For yesterday, back later with todays
All of the animal bedding from all over the house has been washed and hung out in various loads.
In-between reading in the garden, I decided to try and add a bit of order to the kitchen cupboards, rather than what always ends up as my hap hazard pop it in roughly the same area.
Playing with the animals in the overly long grass, they do love it this length being er enough to make the mower think. They aren’t out in the garden tomorrow which is my chore/opportunity to get it cut before next weeks rain by the looks of it.
A sneaky for yesterday we popped to Mr T and used a voucher we were gifted with things we can only get at reasonable price from them ironically e.g. brillo pads, abidec and their own salsa is the only one my stomach can tolerate. I also picked up some of the chocolate offers for the vet box we are putting together.
We have picked up 2 lots of olio collections from other people. I think the freezer is happy.
Dinner was RTC herby chips with kiev and veggies.
There “were” free doughnuts, however there’s a problem with the car and DH is feeling rather stressed while troubleshooting so cups of tea accompanied by treats were had.

Hi…let me see if this works. Having to log in on my phone. DD1 left with my iPhone cable and left theirs…not compatible so they’re probably as frustrated as I am 😆
Anyway for Thursday which was the most lovely day!
Had went to caravan on Wednesday after work. And woke up after a full night’s sleep! How novel!
The most stunning sunrise walk. It was just beautiful. And doggy boy walked the furthest he has in months. And then it was swim time and I had such a lovely swim, was nearly finished when a swim pal came in so was there a bit longer.
Had a work call, new service booked in.
Nice drive home and then walked round to get a Baby. And brought her back to mine.Sister in law visited as they were through for a funeral. So that had been an extra bonus!
And then my Thursday evening group which was good.Friday.
After torrential rain it brightened up!
Went to other side of town to meet friend. Had a nice catch up.
Home and grabbed a doggy and off we went to CP. Had a lovely walk. A lovely swim. A lovely visit from The Baby. An early night and watched All Creatures…happy sighs!Saturday.
Up early. Nice walk and home before 8am.Walked to DD2 and we went to baby group at library.
Back here.
Washing went out this morning and thankfully got it on before rain started.
That waited till I was walking back home from picking up a Vinted parcel!! However I had a big roll neck jumper on so that became a hood! And log burner on for the first time this season.
And it’s Strictly time again!6 -
For the last few days,
Morning visit to the beautiful grey one, chores done then sat in her field with her to enjoy the sunshine.
An oh so relaxing facial from my eldest DN and a good catch up as well.
Driving to and from across the Fen landscape and listening to the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
Youngest DN shared the happy news of her engagement, oh and we are pregnant too, tears from proud Auntie but bittersweet knowing how much her Dad would have loved being a Grandad ❤️
Lunch with DSil and her Mum, lots of baby talk.
Lazy start this morning followed by boiled egg & soldiers.
Made a loaf then out to plant bulbs in the autumn sunshine, daffs, tulips, crocuses and some of those giant snowdrops, let’s hope the mice leave them alone!
Spent the afternoon at the yard, girlie had a bath in the warm sunshine but oh sometimes I despair of being a grey horse owner. The bays & chestnuts look clean & shiny for most of the time but not so my girl 🙈 that said she is a real sweetheart and I wouldn’t swap her for anything, no matter how shiny!
Back into the car and heard the last ten mins of United’s game, we equalised in the 92nd minute!
Have just enjoyed a payday Chinese and looking forward to Marble Hall Murders.

Hello! Just been outside to take a pic of the very pretty sunset! We had a very beautiful sunrise that was indeed a warning as it lashed with rain all day! Just poured and poured!
Up early. Out a walk whilst still dark though it was dry.Hoovered upstairs and then downstairs and cleaned the downstairs loo.
Mad dash round our local food Fayre with son in law. We kind of knew what we were hoping to get. And got soaked!
Popped in to see DD2 and The Baby…so Baby and I were equally as delighted to see each other!
Put some things on Vinted for sister in law. Sold something in under a minute but then it took me half a blooming hour to find a locker to leave it in !! Grrrr! Fifth venue before I got one!
Home and made some mince and chopped some carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and sliced potatoes and cooked it all together with enough left for tomorrows tea.
Chat to friend.
And will probably have an early night. Busy worky day tomorrow.7 -
For yesterday,
A lazy day after a busy (for me), stressful (for Capt S) week, we lingered over breakfast and had a mini financial summit with various plans made for next year.
Pottered around in the kitchen while catching up on all things Ambridge.
Roast pork for lunch with hm apple sauce, the yield from our old tree is very low this year but enough for a pot or two of sauce and a couple of crumbles.
Cricket and footie watching, book reading and tea drinking.
We did have an evening walk around the field then watched the last two episodes of Ludwig, toasted crumpets as well.

A rubbish sleep and up early.
I had work this morning and work this afternoon and in between I walked a doggy at CP and it was just glorious! Beautiful day after all that rain yesterday. But it was a quick dash there and back.
Five minutes before going out this morning the dog vomited…me nooooo him soz
so chicken and rice which he rather enjoys.
Headed off to work sharp this afternoon to avoid the school rush hour traffic. So was there early so just had a nice chat with sister in the car.And home!
And an early night. I’m not starting writing as I’ve had enough for the day. Will start early tomorrow.
Had leftover mince and veggies for tea.

BOP Congrats, I think…
I disappeared down numerous wormholes today, reading, researching, finding somewhere for a weekend away maybe. Finding a concert, but finding affordable tickets is proving depressing.
I downloaded various books relating to herbal information, I know enough to be dangerous gained throughout many years of interest, I found Culpeppers on Project Gutenberg and so on.
The still full moon always stops me in my tracks.
Meal planning from the freezer for the week.
Spent a bit of time doing a colouring in thing which was quite relaxing.
Clawing for todays, as the car is having problems, we set out to do local shops and it was fine went around a corner and it went into limp mode at 2mph we went around the block to see if the dashboard would come up with issues but nothing. A dongle shows a critical filter problem, and we are thinking a bad batch of fuel as it’s only happened since. However, you would think a critical the car won’t go problem would give up some amber and red lights but nothing – rant over.
Pleasure that DH is as handy as can be, and know that as and when costs incurred it is a must for the car and at the best price we can get without working in the trade.
Rejigged food for a bit of comfort an English brekkie for supper but cooked the way we like so poached eggs, grilled tomato’s, a decent quality sausage, grilled bacon and no added sugar Heinz beans, DH also likes chips which meant me getting the other oven to work, it part works, well enough for a portion of chips.

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to art class and everyone was chatty.
3) Went to the local college for a cup of tea. The man who runs the cafe (who saves me empty tomato puree tubes) has a new job but will be working in an enormous garden centre so we will see him when he go to look at their Christmas display.
4) Did loads of jobs in the afternoon, paperwork, cleaning tidying. Took hours.
5) Took smaller son to Aldi and looked at the Christmas stuff.
6) Curry for tea.
7) This chap mowed my grass for me. He was in my garden for half an hour:
