I picked up a 75 percent off pasta bake from Aldlii yesterday and had it tonight, safe to say tonight we can see why it was it was very underwhelming, glad we didn’t pay full price.
The house is actually clean.
Apple pie is cooking through making the house smell lovely.
I've re found my love of reading with some short ghost stories which feels like it's working.
All sets of paws are in the house, one more vet bill also on the horizon.
Meal planning all from the freezer at the moment.

For Sunday and Monday
- Stayed in the warm and dry on Sunday.
- Watched more rugby. After the first 10 minutes thought Wales would lose by more than they did.
- Seeing all the daffodils and snowdrops on walk to bus on Monday a cheerful sight.
- Work could have been worse. A manager was on leave and the other didn’t talk to me.
- Some nice patients.
- Roasted veg with couscous for tea. Very easy and tasty.
- Enjoying my book.

For yesterday,
Bright, sunny morning and having to wear my sunglasses as I drove into town.
The old gent who tapped on my window in the car park, adamant that I had a flat. Explained about low profile tyres etc and he was most interested, his wife was mouthing apologies to me over his shoulder but I just thanked him for his kindness.
Watched a bit of cricket with my lunch, England scrapped through to the next round 🙈
Spent the afternoon at the yard, the sun had disappeared by this point and normal, rainy business had been restored. Nice to be with my girl as always though.
Watched first episode of The Curfew, sparked an interesting debate on the concept.

Good afternoon. Sunny 🌞Hooray!
Yoga yesterday. We all remarked as we went in how lovely it was to see the sunshine. By the time we came out, an hour later, it was raining. Back to normal!
Went to visit my friend after yoga. She had fallen in her garden the previous evening while looking for her cat. It had left her a bit shaken up but she seemed ok physically. The cat was ok, of course.
The clearing of bitsas in the freezer was very successful. Some unusual meals. All tasty but can never be replicated.
Lots to do but I think I'll enjoy sitting in the sun a while longer (inside, of course. It's very cold out there)
Happy 🌞 day everyone

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1)Not a bad sleep but a lot of dreams.
2) Cleaned the garage which the ancient cat thinks is an extended toilet...
3) Did a lot of washing up and washing.
4) Smaller son and I had a cooked breakfast in Morrisons.
5) Bigger son came round for a game of darts plus board games. He had a job interview today and has a new tattoo.
6) Bigger son replaced the shower hose for us.
7) Made pancakes with Nutella and strawberries.

Made up the flour/milk/eggs pancake ingredients and left it to stand in the fridge, they were lovely, we had the usual sugar and lemon.
Dinner tonight is from the freezer burger, chips, and onion rings.
Portioned up the Costco meat and grated the cheese all to the freezer, filled up with fuel as we were there.
Refilled the bird feeders and they were on it as I walked away as it is chilly out there, it feels colder than its balmy 6 degrees.
I swept around with a lot of ferret assistance; it’s done slower but with a lot of laughing.

Tuesday…
Was a cold and frosty start. Bright blue sky.
Started a book. Not read in ages. So sat in the living room with the door shut ( everywhere else is open plan. And put the little electric fire on, blanket on my knee. Dog at my side and just read. Then had to go and pick up DD2 for a hospital appointment. Thank goodness I took my book😆 I just sat and read. We managed to get a car park space ( I was all set just to drop her off and go wait in the next village ) parked between 2 badly parked cars…so I was guided in and out.
And then we were meeting friend for late lunch with a just let me know when you’re done and I’ll come and meet you…we were nearest to where we were going but length of time in big roadworks meant we arrived at the same time.
I had ordered a chicken Caesar wrap…chicken was still raw…so that was sent back, something else ordered and my meal not charged. And as I was drinking water I was a very cheap date…zero !But we had a good catch up and a laugh.
Friend dropped DD2 off ( hurrah) as the thought of driving in rush hour traffic all the way to hers and then back to mine wasn’t appealing…so just me to get home and then back joy of driving home in the light. And the joy of the dog as I arrived home just in time for his tea.And I sat and finished my book. Which had been a nice little story with a nice ending.
Early to bed to stay warm.
