morning all 😊
Today’s the day we get the keys 🔑 for our new home 🤞😊
The money went through yesterday, that was the bit that was worrying me.
More shopping done: Washing machine, tumble dryer, sofas ordered. Luckily we don’t faff around and quickly agree on what we want. We’ll have beds, dining furniture and washer and dryer delivered next week, so the plan is to move in gradually and sleep over when we get the beds. Bought some lovely china and soft furnishings and kettle/toaster etc online, so enjoyed that.
Once we’ve got the keys, we’ll take some boxes of kitchen stuff and start loading up the many cupboards. It’s quite exciting 😊
It was a lovely sunny day yesterday ( after fog all day on Wednesday) makes us happy to be living near the sea.
Have a great day everyone 😊

Morning all.
Great news, Paulie, wishing you many years of happiness in your new home.
Some pleasures:
- My birthday yesterday and the sun shone. Thought I might have woken up grown up but it seems not, there's always next year.
- Everyone popped in for birthday cuddles, my heart really was full.
- A lovely mooch round the garden centre.
- Great production of Sister Act at the theatre. Local theatre company but very professional, a lovely evening.
- Excitement over and back to poodling and pottering and just 'being'. Happy days.
Happy Friday everyone.

PaulieHerts how exciting. Always a relief when no last minute hitches
For yesterday
- Chat with friend on walk to bus
- Working with a colleague who I don’t see often. She is lovely and made day go quickly
- World book day. Seeing patients (most of our patients are children) coming dressed up.
- Chat with neighbour as I arrived home.
- Enjoyed tea.

Good afternoon
We've had some lovely sunny days but cloudy today. Not raining though so that's a bonus.
Mhagster - I always loved the start of the season when we had a caravan. It was so exciting to be back and starting afresh.
Paulie H - brilliant news.
Highdays - happy birthday. Enjoy!
We've been out for lunch today. No reason. Just for a treat. Good food and huge portions. Won't need to eat for a week!
Started sorting colours for my new embroidery project. I love sorting out something new. Will do some practice stitches though before I start the real thing.I
Been watching The Capture S2. Scary!
Avoiding the news as much as possible. Yes, I'm an ostrich at times like this. But did listen to DS complaining his mortgage rate has risen to 3.75 %. Told him that just after we moved in 1973 ours was 17%!!
Happy teatime everyone

For yesterday
A catch-up phone call with the in law.
We took it a bit easy today as things have caught up with us.
Popped out to Aldi, DH wanted to pop across to Mr T and I was surprised there were actually a few rtcs to be snaffled.
Had a lovely Chelsea bun with a cuppa.
For today
I had a meeting that went really well, singing my praises is always welcome.
All the animal areas and bedding cleaned along with the floors, so I’m calling it cleanish.
Watched Father Brown.
There was a grilled bacon sandwich enjoyed this morning, and I’ve stuck to the food plan and tonight is build your own wraps.

Enjoy making your new house your home Paulie and Happy Birthday Highdays…who needs to be a grown up?
Overnight at my happy place.
Out walking this morning…just us and the deer! Yikes as one jumped the hedge in front of us. It was all cold and frosty and a huge big buttery coloured moon . Lovely.
Headed home at 9am. Nice drive back.
Home just in time for a delivery of a new hoover…ooh the excitement! Used it already.
Hung out a washing.
Then into town. Parked at town supermarket up the hill. Bank. M&S and then coffee shop for a tuna croissant. Nice chatter with owners ( used to work for them 20 odd years ago) and then had just left and met a friend so quick chat and then into workplace and a bit more chatter.
And home again!
And was just in and got a work call for another service.Quick chat to sister.
Patio doors open and a doggy sat outside. Then was sick outside! Hmmm!
Moved garden furniture. And a few pots.
It was the loveliest day!
DD2 came to pick up Pup and we went a walk.7 -
Congrats @villagelife and @PaulieHerts
waves to @Broomstick
hoping all ok @Frith
Some good things this week
- coming home in the light
- dd1 over from the Netherlands for a week - she's been very busy meeting friends but did manage to book a slot with her this morning 💖
- Luton are through to Wembley @Admiral_Barbarossa
- survived being attacked by a music stand at choir on Wednesday (though my shins are very bruised, nothing broken, and I do think 'attacked by a music stand' sounds good 🤣)
- finished the week with band practice at mine - we had chilli (thanks mum) followed by rhubarb crumble from one of the band members. yum

Evening all😀
Exciting news PaulieHerts.
Belated happy birthday Villagelife.
Am waving back, DD. Band practice followed by rhubarb crumble sounds so, so civilised. I'm craving rhubarb crumble now. 😀
Five pleasures for Friday:
1. Drove over to my house. I’ve owned it for a while but not moved in yet because of a problem with the building work. It's about half an hour away and I always take the minor single-track-roads-with-passing-places where I can. This route is usually only driven by locals and drivers go slowly, are great at giving way to each other, slow down properly for horses and dog walkers, still say thank you and smile a lot. It’s reminder of what sane, lovely humans are like.
2. Picked some daffs from the garden to bring back home. They are the ones that smell really daffodilly, unlike bland supermarket versions.
3. A hare (safely) getting across the road in front of my car.
4. Braced myself to open a piece of post that looked like a utility bill and it turned out to be notification of a refund. Nice surprise.
5. Good chat on the phone with my best friend.
Sweet dreams
