@Frith - Welcome to the new cat.

For yesterday,
Busy morning with chores done and a trip over to the yard to see big girl.
All to clear my afternoon for an appointment with the hairdresser only to discover that I had written the wrong day on the kitchen calendar and it is actually today! That will teach me to check my phone as well 🙈
Consoled myself by picking up a pack of lemon & sultana danishes to enjoy whilst watching Bake off.
An unexpected afternoon at home, it was sunny & warm so took C dog around the field.
Lamps are on by 7 now, days march away.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Took my friend for a cup of tea.
3) Went to Waitrose and did the crossword. Got 2 cardboard boxes for the new cat (coming Monday).
4) Dropped a bag of stuff at the charity shop but didn't buy anything.
5) Still cleaning, hoovering and washing before our short break.
6) Looking forward to Grand Designs.
But of a worrying time as both my second mother and father are in hospital after becoming very ill with flu. My sister's mother in law is also in hospital after having a stroke, out of the blue.

Over the past few days.
Mowed the back garden to fill up the garden bags for the bin collection.
I’m not sure if this is the most boring pleasure going but I started grout reviver in the bathroom testing it on the bit that runs around the floor, wishing it wasn’t okay as I need to do the tiles next. It does look okay but needs two coats much to my dismay. Tiles in due course, very tempted to change it to black grout for future.
I’ve been doing a lot more moving and stuck to the strict diet and still no movement on the scales this week. I am disappointed this time.
We were up early this morning, and the ferrets were very happy about it, while they fit in around us normally, they do like the dawn times.
Busy today bringing up the bathroom as far as possible, using the remainder of the tile grout touch up to do the rest which looks good. Tiles cleaned, mirrors cleaned, used a baking soda / vinegar mix on a patch around the plug and that worked really well. I also measured up the bathroom units, which are of course an unusual smallish side, we picked them up originally from ikea, but everything there now unit wise is bigger. So I’ve cleaned them, measured it all up and I’m going to try and see if I can replace the edging as that’s what’s gone.
I tried a gluten free lunch and if I’m honest I both didn’t like it and it didn’t like me either which seems odd I thought it would be mild, but grateful I can now have my handmade burgers for dinner now.
I’m thinking about looking into a little bit of extra black out lining for the curtains to keep it warm, so just meandering around the Dunelm website at the moment for ideas.
Gathered in the last of the tomato’s,

- still in a summer dress but think it'll be trousers soon (I hate wearing tights so it's bare legs at the mo)
- lovely chat with our cleaner - she's a star
- choir rehearsal - i'm now a 2nd tenor (goes rather low!)
- gbf gave me a lift home and we finished off the Osso Buco
- then dd2 phoned me - she's been trying on wedding dresses - all very exciting!

@Frith - Will be thinking about you and sending hugs for your second mother and your father. That is very concerning being hospitalized with the flu. Take car of yourself.

Worrying indeed @Frith sending healing vibes for your family members.
For yesterday,
A very wet & soggy day and the horses were having a duvet day in an effort to preserve fields so I went over to see my girl mid morning. With a cold night forecasted I banked her shavings up the side of stable and filled two large nets of hay.
Right day for hair ha ha, good to get it cut and as it’s over 3 months since it was last coloured it’s mostly now all my natural shade which I’m liking.
Did pop into Mr Sparks on way home as I had voucher and thought wise to spend on some bits for the store cupboard.
Home, quick change and back to the yard to check on my lass, more hay in nets and gave her some tea. I added marigold & cleavers to her chaff as it’s meant to be good for equine lymphatic systems and she’d been standing in all day.
Then our tea and into PJ’s before catching up on all the quizzes.

1.&, like many, very lurgified and had a rarer-than-rare bed day yesterday. Tabs, extra citrus, meds etc. all done. Balance and hearing still affected, but made it to midweek Communion this morning. Numbers down for same reason and all afflicted to some degree.
2. Raining as I write in Doblo, before taking '60,000 Pub Quiz Questions' to The Alma. A happy find among new church books today. It is Quiz Night after all.😃
3. Began crocheting P's Remembrance Day poppies, 19 done yesterday. Today bought more tapestry needles to darn in ends - 4 on every poppy, an absolute pain🤐😬, loathey-loathe-loathe, but must be done and isn't there a telling Just Keep Going parallel in there somewhere?🤔, Lest We Forget.
4. Today has been the first real Need A Coat day. Sunny still, but very cold.
5. Struck lucky in emporium late arvo. 2 rtc roast-in-bag chickens £3.40, one handed on at rugby training earlier.
