Good morning. The woodland birds are singing. Such a nice sound to listen to. Having a wee countryside sleepover.
Yesterday…up early.
Had ouchy ouch massage.
Then straight down to CP. Bags were all packed.
Quick chat to son just before I left. I’d tried him earlier, he’d tried me when I was out, I’d tried him again and then he got me! It just quick as I was packing the car and it was his bedtime.
DD2 was having a birthday so they came down to CP. TheChap and I took the dogs a very lovely walk. It was the most beautiful afternoon. Felt like spring was springing.
Then we went to the next village and had a very lovely latelunch.
They dropped me off and I just sat quietly did a bit of watching and reading .Had a late afternoon walk with the last of the sunshine and then a quick walk as it was getting dark.Didn’t need tea as I’d had late lunch.
And hot water bottles filled and into bed. Woke a few times. But that’s kind of my norm.

Hey 👋🏻 Broomstick.
For the last few days,
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Capt S did the first grass cut of the year, lovely smell.
The garden birds are completely absorbed in operation nest build, saw our Robin sorting through the dry fronds of the fennel to find material, must make an aromatic bed.
Belated birthday treat from DB, we met up in Uni City and walked to a pub for a meal. We went through the area that I lived in during my 20’s so lots of memories for me although it’s been built up a lot.
Loads of chat and the food was delicious, Greek, my favourite. We over ordered and were giving boxes to take away the leftovers so Capt S had some olives when I got home.
The beautiful grey one is enjoying the early spring sunshine.
Washing dried on the line.
A tiny wren came down for a bath, all fluffed up feathers.
The full moon rising behind the beech trees.

Morning everyone.
Exciting day today, I will try a post with no numbers to see if that looks better!
Recent pleasures:
Middle grandson passed his theory test, now to book his actual test.
My scan results finally came back clear - phew. The plan, I thought, had been to get the scan done and then look at options. However, the letter said the scan was clear and therefore I have been signed off. Hmm..
Beautiful sunshine and no wind yesterday, people out sitting on benches and smiling as we did some shopping.
Back into enjoying reading again, a great book on the go - May We Feed The King by Rebecca Perry.
DH got the grass cut and edged yesterday, looks so much better. May pop to the garden centre for some tubs of colour - shameful really but that's about the total sum of my interest in gardening!
Right, coffee time. Hope you have some sunshine where you are to cheer the day.

Hi to Broomstick! Congratulations to Villagelife and is everything okay with you Frith?
Waking up at caravan. Was quite cosy with my long HWB. Was raining first thing then cloudy but dry and then as we left the sun came out and it was a lovely afternoon!Had a dream with a friend in it yesterday so sent them a text this morning and we text back and forth and then who was in front of me at the till in supermarket? Them…so had a very quick catch up!
And home…it was blooming freezing! But didn’t put the heating on till later for a couple of hours!
Had a work call with new family and a chat with sister.
Had to go out and collect something and decided to walk as it was so nice. Met someone I know on way and had a chat with them. Blossom on trees. Birds being busy and blue sky. Lovely !
Home and hello doggy…I know I smell of other doggies!
Had some crackers and cheese and fruit for my tea.

Listening to the owl is so relaxing when I’m not its prey.
We had a vets visit which went a bit awry, not due to illness but due to a stock mishap. Re-booked in for next week.
Popped into a “cheap shop” and picked up 2 bits we needed.
Vaguely cleaned the house up.

(Late) evening all. 😀
Five little pleasures for today:
- Ocado order arrived as planned with no omissions. Very friendly driver. I don't know if it's just in my neck of the woods but delivery drivers seem to be being happier (and more competent) at the moment which is cheering. I hope their working conditions have been improved and that the upward trend continues.
- Ate the Baba Ganoush from the delivery for breakfast. That wasn't the plan for it but oh well…
- Got out for a walk in the late afternoon sunshine.
- Spicy pumpkin soup for supper.
- Have just made a hot water bottle to curl up with tonight.
Sweet dreams

For yesterday
- Another sunny day- seems to make everyone happier.
- Seeing a magnolia in full bloom on walk to bus. A fantastic sight
- A compliment from someone at work. Delivered in a way that was very genuine.
- More baby photos- she is being very good and cries very little.
- Early night as feeling shattered and actually slept.

Evening all. 😀
Five small pleasures from today:
- Waking up to sunshine.
- Was texted a photo first thing by DS1 showing him wearing an improvised World Book Day costume at work (he has a relevant job - he didn't walk into a grown-up office setting dressed like that!) Made me smile.
- Put in an order for some organic veg seeds. I haven't had access to a garden for several years and will be starting anew with this one - heaps of work ahead - so I've just chosen some things that won't take ages or much space to grow, just to get me motivated. It was so lovely browsing seed catalogues again.
- Mug of cocoa.
- More audiobook.
Sweet dreams

For Thursday,
Up early.Gathered my few bits and pieces and a dog and off we went to the caravan.
Thankfully plumber was on site as I still couldn’t get boiler going even with new battery…so he helped me out and hurrah for hot water.
Rained all day! So a few soggy doggy moments! And a doggy who got his face washed when we got back in as he was rubbing his face on something ( the last time he rolled it was badger poop which was horrendous! ) I couldn’t see what it was but he was well and truly face washed much to his surprise!
And was just generally quiet all day. Bit of watching. Bit of reading.
Chatted to sister in the afternoon…as two pheasants strolled on by! As they do !
Will be heading home this morning…there’s to be nice weather and much to be done in my garden!
