Hello everyone.
Back from a lovely stay in Herefordshire - what a glorious part of the country and we had amazing weather too.
Can't believe it's (just about) October already, where did September go?
Haven't had time to catch up with all your news yet but hope everyone is ok and pleasures are being had.
I need to unpack, get the washer on, sort out a shopping list as the fridge is bare, find something for tea…the usual home from our hollibobs sort of stuff. Lovely to sink into my own bed last night though.
Right, coffee break over, must crack on.
Have a good day, whatever you are up to.

Hello! Today has flown by!
Bit of a rubbish night. Doggy wanted out at 1am and then I was worried he might be feeling sick again. He slept…I didn’t!
Then time to get up. I had a hot water bottle and a laptop and sat and wrote a service. Got most of it done before DD2 picked me up to go for an appointment.Washing dried outside. It’s been so windy today. Was bright but a cool wind.
Sent off service and then grabbed a doggy and off we went to CP for a lovely walk and then I had a swim. Which was nice. Met a swim friend as she was leaving so had a nice chat with her.
Then time to come home. Nice drive back.
Wandered around to DD2 and we had a nice FaceTime chat with my sister in law. A wee baby snuggle then walked home again.
Popped a lasagna I’d bought at the foody Fayre in the oven and went out and cut the grass. Then in for tea with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.7 -
More car conversations today, a car came up for sale and it looks good and meets our criteria for the animals and towing power, however it’s back to the everyone is selling a car for a reason, and that reason they would never share I say cynically, so may require more than we can spare considering the usual extra costs to tax / insure. So, we are going ahead with repairs for now. Today was spent continuing to troubleshoot it for DH thou.
The house is presentable again.
I started decluttering the office, emphasis on started.
The washing line was full by 8am and its all in and dried now.
I was worried about my weigh in after our weekend away, but somehow, it’s at least even, no gain but sadly no loss this week, I’m very happy with no gain.
Made a batter to sit for a while before making toad in the hole with leftovers and using up part of our last homegrown courgette and cabbage to serve with it.
Picked another punnet full of tomatoes, it’ll be an eye opener when we start buying them again.

For today,
Visit to the dentist to be fitted for a crown, not my favourite place if I’m honest but he’s such a cheerful chap and sings along to the radio.
Mouth numb and I was dying for a cup of tea but didn’t dare so read my book to occupy time, I’m re-reading The Scolds Bridle after many years and thankfully cant remember whodunnit!
Warm afternoon and I got hot doing my girl’s stable, it’s a lovely start to autumn.
Home, then back out again for C dog to have a check-up at vets, all ok and nurse trimmed her nails for us too.
Roasted veg and squeaky cheese for tea.
