Next items up for sale , hoping they sell quickly.

Then another long walk with dog via Salvis to drop some things in. Nice chats with neighbours on way back.

Washing dried outside and just about to iron .

    Having tacos for tea.

    Have a good day :)

PM2DD Looks fishy from the Theatre of Fish!

5 Yesterday on the buck of face thing, a sexist joke rounded the mill. The one about nuts and birth! Haven’t heard it for a few years though, but the usual splatter the tea soaked digestive biscuit across the boiler room floor moment! I am sorry, but as you gals are so delicate and intricate like, I cannot repeat it hear! PM me if you want the version! You’ll need some sherry to wash it down with.

4 Booked tickets for BB Kings in the Apple of Big. Cool! Now you did not think that BoP was cool there did you! Cool. That is one of BoP’s birthday treats sore ted. More later! Watch this space! Pastry brushes ordered for the top hats and cymbals. Feel the groooooooove! As yous know that BoP had his bathrooms sorted this year, and they are cool! Now it would not be BoP if he did not sing in the shower would it. With the back brush as the mic, I can really strum up a beat. It is a site you just would want to … Now just the opera and a show to sort out. Swing with it.

3 Did you see that millwright needs the stokers again for another year! I see that some carp food emporium is going on strike. Good lThe only thing that strikes here is the iron, and it is hot. On that, one of the desolate foundries has been on the in link communication device again. Usual answer.

No No No No No No No No No No No No No No

There is of curse another place in the West, that is as bad! I’d much rather sweat it stoking the boilers!

2 BoP’s wheels of steel have been serviced for the winter. That means I will be ok during the cold mornings. All that said, but I did take one for a swim once! In fact instead of a piece of paper, these days you can see a video of your car. Wanderous these things. No, service my car and do not become film stars! Thank you!

My car is a Star on the Small Screen

    Mill Negotiations - Final
Rates agreed. Further increments for multiyear 3. cv not issued. Coals ordered for the boilers. Stokers carry on!

    1. Kind of my third NSD in a row (not counting online purchase of boots...)

    2. Got lots done at school today, despite waiting around for ages for tardy people to turn up to meetings they set the times for...*sigh*

    3. Had a lovely time at KW's yesterday.

    4. Cooked, even if I say so myself, a scrumptious gnocchi, veggie and dolcelatte bake for dinner, nomnomnom.

    5. Had a great swim this morning before going into school.

    6. Got another awesome book to read from the library, I'm making the most of it before term starts and life gets crazy again!

Evening all - been AWOL for a few days...

    Pleasures for those days then

    1. Nice time in ICT. A visiting friend said it was a "social whirl" - who knew such a small town could be a hotbed of entertainment (stop laughing Frith... :rotfl:) we had dinner with said friends and other friends on Friday night. I cooked. Saturday was a short walk, a food festival in Aberdovey followed by a really good chamber orchestra concert in Aberdovey and sunday was 6 miles of coast path (we have now covered from Penrhyndeudraeth in the north of the middle to Llanrhysted in the south of the middle plus a couple of random bits elsewhere) followed by dinner at SiL's rented house which was curry cooked by Pakistani's so a real treat :T
    2. Even though it was hammering with rain at various points, i only got really wet once - I'd have been fine under my mahoosive golf umbrella but a car went through a massive puddle and soaked my trousers :rotfl:
    3. My girlie had a lovely time at her Kitacon convention
    4. DS lost his phone  cos he got drunk on Thursday night. The pleasure is that the new replacement cost us £60 but they have amended his contract to be £5 a month cheaper than it was before..
    5. Cooked lovely cheese and lentil loaf for tea. haven't cooked it for yonks and it was lush..

off to my bed soon - have a pleasant rest of evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

VJsmum - ICT often reminds me of Art Deco Cinema Town. Nothing around it but it also somehow supports a tiny high school, market, swimming baths and cinema!

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Ebay man came to pick up the door I had sold.

    3) Did some weeding on the allotment. Hens well and bigger son set all rat traps.

    4) Tasty part baked rolls for lunch.

    5) Moved the piano out for an (infrequent) clean behind it. Also cleaned turtles out.

    6) Brother popped round.

    7) Bigger son is out somewhere. Smaller son went to watch England v Italy (under 17s) at his local football ground.

    8) Just watched Holby City.

Just in and h-m[n.b. bop] ratatouille'd. Bed calls after another big worky day.

1....ending this evening with volunteers' Big Deep Clean/rugby clubhouse kitchen. It's an annual thing and & was away last year. The usual hard-core turn-out with some add-ons. All hands welcome. Major scouring in/out/high/low/stainless steel/catering ovens' innards - and joy of joys!, the usual dead sausage and one multi-carbonised chip were disinterred. & was glad to give 5hrs as Spits early start means No Show demain.

    2. Jam made for A [post passim #330/3.] but not until this a.m. Hit a wall hier soir. 4 jars done by 0630h bells.

    3. Tackled coralux corner. H-U-U-U-UGE deep mining muck-out and went bold with the lovely Fiskars secaturs, being careful not to fell straggling metrage with big bunches of grapes on the ends. It's almost impossible to follow them all back to source and suitable pruning junction. Prob. wrong time of year but done is done.

    4. Spoke to Orslev Kloster this arvo. Patchy reception as 'I am out working in the forest'. We managed, 'cos language choice box dwells in upper right corner :-) Have only 50 or so words of dansk these days.
    http://www.oerslev-kloster.dk/dansk
& asked 'Should I take your name, so I can refer back to you?'
'Oh, I'm Gary. I'm not Danish. I'm Irish.'
&: ' And my Dansk grandfather married an Irish woman. My 3rd name is hers.'
Turns out spookmeister Steven[another kiwi]goes back there most years. Suspect it may be a rather special place. On verra.
SMC have a real following there, Gary tells me.

    5. Japanese anemone war renewed. Light skirmishes with sneaky new shoots. Ground elder similarly trounced yesterday AND slug bodies numerous. They love their little blue sweeties. Fig no. 8 picked, given to dear neighbour who was passing. Remembered picking them when her late OH was stationed in Cyprus. Loves them. 2 more nearly ready.
    Trailer stuffed - again:-)

    6. This latest one of Brett Westwood's 'Natural Histories' is a gem.
Today: Eels [very Fenny apt, Lainey]
