Happy birthday Pauline
For Wednesday
- New system in place at work - it has proved my point. It will need a few weeks to see if the pattern continues and then see if anything gets done.
- Saw a lovely patient who had recovered which is great.
- Left work slightly early- boss was away and would have objected. I started 10 minutes early and worked 10 minutes of my lunch but leaving 10 minutes early would mean taking time in lieu
- Met my sister on train on way to my Mums
- Birthday celebration at my Mum’s house with both my sisters. Had a lovely meal and cake and we all stayed the night.
For yesterday
- Good train journey to walk.
- Managing the afternoon with a colleague so we could both get through it. It was chaotic to say the least.
- Managed to finish work on time which looked unlikely at times.
- Cooked a nice tea using up stuff.
- Enjoyed reading my book.
Thank you Happycas for the info about the gloves. They are fantastic and have really helped.

Good afternoon. It's not raining - yet.
Paulie H - very belated happy birthday. And so pleased you are enjoying seaside life.
Village life - glad to hear the gloves are helping. I'm really pleased with mine.
Recently.
Buying flowers and chocolates for DD and DDiL birthdays. And making gluten free shortbread and apple crumble for DD. Nice easy presents.
Tried to send 3 picture frames to charity shop. They've been sitting around for years but DH said he'd store them in the garage. In my experience, any new photo/ picture never fits in any old frame!
Note on my phone calendar said ' Bring in bulbs'. Good job I'd made a note. I'd completely forgotten some crocus bulbs bought for my birthday with pretty pots, planted and put in the shed. They're sprouting so are now on utility room windowsill until they're a bit bigger.
Happy Friday everyone
PS It's raining now, of course!

Hello. Been a day with lots of weather but mainly the ghastly cold, wild, windy, wet kind…with occasional keeks of blue sky through the grey.
Atrocious sleep. So had to set an alarm to make sure I was up this morning.
Was picking up a friend to go and collect something. Then dropped her off and as I was turning the car I thought that looks like another friend who was out for a walk. So chat with her from the inside of my car whilst she stood in the cold!
Quick nip to supermarket on way home and met another friend so chat with her and the bemoaning of the self service checkout! Another till was opened for us!
And home…hello doggy! Then DD2 called and asked if I could go over…I had a little internal growl as I was going to do something else but went over anyway. The Pup was delighted to see me…it’s been over a week which is unusual!
And then home and hello my doggy. A RTC curry for tea.Have washed cushions covers and throws to go down to caravan this weekend. So have a pile that I need to bag up… hoping to have everything back down by next weekend ( when season officially starts) …my airing cupboard shall thank me!

Evening all 😊
First the fantastic news 🎉 we exchanged today and will complete two weeks today!
We won’t move in straight away, we’ve got our rental until 24th May ( the day we go on holiday for 3 weeks!). We’ve got to buy beds and other furniture and have wardrobes built.got to get building insurance but it is proving a little difficult in an unoccupied house? Any advice?
Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes 😊I had a lovely birthday, our lunch at a seafood restaurant was good. I had two starters, haddock chowder and Cromer dressed crab 🦀 OH had a very good cod and chips.
Twin sister and niece are coming down tomorrow to celebrate all our birthdays at local Turkish restaurant, which is supposed to be very good.
Shopping at Aldi today, everything seems expensive even there. Will be glad when we’re not paying big £ for rent! The idea was to put the money from my house sale into easy access accounts and the interest would cover the rent. Eh no, it’s proved so difficult opening accounts that most
of the money stayed in my current account 🤷♀️
Have a good weekend everyone, suppose to be warmer and dry tomorrow 🤞😊5 -
belated birthday greetings @PaulieHerts that chowder looks yummy
woke up with a cold m'eh so have worked from home and had a pyjama day.
- managed to get quite a bit of admin done (stayed off marking cos head not up to it)
- porridge for breakfast - don't have a spurtle so use the wrong end of a wooden spoon - @mhagster is that acceptable?
- got AI to do a draft of a brochure for our Centre - not a bad first pass - have now edited, added pictures and am happy to share with colleagues for feedback
- add to playlist - one of my favourite radio programmes
- watching the replay of the men's curling - hooray (though sad obviously for the women's team)

Another atrocious sleep. I can get to sleep just don’t really stay asleep!
Anyway got up early and had an industrious start to the day, wrote a list. And ticked it all off!
Everywhere hoovered. Flowers sorted out. I have some beautiful irises. Packed up all the cushions and throws to go to caravan. Did a teeny tiny bit of work…printed and invoice made. Changed the curtains over. Heavy ones down and lighter ones up and it looks so much brighter. Springs a coming…in my living room at least. Bathrooms clean. Stripped my bed .
Painted two sets of bedroom drawers…been on the mental to do list for a while.DD2 came over and we took the dogs to CP and had a walk. Dropped off stuff in caravan…and then the rain absolutely poured down, so I’m glad we avoided that!

For Friday
- Dog walk - stayed dry and it wasn’t too cold. Especially at this time of year going on walk once a week it changes so much and plants are growing and buds are forming.
- Chat with dogs owner always good to catch up.
- Met my mum - was for her Christmas present. All trains went ok and both arrived at station at same time.
- Good lunch - steak and chips on the lunch menu so cheaper.
- Went to theatre and enjoyed ourselves.
- Good trip home and heavens opened 5 minutes after I got home.
For Saturday
- House is clean.
- Daffodils and hellebores picked from the garden cheering the place up.
- Listened to the rugby - pleased I wasn’t watching England play. At least I achieved something when match was on!
- Did some gardening and managed to weed fairly easily. It wasn’t too muddy. My friendly robin was supervising as usual.
- Watched the curling. Shame about the result. It will be another 4 years before I watch it again.

the sun the sun - I have stripped my bed and the sheets are blowing on the line
