Bedtime. Trying for an early night. Thank you for your kind words.

Up early and boof you remember the day before.

Doggy and I went to CP. Hurrah. What a faff to put his leg brace on…it goes on the sore leg but wraps around the opposite one and then is connected to his hardness or collar. Lots of Velcro. Lots of dog hair. Lots of er I don’t really want this on. Had a mini brainwave and mashed some banana on a licky mat but that was inhaled so I’ve just done one for the freezer which will hopefully take a moment more licking and give me enough time to get it on.

Anyway into the car and down we went. Roads were nice and quiet. Stopped in at the little layby at the field and did a whole 5 minute walk! Bearing in mind this is the most he’s done other than being in the garden. So 2.5 minutes down and then back up on the other side. Much to be sniffed at.

I went for a 20 minute swim but yay for not having to come straight home. Had a very quiet day in the caravan. Didn’t make any conversation with anyone that I might normally have done. Just stayed in and started a book which has been a lovely read and I’ve just sat and finished it.

Left just after 4pm and nice drive home. DD2 and SIL and Baby came round for tea. Baby slept but did have a teeny tiny cuddle.

Quick chat with friend before they arrived.

Dry and very breezy today. Washing dried.

Hugs, Mhags, there are no words, but so glad you could be there with family and time beforehand.

The car air con broke within the week, not a pleasure in this weather, DH busy troubleshooting, with the help of you tube.

We went for a walk with Rhubarb and Hershey; we are exploring some woodland paths. Honestly, I feel so naïve I saw 2 chaps in the car park and I made a comment about them blowing up balloons in the car, only to learn that they were doing drugs via the balloon, ah.

An amazing sunset.

Cold leftovers made for a decent dinner, and strawberries of course for dessert.

My day so far…

Down to CP at 6.30am having manhandled a dog into a leg brace…frozen banana for the win!
It was raining! I had sandals on and no jacket so may have got wet. We managed a little bit further today ( which wasn’t far but was more than yesterday but it seems to be tiring)

Nice caravan cuddles. He came up beside me and cuddled in which was nice. We were so used to our morning cuddle after getting up in the morning. But because he’s been in a crate we couldn’t do that ( he still gets cuddles!)

Anyway did my housework that takes all of not very long 😆 and went for my swim. Pool should open at 9am if it’s dry and chap didn’t come till 9.10am. Had my swim…it rained, I was wet anyway!

Back for a hot shower.

Holy moly at the weeds! Huge and overgrown which is 3 weeks of no visits and lots of sun and about as much rain! My poor hands are covered in nettle stings and cuts! Absolutely nipping!
Chap across gave me a loan of their strimmer. A work in progress but looking much better.

Baby popped in for her first caravan visit and met next door neighbour and across the way who were all keen to say hello!

Had intended doing a bit of work there but came home a bit earlier and did it here.

washing hung out and should soon be dry as it wasn’t out till 3.30pm swim stuff and a couple of caravan throws.

Baby and DD2 are coming for the night! Baby does not sleep for very long…this could be interesting and why I’m posting now 😆

Up early and went with dh to the diabetic eye check as he can’t drive back, while I was whiling away time on the phone, I meandered on the Olio app and found some useful food bits I put in for and collected just now.

Lunch was leftover soup and the last of the leftover bread.

There was an afternoon nap.

Washing out and in again.

Following the leftover’s theme, it was the remainder of the chicken with pesto pasta, and veg.

Enjoying seeing what flowers are making an appearance each day in the garden, today its some of the red snapdragons coming out.

PK I am in awe & have just hauled out the tome on floriography - red snapdragon for grace under pressure, associated with positive energy and strength, so ideal for wishing someone well and "a touch of mystery" as the dragons mouth can hide a secret. Passes virtual bunch of lavender, peonies, & sunflowers for restoration of health & wellbeing!

Will be an early night tonight ! The Grandmama is shattered! And enjoying the peace with her dog boy.

Anyway a night with a 4 week old who doesn’t sleep for terribly long. But what a lucky person I am!

A rainy start to the day and a very rainy afternoon but it was actually quite nice watching the very heavy rain water the garden. Everything is in full bloom.

Work call. I’m officially still off but had said I would do this particular service. So tomorrow will be a writing day. See if I remember what to do 😉

Missing My Pup.Tuesday is a Pup day. And Wednesday is a Pup day. In fact I saw him most days. Just too sad.

Everybody had left by 4pm with all the stuff that accompanies the tiny one. Just hoovered downstairs and shall venture upstairs with hoover shortly.

Went and got ice cream last night and then remembered this afternoon there was still some left! So shared it with the dog boy…he had his frozen banana on his lick mat too.

Did a bit of chopping at the front of the overhanging bush. My fingers are still nipping from yesterday. Had to take my rings off this morning as they felt tight on swollen fingers.

Just sitting quietly with the patio door open and listening to the bird songs.

oh @mhagster so sorry to see about pup - sending hugs

work continues to hit the news headlines for all the wrong reasons. yet we have so many good people and so much to offer - we battle on

1. Friday was graduation - absolutely fabulous - my phd student came all the way from Thailand (and her mum got to watch online which was lovely)
2. Saturday was friends' open garden day - i took a book and sat with a cuppa while gbf took photographs (at their invitation) - we were both happy :-)
3. then of course England - DrM came to watch with me
4. last cathedral choir Sunday as schools now out for summer
5. friend's ordination in the afternoon - i took a book for after and sat in the garden while gbf chatted (then complained he missed out on a 2nd slice of cake lol)

so quite a busy weekend! yesterday i spent the evening with wimbledon then 2nd half of the Germany game which of course finished far later than was good for me on a school night. off to see France later but now of course watching Williams Joint match.

So many good memories of pup there Mhags.

It's one month since we lost Custard, and my heart lurched yesterday as one of the ferrets played with Custards toy, admittedly I've had "watery eyes" every day since to be honest as he was so part and parcel.

Making plans for future days out and making notes as they are easily forgotten, this is for Oare gunpowder works and nature walk.

We had to pop out to our local garden centre as Rhubarb had run out of his treats, so while we were there we had our free tea and coffee, er we might also have picked up a box of broken biscuits and DH fell for one of the clearance plants which is already planted up with pride of place.

Build our own wraps for tea was tasty.

Sitting in the garden with a cuppa doing not a lot was not on the plan…

My to-do list rolls over a few days…
