Pleasures for today (Monday)
1)Another exciting football match. Poor Henderson, getting a yellow card and a broken arm without ever setting foot in the grass! And Harry Kane's squeaky interview.
2) Dawn was breaking so I put the Merlin app on. The usual birds plus a heron.
3) 2 hours sleep then woken by police sirens so got up.
4) Went to art class.
5) Watching Wimbledon now before more football.
6) Filled in a form to possibly be a cat fosterer for a charity.

Voici &, trying yet again to sign in, read and maybe even post! Mse has become hopeless for &, but then & has become pretty hopeless for herself since snapped tendon.
So, not exactly osps, but recent episodes.
- Addenbrookes' Night Practice "nurse"😖🤬😈 from Hell after 8hrs, x-rays, wheelchair etc.
- Monday a.m., somehow drove to dentist, small repair kindly done in downstairs surgery.
- Own surgery and at last, real care. New2& Dr gave painkillers, meds and Voltarol. Such relief.
- Sunday, reception HC service for new curate, fully ordained day before in Ely Cathedral. Terrific family. & read NT Romans 7, 5-15a.
- Yesterday, another Addenbrookes day: Clinic 1, proper orthopaedic examination by first-rate young female Dr, more x-rays, 2 gentleman consultants, both excellent and saying MRI necessary. Damage has been done, now how to prevent more and hoping to avoid surgery. Plaster room. Then surgical boot. What a pig of a thing! Booklet and patient care sheet to read and learn about. Just getting on with it all as best I can. At least 7-8 weeks.😖
- As we speak, dark butterflies dart in and out of Doblo, up where & has made it onto The Gallops in strongly breezy shade. Listening to R5⚽ and Messi messes another penalty. Need to keep ahead with Wimbledon too. Djokovic out would be glorious but young Fery is splendid. Cricket's just starting too.
- Various bits of surgical boot verbiage contradict each other🤔, so & will just be her usual ancient kiwi survivor self for a bit longer, grateful to ALL who helped her since tendon snapped, now Day 10.
Blessings to all who read here and if you can make it to a Spooky Men's Chorale concert, your lives will be enriched!💖😃🫶😁.
Take care, stay hydrated.

& sounds like you and H are a pair! Hope it heals properly. Take care x
I was on Grandmama duty last night…went for a snooze before they arrived. The little not so sleepy one up a few times in the night which I dealt with and let DD2 catch up on some sleep.I had to pop into town to put yesterday pay into bank ( usually done as a straight bank transfer) so I was once again thankful for free parking.
Popped to M&S got a few things that were RTC.
Then over to the charity shops. Got a stripy top, a dress for a pound that should be good for work. A box of paper bows for a parcel. And a pair of green jeggings, And a lovely blue linen top…stopped myself from buying a beautiful tea set because a, I absolutely do not need and b, it would be murder to have tried to have lugged it to the car…but it was pretty! If it’s there next time I’ll reconsider as it would be pretty in the caravan.
Supermarket on way home and got 2 house plants RTC for 75p each…I had looked in at florist on way back to car and a plant was £7.50 and thought nah so I was happy to pay £1.50 for two and a n Is bunch of very RTC flowers.
And home and I sat down to do some work and then had an email about another service I’m doing and made arrangements to meet the family.
So tried to work in between baby cuddles and visitors. Two sets of folks in . Finished what I had planned to get done today so I’m happy with that. Has been on the mental to do list for a week.
And then arranged a return for a parcel so took that to local supermarket that has just started doing parcels ( hurrah as will save having to drive in to town) and bought a bag of jelly beans.
And home and hello doggy…what a busy day it’s been. He’s been limpy today so we are just enjoying a cuddle on the sofa before I head to bed !

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to Sainsbury's cafe to help my friend with some paperwork.
3) Went to Lidl.
4) Changed bank accounts.
5) Watched Egypt nearly beat Argentina.
6) Talked at cross purposes to my friend because I thought Ronaldo's club was called Al Nasr, rather than Al NaSr. One word means victory, which makes sense. The other word means vulture!
7) Watered the pots.
8) Watching Switzerland v Colombia now.
9) Pulled pork and salad wraps for tea.

& Hoping you heal soon.
Yesterday
Tackling a little bit of mess a little at a time today it was some general tidying but tonight I will sort a bag out that’s been lurking about
I did a wee bit more gardening, mowing and weeding.
Sat out in the back garden with my legs up, a cuppa and a book.
Cooked up some cupcakes
Chicken pieces were dinner with dessert eaten while sitting in the garden
Put the world to rights with the neighbours for an hour or so.
Renewed vigour for some job applications.
For today
Cleaned the top of the house, stairs, and a couple of animal spaces before stopping for a salad for lunch
Carried on by cooking up a batch bolognaise before it got too hot to bother.
Played with Rhubarb, trying to keep/get him interested but we are thinking he’s going to need a vet MOT, as even allowing for the grieving, he’s not right.
So grateful for the little air con unit.
The car is in parts on the driveway, as DH has just ordered a part and isn’t putting it back together until it gets here, and I can’t say I blame him looking at the sheer number of parts. Also very grateful for his ability to do this and in the process make savings.
Watching the birds enjoying the bird bath.

& sending all necessary healing vibes and please reach out if I can help in anyway x
For yesterday,
Up early and went through the house, what with the very hot week before the holiday then actually being away everything had got a bit messy so good to put it to rights.
Caught up with a couple of frugal folk that I follow on Utube.
Got my girlie in and settled in her stable before high heat of afternoon.
Good performance by T20 team to win at TB.
The hummingbird moth is back and enjoying the Buddleia.

I couldn’t sleep for pain last night and when I did drift off the pain work me up again. Thankfully, I have the space to take painkillers today and add in some sleeping help in tonight.
Home made chilli con carne, not matching the weather but it is homemade. I did make a little salad for lunch
Deep cleaned the bathroom, and then also cleaned the bedroom, with the plus of the air con in there.
Joined a zoom meeting to brush up on work skills, sites, ai etc.
It takes longer to water the garden with a watering can but therapeutic at the same time, I’m ridiculously happy having grown my first ever courgette now stashed in the fridge, I have plans to grow more next year. I’ve sorted out some salad seeds for tomorrow’s job.

Today did not go as planned!
Up early and off down to CP. Had a walk . Was looking forward to a swim…DD2 called to say baby hadn’t been well and was going to GP could I take her ( she can’t drive yet) so yes but I’m at CP! So c’mon dog back in the car…quick dash in to house to put undies on ( was wearing my cossie 😆) and then round to theirs. Then pharmacy.
Then via mine to get dog’s lunch to quickly feed him then we had hospital appointment for baby so all back in the car but hurrah for a parking spot. Which someone was enthusiastically pointing out to us!Very lovely staff.
And homeward bound via petrol station.
And hello doggy…I’m just going to walk around to the pharmacy again to pick up prescriptions. And back to get doggy, go home and see my visitors. Sister and BIL here for a couple of days.
Met friend on way home so pulled over to chat to her.
Then sis and I walked round to friends house…who had a very lovely cat from next door visiting.
Nice walk back past mums house.
And tea was eaten in the very warm garden…we have had our first sunny day in almost 2 weeks.Had a RTC chicken pie that was in the freezer. New potatoes and broccoli, carrots and peas. And I had half a RTC rhubarb pie in the freezer so we had that warmed with ice cream and very nice it was too.
Bit of chatter then time to put the doggy to bed. I sat downstairs for a wee while. And I am certainly ready for bed!7 -
