lovely sunshine today so we had brunch sitting looking at the sea. Very nice it was too, a small full English for me and a double up for OH. No cooking tonight. It was too hot sitting in the sun!
When we got home I got a recliner out and sat in the garden, I have a red neck!
Lunch with two friends tomorrow, belated birthday one for me and early birthday for bestie.
Friday we’re back near to old home as OH has a funeral to go to. I may visit my old friend in hospital but parking is very difficult and I can’t manage any other way. We’re staying down there for the night so OH may be able to drop me off on Saturday.
Have a good 💤 everyone.

beautiful @paulieherts things to be grateful for
- the footie - Luton is one game away from Wembley
- my doggie - he has had his hair cut (though his ear is still troubling him)
- my team - we had a great away day in the botanics and we got lots of work done as well as having fun
- the office multicultural tree - we didn't want to take it down after Christmas (so you can now guess what sort of tree) and it has now been decorated for Ramadan and Eid
- my pub - just back from watching Juventus game with Dr M and Mr G. A very good end to a very good day (which i did of course say to Dr M)

For yesterday
- Walked half way to bus stop with someone. We normally pass each other so was good being able to talk properly.
- Seeing spring flowers in church yard - still snowdrops and also daffodils and primroses.
- Kept calm at work can be hard at times.
- Not too cold waiting for delayed bus.
- Cooking ham pie as I intended to. Determined to cook more and not give in to DH saying I’ll buy something. I enjoy cooking when I start.

I've decided that if I don't rabbit on so much the spacing in my posts might look better.
Hmm, we will see… briefly:
- Sorted and booked little fella's birthday trip.
- Eldest grandson is 20 today, unbelievable really. Out for lunch with the birthday boy today.
- Glorious sunshine and warm yesterday, a taste of spring.
- No scan results yet so assume nothing too serious was seen.
- Have finally lost my first half stone of the year, it's a lot easier to put on than take off.
Right, hope this looks more presentable so far. Have a good day whatever you are up to. Raining and windy here, hope you manage to see some sunshine where you are.

For yesterday
We got up good and early spent some time making sure the animals were relaxed as we needed to leave for the in laws for the day.
A good journey and we spent the day doing some handy person bits and bobs, and we were treated to take out.
When we got back in around 11pm, we treated the animals to some time in the garden, they love it in the dew of the evening.
The sad, we realised that our eldest lady Daim, had been holding on for us to come back, and it was like as soon as we got in she started to shut down. We stayed up until 4am, where we caved and took her up with us. I discovered to albino ferrets (Rhubarb and Custard) waiting in my place on the bed for me and immediately cuddled up before they pootled off to bed under ours.
For today
Daim has her own cuddle bed where she seemed to relax down and I kept an eye every two hours In short, we bought her down for our brekkie and placed her cuddle cup on a heat pad, and while we had porridge, she gained her wings. It’s hit hard, but I did say to DH, the time it doesn’t hit hard is the time to stop.
A weird pleasure, we had to start doing some deep cleaning, and DH ran out of distilled vinegar, which prompted a daft conversation of me suddenly realising that my club card vouchers run out this week. So, we popped along and used the vouchers up on lactose free cream for the ferret’s meds, distilled vinegar, and some lovely reductions, some of which were tonight’s picky food and certainly enough for the rest of the weekend.
We needed to pick up DH’s meds so went a different way across, and saw about 100 Canada geese landing, I’m guessing getting ready to move on it was a lovely distracting sight.
From the pharmacy to Aldii to pick up some affordable bits, and I was just getting into the car when a lady said to me excuse me, your jumper looks really nice the colour, pattern everything is lovely, which prompted a little chat on how I love soft material and where to get it, and I thanked her, mentioning I’d had an awful day and her comment was what I needed to stop me sinking under. It was so random, but so needed, I’m very grateful.

some days are just so absolutely great you can't believe how everything just fitted into place.
- 2 serendipitous corridor meetings before i even got to my desk
- although i had sent my apologies for the external was able to join 39 mins late and was able to be very useful without offending anyone hooray and great quick meeting with administrator which reassured me no offence taken phew - we are the dream team!
- our multi-cultural tree (aka the artificial Christmas tree i had spare and donated to the team office) has become a talking point in a good way (currently decorated with Ramadan / Eid decorations, i will leave these on till end of Eid and just add the Easter eggs)
- this evening very good committee meeting for local group i'm treasurer and have just got minutes off to chair for checking - we're going to purchase a 3d bee hive and get advice on swift nests which also makes me very happy
- but in between walked the dog and he i snow snoring gently in his bed - that also makes me very happy

Good morning…there’s a speck of blue sky! Hurrah.
Thursday was a busy day.
Up early, threw on clothes and down to CP for about 7.45am and had a nice walk. Was a bit rainy on way back. I’d popped into caravan to make up my bed ( having remembered this time to actually bring the duvet) and whooosh down came the rain! It was torrential…so the pleasure was certainly missing the downpour!Headed home for a shower and get ready for work! Had a lovely service to take for a friend…always a bit harder when you know the person but also such an honour to be asked.
At the tea I sat with a friend and the person next to me said hi…do you remember me…eh…anyway she had been a colleague of my husbands 30 odd years ago so we had a nice catch up. I was given the most beautiful flowers.
And then had just got home and DD2 texted and said are you coming for dinner? Oh okay! So I was picked up and we had a very late for me dinner. A lovely starter which I can’t remember what it was called. And then the most delicious lasagne with focaccia. Was absolutely stuffed!
And a late night for me by my early to bed standards!
